My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our canal boat tour. Rory was a particularly delightful captain and host. We did the 9pm cruise and it was magical.

Captain Jack is NOT a pirate. He is a boat skipper who can talk and steer the boat at the same time. YES he really can. Very interesting tour and relaxing. Still would have liked Captain Jack Sparrow though.

Great tour with Captain Roland! He shared a lot of great information and stories about Amsterdam. Our group laughed and exchanged stories over snacks and Heineken. The one thing I would suggest is that, because the group we shared the boat with was quite loud, it was difficult to hear the Captain sometimes as he was speaking. Would suggest using a microphone so everyone could hear better and perhaps interact more. Other than that, would recommend this great way to check out the city!

An excellent tour of Amsterdam's many waterways. Roloff was an excellent guide with the perfect sense of dry humour which never took itself seriously. He even recommended the Indonesian restaurants in the De Pijb and dish: the rice plate. Which we're now having. Highly recommended.

The canal tour with Mark was fair. He was very hard to hear, most of the cruise he was just talking to a few people at a time and not the whole group. The beer and wine were warm because they were sitting in tepid water. Halfway through the cruise he finally offered the snacks and drinks which were sitting out because someone started taking them. The boat was loud like a bearing was going out. Glad we got to see the city from the canal but would’ve loved to hear the history along with it so we knew what we were looking at.

The canal cruise is a must do. Captain Ko was very gracious, informative and funny. We learned so much about Amsterdam and the canal system while enjoying some food and drink. Excellent photos.
