We thoroughly enjoyed our canal cruise with captain Gus! He was knowledgeable and entertaining. The small group is the way to go, comfortable and casual. Highly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful introduction to Amsterdam with Jaime. The boat was beautiful- brand new and very comfortable and we loved the small, personalized feel of the tour.

Great canal cruise. In 90 minutes you have time to really enjoy amsterdam canals and discover all the main spots. Great captain Gustav giving lots of explanations.

Definitely the highlight of our trip, the kids would have happily stayed on the boat all day! We were lucky with a beautiful sunny day and well entertained by Captain Atilla and learned lots about Amsterdam.

Excellent small group 90 minute boat cruise. Greeted warmly upon arrival by Captain Aaron and made ourselves comfortable on open boat. Complete narration cruising along the various routes along the canal gave the tour a personal touch. Highly recommend to anyone.

Strange. Our guide was an American dude. He spent much of the tour on more obscure and less scenic canals on the east side of town, and his fact citations about the city were odd and sometimes questionable. I booked it specifically to have an open air experience, and he was very concerned about the possibility of rain and potential impact on his boat so the boat was covered for much of the cruise though it wasn’t raining. He did open a couple of flaps as the cruise went on. Thanks, I guess.

This was a perfect way to end our first day in Amsterdam. Jamie was a great guide, shared Amsterdam history, pointed out interesting info about the architecture and houseboats, and made everyone feel comfortable during the 90-minute cruise. There were blankets on board for the chilly night air and cold drinks for purchase. Highly recommend doing this at sunset for the beautiful light on the water and the night lights in the canals.

After much research we picked this cruise company for our tour of the Amsterdam waterways due to the wonderful reviews they already have received and the personal touch offered. To begin with, we were invited to bring our own refreshments on board or purchase from them at very reasonable prices. No pressure either way. From there it only got better. Captain Jamie was completely bilingual and offered personal and local history of everywhere he took us. The trip was an amazing 90 minutes long, whereas 60 is the norm, and as mentioned by others, the size of his 12 - seater, brand new electric cruise boat allowed us to see many nooks and crannies of the canal system we could not have experienced otherwise. To know our trip posed no threat to the environment plus the quiet of the motor could ensure we heard the complete commentary, added to our enjoyment of the trip. Jamie could professionally answer every question posed and offered many insights into the Dutch history and current way of life. It was so nice to be able to chat with our guide rather than just hear an audio recording with no personal touch, crammed aboard a huge glassed-in vessel and not be able to ask questions or stand to take pictures. This experience was the definite highlight of our time spent in Amsterdam. Thanks Jamie!

I was very disappointed of our boat tour. Our guide provided little information about the history or current culture of Amsterdam. He did identify some buildings along the way but I didn’t get any real sense of the city.

We loved this trip! Our captain was very pleasant and gave us interesting information. Because the boat is small we could go on very small canals. The views were so beautiful. And best of all, the boat is electric so it was very peaceful. We will leave Amsterdam soon, otherwise we would try their other routes. Thanks for a great outing!

Great little tour around the canals. Great information and cracking views you really get a feel for the way amsterdam was constructed in the 1600s. It was small, there was polite chat between the guests on board. They had wine and beer on board available to purchase if desired. Electric boat, cruised around in relative silence taking in all what amsterdam has to offer. It was chilly so take that into account as the trip ventured out briefly into the harbour which was cold. Would recommend this tour.

This was my second tour with Atilla. I live in Amsterdam and have taken many boat tours. This is my favorite and from now on the only one I will take my friends and family on when they are in town. It is comfortable, fun and informative without overdoing it. I will be back.

A delightful and dreamy canal tour, insightful and interesting, but also relaxing and serene. Great guide, expert pilot, and a wonderful time all around. The perfect way to start our Amsterdam weekend, and everybody’s favorite memory.

Fantastic start to my Amsterdam trip.Learnt loads about the history of the city, its buildings and architecture.Chose this trip with small boat to see the hidden away bits of Amsterdam that might not of found otherwise on foot. It was everything and more I’d hoped for.Captain Guus was great host.Highly recommend this trip.

Loved the size of the boat. Smaller so we were able to go to many smaller canals. Location was easy to find from our hotel using the Viator directions on Google Maps. We were worried about the potential of 40 mph gusts of wind but all was in our favor. We had hail twice on our 15 minute walk to the meeting spot and then the sun came out. Our guide, Captain Aaron, has lived in Amsterdam for over a decade. Originally from California USA. Very knowledgeable on the history of the area. It was a chilly day but Aaron had many nice blankets on the boat. He had a cover that he rolled out of the way (middle section rolled)once we were sure the rain was staying away. The excursion didn’t include food or drink but you are welcome to bring your own and he does have some drinks for sale. Highly recommend Aaron and this excursion.

This was a fantastic "adventure"! Jamie and Catherine were amazing hosts. Because of the small size of the boat we were able to travel on the smaller canals and see Amsterdam from a whole new perspective. Recommend this highly.

It was a great way to explore the Amsterdam canals through the boat’s perspective. My friends and I had fun and enjoyed riding the boat.
