We were in Italy for ten days and this activity was our highlight! We were really really impressed by the team and the activity. The team were so friendly and helpful, and the class was so fun and informative! It was great to taste local wines and we had the option to buy some more at a very reasonable price! We were taught how to make pasta from scratch and then given the option of three different types of sauces. The activity also included a short walking tour and a tour of their old wine cellars. The small group size allowed conversation and collaboration which added to the experience. Particularly after tasting a few glasses of wine!

This is the BEST experience. We were a group of 17 and all of us LOVED it. The tour guide was awesome.

A genuinely incredible cooking class, I'd recommend it to absolutely everyone! The main man was so friendly and helpful, telling us so much info, teaching us clearly how to make the pasta well, helping each student if necessary, giving us so much history about the area even showing us around the cellar. We were around the table with a few other groups/couples making the pasta and drinking wine, it was such a lovely afternoon and the pasta was delicious in the end! Thank you so much for having us and teaching us how to make pasta, I've made it at home since! The only thing I would recommend is to get to the train station early as we were very confused by the correct train platform and ended up missing it so hard to get a taxi!

Such a fun and delicious night! Our awesome hostess Giulia met us at the train station and took us on a brief walking tour of the beautiful town of Frascati. The views were amazing! Next we went to her family's business downtown, where we started with a tasting of two white Frascati wines made by her family. Both were delicious, it was hard to pick a favorite. The wines were accompanied by small individual charcuterie boards. Next was the pasta making class, which was so much fun! We learned how to make different types of pasta and now I know how to cut it by hand instead of using the Kitchenaid pasta attachment :) While our pasta cooked, the chef showed us how to make the sauce we chose to go with it. Wine was offered for purchase by the bottle to drink during the class and with your dinner. After dinner we got a brief, interesting tour of the old cellar where they used to store the wines.

Making pasta from scratch and tasting great Frascati wine. What more could you ask for? And Frascati is an easy-to-get-to beautiful hill down not far from Rome.

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! We took thr train (which requires an app for the train purchase) $1.50 each way or buy tickets to Frascati station at a kiosk at the train station. U meet the guide at the Frascati station where u walk 5 min up some steps and around the village to the location (from scratch) in Frascati. U make pasta, sauce and even have some yummy wine to round out the experience. Walk around town before heading back to rome. U can drive it as well in about 30 min.

I was on holiday in Rome and decided to try something different on the last day. I booked the pasta making session with From Scratch, and I can honestly say that this was the highlight of my entire trip (Rome included). I joined in with the afternoon class after the rest of my morning group cancelled at short notice. The host, Irene, made sure I wasn't left out as we ventured into the city for coffee and a 1-to-1 tour of Frascati! The pasta making class itself was superb - we had a friendly group of around 15 people and had great laughs as we created our pasta, explored the wine cellar, and tasted some delicious wines. I count myself incredibly lucky that I found this experience!

My wife and I arrived early and we were offered a fresh cup of espresso, very welcoming! Our tour "chef" was Nico and he expertly guided us through the pasta making experience. I never believed I could make pasta, but I did! We tasted some wines, enjoyed the company of the other participants, shared wine with the others as we made our pasta. Our group of pasta makers had people from all over the world. What a treat that was for me and my wife. To finish we cooked our pasta, chose a sauce and ate a hearty homemade pasta meal! Great value for the money. Would I do this again.... absolutely yes, sign me up! P.S. Frascati is a great town to explore. Plan on spending time after the class to wander around town. You will not be disappointed.

There are many cooking classes in Rome, but not too many that take you outside of it. This one does. From the moment on that train ride that city buildings gave way to aqueducts then vineyard-filled countryside, you knew you were in something special... and this wasn't even the class yet. Meeting with fellow students and our tour guide (in this case, Nico) really set things off. Nico gave us a primer on Frascati, the Castelli Romani, and how the remains of an old volcano shaped the area and its people. You could tell he was really enthusiastic about the class, his hometown and he was the type of person you could easily pick his brain for more details. Once we got to the class site, we got a quick introduction into Frascati's wines and the different grapes that go into them as well as the pride people there have in them. Pasta making was fun, but even better was just getting to see the actual cooking of our kneaded, hand-rolled work, as well as preparing sauces. Getting to see the cellars was just icing on the cake. The next time I am back to visit Frascati, I hope to take friends and family members along for this class, as I would repeat it just to see what new things I could learn about pasta, wines, and the Frascati region.

This was a complete spur of the moment experience. My daughter and I booked it one hour and thirty minutes before it was due to start. A quick taxi ride and scenic train journey later, we were met by our lovely host at the train station. From the minute we arrived our host was engaging, informative and funny. We were told the town's history and saw the most amazing views of the countryside and further to Rome, from the top of the steps. A short walk later we were at our venue. We had wine tasting (their own wine, which was amazing,) with cheese, wine and pastrami to accompany it. Then we got down to making the pasta. Our host was very informative and helpful when needed. I was actually surprised how easy it was to make the pasta. After that we had a look at the cellar underneath, where the wine used to be fermented and some further history of how the cellars were previously used. Next, we cooked our pasta, which is so unbelievably easy to do. Finally, the best part was eating the pasta which we had made ourselves. It was truly an amazing experience! There were people from five different continents of varying ages, so the talk around the table whilst we were eating and drinking was very diverse. I would 100% recommend this experience.

Nico’s sense of humor and light hearted attitude made the evening a lot of fun! It was nice to hear a little about Frascati and the wine making there. Of course, making pasta was the highlight and it was most enjoyable and delicious!

Fabulous evening making and eating our own pasta, tasting the local wine and visiting the underground wine cellar. Also had a little tour of the town on the way to the venue and heard all about its history. Great hosts and a lovely venue. Amazing end to our holiday.

Very nice experience with pasta making and wine tasting. Pasta was very tasty and girl who managed the class was so active and positive! There were 15 people at the table making pasta but eveyone has its own palce adn all was very clean and cosy. Frascati town where the master class is taking place is small nice city 30 min away from Rome Termini. But be aware the train goes once per hour and the platform 20B from where train goes is far away from normal platform, so keep extra time to get to the right platform, because i missed my train while walking till the very end of the platform.
