We, a newly retired couple from this USA, had a very enjoyable time on this multi-location safari and highly recommend it to others looking for a bucket-list experience. We were blessed to have Muro as our driver/guide; his experience, knowledge, driving skills (yep, the roads were challenging!), and keen eyes to point our wildlife were invaluable. Muro's professional abilities were exceeded by his obvious genuine personal concern for us as not only paying tourists but also as people who enjoy taking the time to get know & respect each other in a matter of a short few days. Muro knew so much about the animals, there was no question that he could not answer! We felt like were saying goodbye to a good friend when we left! The entire experience was perfect and professional. Peter was great to work with in booking and finalizing details. It was nice to get a face with the name when he came by to personally send us off on the first day of our tour. We added a day in the front end at Tulia lodge which was great to give us a rest day after a long day of flying from Johannesburg through Nairobi. The itinerary was amazing, the pace was perfect, and we saw so much. Thanks to Muro's keen eye we saw over 40 animals and birds. We did Materuni Falls on the first day. We enjoyed the views but note that the description says a short hike. It is actually one hour in and one hour out over slippery rocks and uneven trails. It would be very easy to slip/fall or sprain an ankle. The lunch was good, and the coffee part of the tour was enjoyable. The accommodations were great - we loved Tulia, Under the Shade and Octagon Lodge which were excellent and very magical. A minor detail, we would go with something else instead of the Shuhadia Tented Camp in Serengeti (felt safe and rooms were nice but drinks were very expensive, and we were charged for laundry that we did not ask to be done). We were considering going for the luxury lodge experience but were glad we did not because you really are not at the lodges all that long before you go to sleep, and they are all the same when sleeping! You will not be disappointed in going with Best Day. Everyone is so friendly, and they truly are committed to delivering a top-notch experience. We will recommend to our friends for a worry-free trip!

The tour was so amazing. Muro was our guide and he really took the time to make our experience incredible with the little and big things. He kept an ear out for sightings, took us to see many incredible scenes and animals. We were incredibly blessed with how much we saw (it was a lot, apparently not common at all and we saw the big 5) and the whole tour was very well planned and organised. The team including Stephen, Jackson show that they care by visiting you, touching base with you at the end and are always getting feedback.

We had a safari in August 2022. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro natural reserves; the experience was wonderful and the lodges were perfect (very clean, people very polite and food delicious). But what really made the Safari unforgettable was our guide Jackson. He knows every single spot to see the animals, and he explained to us animals behaviour and habitat. He was very nice and always took care of us. He has an impressive knowledge of these reserves.

We had a safari trip from 23th to 30th august and our guides, John and Jospeh, were the best we could wish. Kind, professionals, cautious and always helpful they did everything to make our safari unforgettable! Asante sana for this experience, I hope to meet you again very soon.

For sure the most exciting experience in my life, lead by our guide Joseph and John, that shared with us all their wide knowledge about animals and historical notions of the national parks we visited (Tarangire, serengeti, lake manyara, ngorongoro). Thanks to them we were able to see all the big five, and also scenes that will be in my heart and in my memory for long time. Particularly mention to John, an authentic person of Tanzania, a Masai with the smile always print on his face that was a real brother during the tour (Asante sana Kaka John!). Best day safaris higly recommended for who wants to enjoy a real safari tour and not only a touristic one.

We are a couple and we booked with bestday safari based on a friend’s recommendation. We booked the mid range offer for 5 days safari: Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Our choice of mid range was sleeping in better conditions than camping safari while maintaining an affordable budget for us. Hope this (long) review below will help you in your safari researches… What I describe below about animals is just a small part of what we experienced. You have to live it to understand it. We highly recommend Bestday Safari, you won’t regret it. A little word on our driver/guide Joseph: he drove very well, we always felt safe. Although most of the roads are bumpy, he tried as possible as he could to make us feel ok. We got the chance to see many animals, Joseph always took time to stop so that we could enjoy every moment. Joseph is patient, fully invested in his job, you can feel he is passionate. Thanks to him, we learnt a lot about animals behaviors and psychology. We got explanations on the history of the national parks. Again, a warm thank you to Joseph. Day 0: We arrived at Kilimandjaro airport, a taxi driver booked by bestday (included in the total price we paid) brought us to Arusha to start safari experience the next day. Tipping the driver is highly recommended, so don’t forget to have cash. We stayed at Tulia hotel (night included in safari price), a quite simple hotel, more than enough. Food was very cheap and extremely generous (the only food that is not included during your safari experience, but safari did not really start…) Day 1: Breakfast at 7:30am. Departure at 8:30am. We met our 5-day driver/guide named Joseph. First stop on a car park to meet the bestday safari manager, he could explain us again what we were going to do and reminded us the tipping recommendations. Second stop we arrived at Tarangire national park at noon. We did a 2h game drive and got the chance to see elephants, lion, zebras.. then we ate a lunch box and went back for a 1h game drive in the park. Got the chance to see girafes and many other animals. Then a 2h drive towards Karatu to stay at Octagon lodge for the night. Very good food and generous (buffet). Room was clean, simple and got private bathroom. Day 2: Breakfast at 7:30am Departure at 8:30am. 4h drive until Serengeti gate. Be prepared for a very very very bumpy ride, but that’s the price to pay to discover wildlife and live an unforgettable experience 😉 12:30 Lunch stop with the classical lunch box: chicken, sandwich, fruit juice, fruits, desserts, simple but more than enough. Then a 4h30 game drive in the Serengeti park. Got the chance to see serval cat, playing brother elephants, lion female breastfeeding… Arrived at 6:30pm at Tukaone tented camps. Beautiful sunset, service staff very helpful and kind, buffet was excellent again. The tent was beyond our expectations: comfortable and huge bed, private bathroom, clean towels… Day 3: Breakfast at 7:30am Departure at 8am. Full day game drive ! Lions, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, cheetah, you name it… you don’t spend 10 minutes without seeing animals. Lunch box at noon. Arrived at 5:30pm for a second night at Tukaone tented camps. Day 4: Breakfast at 7:30am Departure at 8am. 4h game drive and got the chance to see a little rhino ! (And many other animals) Lunch box at noon. Spotted a leopard in trees on our way back to kuratu, Big Five is now checked ✅ Arrived at 6pm in octagon lodge. Day 5: Breakfast 6:30am Departure 7am. 2h drive until ngorongoro crater. After 4 days of safari you believe you’ve seen everything ? No, no, no, no ! Ngorongoro is really a must do: huge hordes of gnou/wildeebeest, zebras, buffalos… walking on infinite plains. That was great. Lunch box at noon. Before getting out of the crater, we spotted again a rhino, we really felt lucky, Joseph agreed. Joseph drove us back to our guest house in Arusha and the 5-day experience ended. Also, I would like to mention that we were only the two of us during all the safari, even though we did not book a private tour, and this may have contributed to our great experience, we can’t say.

We embarked on a remarkable 5-day safari adventure with BestDaySafaris, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From our initial interactions with Peter through email to the actual safari itself, every aspect was flawlessly executed. The company came highly recommended, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Peter's meticulous planning tailored the safari exactly to our preferences, and his rapid responses, often within a few hours, addressed all our inquiries. Notably, even when unforeseen flight delays caused us to arrive much later than expected in Kilimanjaro, Peter's swift adjustments via WhatsApp ensured our safari itinerary was promptly revised, preserving the excellence of our experience. Stevie also deserves praise for his warmth and assistance. He greeted us upon arrival and departure, furnishing invaluable information about our accommodations and the safari. His presence was immensely reassuring and informative. However, the highlight that rendered our safari truly unforgettable was undeniably our guide, Muro. From the instant he greeted us at the airport to the bittersweet farewell at our hotel, our synergy with him was remarkable. Muro's unwavering friendliness created an atmosphere of safety and care throughout our journey. Attentive to our culinary and lodging preferences, he ensured our comfort at all times. His exceptional driving skills inspired confidence, even on the most challenging terrains. During our safari expeditions, Muro's expertise shone brilliantly. He effortlessly navigated us to the optimal vantage points to witness an array of wildlife, including the incredibly rare rhino. His wealth of knowledge about the animals, plants, and the ecosystems enriched every sighting. Muro not only provided information but also kindled our curiosity, making sure each moment was an educational one. Beyond the wildlife, his insights into Tanzanian culture enhanced our experience. Organizing a visit to a Massai village and introducing us to the Tanzanite gemstone's allure showcased his commitment to crafting a holistic and culturally enriching adventure. As we bid farewell to Muro, it was with a heavy heart, as we realized that our time together had forged a deep bond. What began as a professional relationship transformed into a genuine friendship that will stay in our hearts forever. In summary, our safari journey surpassed every anticipation, etching an indelible adventure into our lives. Our heartfelt gratitude extends to BestDaySafaris and particularly to Muro for turning our lifelong safari dreams into reality.

Good sightseeing but very disappointing guide The accommodations were amazing. The food was various and very good. The employees at octagon lodge and Tukaone camp were really nice. We recommend. But all your adventure depends on 1 person, your guide. Unfortunately ours was really disappointing. Showing no interest into our safari, not sharing his knowledge if we don't ask question. While stopping for admiring animals it took that time to use his phone. Wasn't giving any information about the plan of the day (time of drive...) Most of the day, like on August 6th, he passed many phone calls which was not helping us in the search of different species or just to share information. Felt not in security sometimes while driving, drives fast, texting and on calls while driving. Overall safari organization was amazing but we had the wrong guide.

I recently completed a 6 day Safari tour with BestDay Safaris & cannot recommend them enough! My tour guide Morrow knew absolutely everything about the animals & their behaviours, having 20 years of experience doing Safaris. The company is local to Arusha so no third parties with added fees & happy to know my money was going directly into the hands of locals. All of the accommodations were up to Western Standards (clean & comfortable). Highly enjoyed the stays at Eileen’s Trees & the Tukaone Tented Camp! They made it easy with airport pick up/drop off & all food included. We saw the Big Five & more animals than we could’ve dreamed of seeing! My photos below were taken in my IPhone, that’s how close we got!! If strapped for time, skip Lake Manyara but the Serengeti & Ngoragoro Crater are absolute must sees! Highly recommend this company.

We are still excited of our days spent in Tanzania for Safari trip. Bestday Safari has been great managing the perfect tour for my family. They were so focused on our needs and thought about everything for our vacation. The sale agent Aswhin fast in replying to our several questions, Stephen Who let us free to decide all payments, so kind at the end of the tour coming to say hello at the airport, and our driver Six a super guide who was so nice with us, really a friend. Also Bony the guide for The Kilimangiaro day trekking has been really nice and good. The parks we visited have been a fantastic dream we’ll never forget. The accomodation were beautiful above all Tukaone Camp Tend in Northern Serengeti and Eileens tree in Karatu. We recommended Bestday Safari to everyone decide to plan a trip in Tanzania. We surely come back to hike Kilimangiaro mountain and to see serengeti gnu migration in the right season. We obviously choose Bestday Safari company :-)

Truly a trip of a lifetime. My husband and I just came back from a unforgettable 7 day safari with Bestday Safaris. We had been planning this trip for many years and had started emailing with Peter and then Covid hit and we were forced to put everything on hold. A couple of years later we picked up the conversation again with Peter and he was able to guide us to make the trip affordable while still being able to have the experience we truly wanted. Everything about the safari was great, our drive/guide Tuma was very informative and provided us with information about his country, the people and cultures, the various tribes, and of course the birds and animals we saw. He encouraged us to ask questions and we felt very much at ease with him for the entire trip. He even quizzed us from time to time to see if we were paying attention. We also enjoyed meeting the local people at each of the accommodations we stayed at, whether it was the Osupuko Lodge that had floor to ceiling windows where we could gaze out and look at wildlife or the Tukaone Serengeti Camp where we could hear the wildebeest and lions at night each location was welcoming, unique and clean. The highlight was of course the National Parks such as the Tarangire National Park which was my wife’s favorite because of the elephants or the Serengeti National Park which was my favorite for the Lions and the Cheetahs.

Bestday were amazing, both before and during our week's safari. I contacted a number of companies and Peter's emails were the most comprehensive offering various options and prices etc. Then our guide/driverJoseph was amazing and such a pleasure to be with for 8 to 10 hours a day in the safari vehicle. It was incredible the animals he spotted that we would have missed. A superb choice of hotels/tented camps and they made it a great holiday to remember. Ian Cameron in Dubai.

My fiance and I did a 5 day safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti with Best Day Safaris and it was AMAZING!!! I have been fortunate enough to do a few safaris so far in Kenya, Botswana and South Africa and this has been by far the best experience I have had! From the start Peter was super helpful, accommodating and flexible even though we had so many issues with flights due to covid. He made the process so easy and took the stress out of it. He gave us so much help and recommendations on how to make the most of our time in Tanzania and get the best experiences possible. We decided to add a day hike to Mandara Hut on Mount Kilimanjaro on the day that we landed at Kilimanjaro airport which was amazing and would thoroughly recommend if you don't have the time to do the whole of Kilimanjaro. Our guide Boney was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable! The day we landed was my partners birthday and Peter was so thoughtful and organised a surprise for when we reached our accommodation. He really did go above and beyond for us! The Tulia Hotel accommodation was wonderful too, beautiful, clean, great food and the staff were brilliant! When we started our safari we met our guide Jackon - we call him Action Jackson now - he is THE BEST! We went to Tarangire and Serengeti with him and he is by far the best safari guide I have ever met! We saw the most amazing things with him, he just seemed to have this sixth sense of where the animals would be. Not only that, he knew so much. We learnt so much from him and about him, and you can truly tell he loves his job. He is a wonderful man and I am so glad we got the opportunity to meet him. We joined another person on our day to Ngorongoro which was lovely and we got to meet Joseph, another guide. He was fantastic. Such a lovely person, knowledgeable and great fun! Tukaone Camp in the Serengeti was next level amazing! The setting, the scenery, the staff, the food! Impeccable! I'd also like to note that we got engaged on this trip, and Jackson was so accommodating in arranging the surprise with my now, fiance! It truly was the trip of a lifetime and honestly, Best Day Safaris are just amazing in every single way! Everything was so well organised, nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff is fully committed to making your experience the very best it can be! If you are going to book a safari, use this company! You wont regret it! :-)

What a safari…. They say the Serengeti is a bucket list item: It was,… and it’s on my bucket list again. Once is not enough! We went on a 6 day safari with Best Day Safaris, firstly to celebrate a 60th, and obviously to enjoy the wildlife etc. The trip incorporated Tarangire National Park, The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Conservancy and the crater, as well as Lake Manyara. The wildlife was exceptional. We saw the big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros) plus zebra and blue wildebeest, Thompson and grant gazelle (by the tens of thousand). The raptors were also out, not to mention the hyena. Peter from Best Day Safaris, met us on the evening prior to going on safari, as well as on our return. We were expertly guided by Alie Juma. A fantastic guide who drove safely and made traveling on the gravel roads as comfortable as possible. We really can’t say enough about Alie’s knowledge, disposition and kindness. A guide in a million, who has been doing this for more than 10 years. Peter arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife while on safari which was a real treat. Thanks Peter. The nature of a safari like this, and traveling into the Serengeti can present certain challenges/breakdowns etc. Not one thing went wrong with our trip. Hats off to you! Thanks Alie. We arrived as visitors, and left as friends. See you again some time in the near future. Dave and Christina

Unforgettable experience In September 2022 we were on safari in Tanzania for 5 days. We chose the low budget version with tents. (Lake Manyara, Tarangire, 2 days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater). We booked, based on a recommendation from friends, directly through the provider "BestDaySafaris". All the time we were in contact with Peter. He answered all our questions about safaris and put together different packages until our wishes were fulfilled. Before the safari we chose the free night at the hotel where we were picked up by our guide Joseph on the first safari day. Since we were only two on the first day, Joseph stopped for us in town so we could get a sim card. After that, an incredibly great time began for us. Joseph was the best guide we could have asked for. We affectionately called him "Eagle Eye" because he really spotted EVERY animal. The hiding place could still be so good. He enriched us daily with an incredible amount of knowledge about the animals, Tanzania and the Maasai. In addition, there was our chef Emmanuel, who provided us with authentic African cuisine every day. We would not have been surprised if we had come back after the trip with a few kilos more. The food was really excellent! Time flew by and on the last day we left our group with heavy hearts. On the day of departure a driver was organized to take us back to Arusha. There we could pick up our remaining luggage at the office. The driver also brought us to our next accommodation. The next day we flew from Arusha to Zanzibar. Without us even asking, BestDaySafaris organized a driver for us here as well. We are completely enthusiastic and can highly recommend BestDaySafaris. If you decide for a safari in Tanzania, then decide for BestDaySafaris and ask for Joseph & Emanuel <3. We can only thank the whole team several times for this terrific time!!!
