Very insightful tour. Communa 13 can be crowded with tourists, but the team takes you back routes and shows you more of the neighborhood. Alex was a great guide, with wonderful explanations of the art we saw. We enjoyed and appreciated his discussion of the difficulties Communa 13 has had in the past and what the community is doing to change things.

Our guide Julio did such a great job explaining the history of Comuna 13, we learned a lot, got to see lots of graffiti, the snacks provided on the tour tasted so good & the breakdance we got to see was great, Julio was very passionate about his community which was a plus!

This was a great tour, Esteban was an awesome tour guide. The tour went over the history of Comuna 13 and how it has changed so much in the past 30 years.

Nancy was very knowledgeable and is such a sweet tour guide. I would do it again if she were my guide! She also told us some her personal stories, which I appreciated! The snacks provided were delicious and Comuna 13 was such an eye opening experience for me! 100/10 would recommend!

I first visited Comuna 13 back in 2012 and it’s really encouraging to see the positive changes for the community. The tour guide, Esteban, was great and shared some really personal and moving background on the tour that made the experience even more special.

This tour was not what we expected. We only got to see a few pieces of graffiti and got to see a 10 minute break dancing routine and got to hear 30 minutes of history of some of the darker periods of Columbian history. We saw maybe 3 murals of graffiti and then it got dark. The food was a sample of the culture.

Amazing tour! Got to try local food, learned about history of Comuna 13 and overall had a great time! Totally loved our host - Carolin Aza!

Esteban was fantastic. He shared a lot of information, was entertaining, and appears to know everyone in Comuna 13. He helped people find things in the neighborhood they were looking for and made sure everyone had a good time.

I went to the tour on May 13 as a solo traveller. Tbh I was going there a bit nervous by looking at the area. When I arrived I was a bit lost of the meeting point, but I messaged them on WhatsApp and they were very helpful. The whole experience was amazing, the history, the once in a life experience. I’d really recommend it.

Alex was a great host, I would do this tour again any time I am in town. So much knowledge about this area, and there is no way to know all of this on your own.

Our tour guide, Alex, did a fantastic job showing us around Comuna 13, providing details about the history of the community, and answering all of our questions. He is very personable and l, because he grew up in Comuna 13, is very knowledgeable about the area and very open to discussing his experience there. He truly makes you feel like a part of the community and does a great job showing how tight knit the neighborhood is. The tour was the highlight of my time in Medellin and I would definitely recommend it. The only thing I would recommend be changed about the tour is the order - we didn’t get to learn about the history until later into the tour and it would’ve been helpful to learn about it earlier in the tour.

Had the chance to do the tour today with our guide, Alex. Not only did he took the time to tell us about the history and the changes of the famous district over the years. But he also took the time to tell us about his personal upbringing, being born and raised there. Throughout the tour, we had the chance to interact with other locals, and he made the tour feel very personal. Would 100% recommend

The food!!!! Loved the empanadas and the fried green plantain with salsa and most importantly the mango icicle. Catalyna was the best tour guide we could ever get and she made us feel really apart of the Colombian culture. From the dancers to the rappers, we were constantly entertained whilst having some amazing views of the graffiti and the city from the highest point in the Comuna.

Amazing experience! I highly recommend booking and visiting Comuna 13, beyond wonderful experience! Bring cash !
