This experience exceeded my expectations by a mile. Elisa was the perfect guide. She combined her knowledge of history, culture, and food and presented information perfectly. She was incredibly organized and handled the class beautifully. What made the cooking experience even more enjoyable were the trips to the markets to choose the meat, seafood, and vegetables that were to make up our meal. We were even given the recipes we used to make our fabulous meal. I cannot recommend this experienced more highly.

I have taken both the paella class in 2023 and the tapas class this spring. We not only learned to cook the recipes, but also learned the history and place of origin of the dishes. Both times, the chefs were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and we had a lot of fun cooking and meeting people from around the world. Well worth the price!

Angel was wonderful! He did a fabulous job of explaining the cooking techniques and kept us all entertained with personal anecdotes and great tips on preparing tapas. The dishes were delicious and easy to prepare. It was very hands on, even getting to use the blow torch to carmelize the sugar on the custards. A great time was had by all. The sangria was definitely flowing which added to the festivity.

Teresa was a great host! She was so informative and related with the entire group very well. We had a wonderful time going to the market, making the sangria and gazpacho and then finally, the paella. So delicious!

This was our last “tour” in Madrid and it was the BEST! The chef was entertaining and informative. She put everyone at ease whether you were the cook in your home or not. The tapas we made were delicious. Be prepared to take leftovers home! Everything was well laid out and the 4 hours flew by. Do the tour…you won’t regret it!

We took the evening tapas class and had an amazing time. There were 12 students total and an instructor who did a great job keeping the class organized. She explained the history of each dish and guided us through making them. The students are paired up to share a cooking station, but the whole group interacts and has fun together. There was a lot of food and it was all delicious. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous cooking class ... I had so much fun and the end result was delicious. I would highly recommend this genuinely Spanish cooking experience.

It was a splendid few hours spent in Madrid. I was with my girls (10 & 13). The class was in pair. My 10-year old has non-dairy diet. They have prepared different ingredients sets for her and she was very proud that she made the 7 dishes on her own! I am very thankful. Teresa is terrific. Always attentive to everyone, teaching us how to make tapas in passion and with laughs. She also educated us from which Spain regions the ingredients come. The sangria was a blast! It was an absolutely wonderful evening we spent there!

We had a wonderful time! Teresa was so energetic and vibrant and taught us so much about Spanish cuisine. The paella turned out delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed the cooking. We also left with lots of other great recs in Madrid. I would take another class with her if I had time!!

Our first time in Spain and this cooking class was amazing! Eduardo was so nice and very knowledgeable about the food, culture and how to properly prepare our dishes. We had a great group that was small and intimate which we prefer. I loved going to the market where we picked up fresh ingredients for our class. Eduardo educated us on everything, we learned so much! What a fabulous experience…we will tell everyone about it!

Angel was an amazing chef and trainer. My wife and I enjoyed the entire experience from the shopping to the prep , to the cooking to the devouring of the food and sangria. Met some wonderful new friends along the way

Date of event: Friday, April 26th Chef: Alicia (?) What a great experience! The highlight of our 3 day stay in Madrid. She was full of information and funny as well - from the trip to the market to buy ingredients to the finale of eating & drinking our creations! Paella, Gazpacho, and Sangria. She talked about the history, the process, with some cool cooking tips! The Kitchen was super clean we had an awesome time! Highly recommended!

We did the night time class which was Tapas and Sangria’s. We learnt a lot of had a lot of fun. I felt at times we could have gone a little faster as it was about 4 1/2 hours long by the time we a lot ate. Overall, super fun experience.

What a fun evening with our chef Angel! Very engaging, be prepared to make and eat a lot of delicious tapas. Homemade sangria was the best. Highly recommend the Cooking Point!

Outstanding time! Great people, great food, conversation and the highlight of our trip to Madrid! Elisa was very knowledgeable and included bits of history behind the dishes that we were making and ultimately eating/sharting as a group. We did the paella class and plan to do the tapas class the next time we are in Madrid. The class is limited to 12 people at a time, which is a perfect number, so book early to ensure you have a spot!

Teresa was a spectacular chef and teacher! She kept all 12 people entertained and busy. She made everything seem simple and gave great advice. The food came out superb and after several hours of enjoyable cooking we ate our own creations and they were the best tapas we had while we were in Madrid! Highly recommend.

Combining the market tour and cooking class made for a superb experience. Eduardo is clearly passionate about providing us with a fabulous experience as well as much appreciated insights into Spanish cookery and culture. The cooking class itself was extremely well run with a seamless transition into the subsequent dining experience. The virtually unlimited Sangrias did not hurt the experience either!
