We went on our your yesterday with João as our tour guide. He is the friendliest guy ever! Super passionate about his job and made the trip. I can’t say how much this trip made our holiday, if you’re thinking of booking .. do it!! We had the most fantastic time exploring the beautiful Portuguese lands & swimming in waterfalls. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you João :)

The tour was really well organised. Marco was a great guide, very professional and adapted the itinerary according to our needs and preferences . The food they offered was also ok (you get also something sweet and a fruit). I totally recommend.

We had an amazing time in Geres National Park with our guide Renato! Our group of eight, visiting from France, embarked on a small hike of a few kilometers starting from a charming local village. The tour included two optional swims in the refreshing cold mountain waters and a delightful picnic lunch with a vegetarian option available. Renato was full of energy and had a deep love for nature, which made our experience truly enjoyable! He shared numerous interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, making the hike both educational and engaging. His passion for the environment was contagious, and he ensured everyone in the group felt included and excited. The main trail was perfect for all skill levels, offering plenty of opportunities to soak in the stunning scenery and capture memorable photos. In addition to the hike, there were several other stops throughout the tour, each offering unique and beautiful views of the park. These additional stops allowed us to experience more of the park's diverse landscapes and natural beauty. The organization of the tour was top-notch, from the punctual pickup to the well-planned itinerary, which thoughtfully included restroom breaks. Every detail was carefully arranged, contributing to a seamless and enjoyable adventure. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Geres National Park.

Great tour with Americo. We were able to see some amazing sights in nature, swim in the cool, fresh water next to waterfalls, and had a very filling and tasty lunch too! Recommend this excursion with Americo to get outside the city and see some natural sights as well.

We had a lovely day away from the city. Tomas was our tour guide for our small group of five. The weather was poor and Tomas adapted the tour so we saw more waterfalls up close rather than going to viewpoints where the view would have been obscured by cloud. We had lunch at a restaurant in the park which had been arranged for us so we could share various dishes. Tomas was a wonderful tour guide and gave us lots of information about the local area, who was enthusiastic throughout (especially when he spotted local animal life!) and who checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the tour. The pick up and drop off service was excellent, and we also really appreciated that our guide took photos throughout the day and sent them to us afterwards so we could focus on enjoying the surroundings during the day. We had a good day and it broke up our city day nicely but this trip isn't advertised accurately. It isn't a hike but a series of stops within the park, each of which required a short walk (of no more than 30 minutes, with varying levels of difficulty) to get to. We were expecting a day long day out (something similar to a day in the Yorkshire Dales or Lake District) but it felt that we spent a good deal of time in the minivan in a fairly small area of the park. You'd still have to be fit and quite nimble to take some of the steep/ narrow paths but it wasn't the excursion we were expecting, perhaps five miles with plenty of stops across the full day. To add for further information, there weren't any changing facilities at the waterfall, so only bring your swim gear if comfortable changing in front of others. The water was extremely cold so I would urge travellers to exercise caution unless used to cold water swimming, as jumping into such cold water can be dangerous. Though giving requirements in advance, the vegetarian/ vegan options for lunch were very limited. There was a coffee and restroom stop before entering the park as well as the lunch and restroom stop, and as the tour focused on a fairly small area there was the option of further restroom stops if needed. Overall a good day which we enjoyed, and our guide was excellent, just more detail needed on the listing hence four rather than five stars. Thank you again to Tomas who really made the day despite the drizzle!

Best day ever with our guide, Francisco!. He was funny, kind, knowledgeable and so much fun. Off beaten path away from tourists. Quaint village, beautiful hike, wonderful meal and lots of wine. A day we will never forget!!

Lovely tour of Geres. Amazing view points, had a swim under a beautiful waterfall, tried local honey and enjoyed a delicious picnic in nature. Marco was an excellent tour guide and very helpful!

We went with Marco and had such a good time! He was a great guide and made constant stops to let us explore the area! He was very conscious of what the group needed and I strongly recommend for anyone who is thinking about it!

Beautiful views and delicious lunch purchased from a local business. Marco was an incredible guide! The day went seamlessly, where he explained the itinerary ahead and also reminded us throughout - ensuring we were adequately hydrated with bathroom stops along the way.

The trip is amazing! From the number of people (we are only 9 including our guide/driver Americo who is very sensitive to everyone and very nice) to the beautiful Geres and the souvenir shops. I highly recommend you visit Geres when in Portugal. The water and waterfalls are beautiful and clean. The hike is not bad at all but not boring as well. I got a vegetarian food for our picnic and it is delicious. Oh, I like the souvenirs in Geres more too and the store I bought from gave discount! 😁

Stunning views, crystal clear mountain streams & waterfalls - beautiful to swim in but takes your breath away!! A lovely way to experience the beauty of the national park in a day.

Marco was the best tour guide! He was very clear on instructions and very informative with the history and stories about the park and local towns. He took great care that everyone on the group was safe and able to handle the hike. The hikes was not difficult and beautiful views. The lunch was delicious. Would recommend!

Framsisco was our guide the tour is a mixture of walking & driving around the area stopping to view the waterfalls & beautiful vistas, definitely recommend the tour we had a nice lunch in restaurant and we had a great day

Even tho it was a rainy day our tour guide Framcisco did his best to show us around and make it a beautiful and unforgettable tour of the park. He was knowledgeable, funny and very easy going. I like how he made us laugh and did his best to let me connect with the others on the tour. Like how he plan a good tour even when the weather wasn't cooperating. Best tour I had it was magical for me and best tour guide too he made me feel like he was a friend and smile. I hope to have a tour of the park again with hime next time I can't wait.

A great day out with a friendly guide. Beautiful waterfalls and countryside, peaceful walking tracks, nice food with regional flavours all made locally. Interesting local history and stories. Experienced driver on winding roads(and it rained also for part of our day - safe hands)

Tomás was an outstanding guide, he was knowledgeable, fun, kind, insightful, and made the experience memorable. He also did a great job of creating bonds and connecting people in the group. He was sensitive to our interests and needs, and has excellent English language skills. He made sure we got the most out of the beauty of Geres. Bravo!

Fabulous day trip from Porto in a small group. 90 mins car trip to the National Park area, combining village visits with a few shortish walks to beautiful scenery. Very friendly and informative guides - Tiago and Raquel. Excellent driving over winding roads with some rainy conditions at the end of the day. Delicious lunch provided with regional flavors. Totally outstanding! Pickup was spot on and the ride was comfortable. Pre-planned coffee-bathroom breaks. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was impressive-not a cheap bag lunch but rather a full on family style spread at a local restaurant. This trip was a highlight! JJ and Teresa crushed it!! 🤘🏻💥🤘🏻

Teresa and Joao were great guides. I advised them at pickup that I might have trouble hiking long distances because of knee pain. They took my limitations into account without feeling as though any of the group missed out on anything. We took 3 different hikes, they were wonderful. We stopped off at a great restaurant for lunch. I really felt cared for by Teresa and Joao, they were a lot of fun!
