Kailani offered a tour that was well worth the money we paid. The van was comfortable with only 11 passengers on the tour. Our driver (Ridge) was a lifelong resident and talked story about all our stops with great command of the knowledge he imparted. We highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a day long trip to major tourist sites.

Fantastic tour! Views were magnificent. Our tour guide, Neil, was great. Definitely a full day with an 8:00 a.m. pickup and a 7:00ish p.m. return, but well worth the time and money. We had planned on driving ourselves around the island, but after this tour there was no need for us to make the drive. Plenty of time at each stop, we never felt rushed. The coffee plantation, black sand beach (with turtles), Kīlauea overlook, lava tubes (beware the path for ingress and egress is steep), Volcano Winery, Rainbow Waterfall (no rainbow because of rain), and a drive through Hilo all were enjoyable. The stops at the Kīlauea visitors' center, bakery, and candy store were nice breaks, but nothing to really see or do but shop for snacks. Lunch at the Volcano house was so-so, but the view of Kīlauea was phenomenal (not always the case as the clouds can be thick). Neil was very informative; a fountain of information. If you can, have him as your guide.

We had a wonderful day full of history and camaraderie yesterday with Grant Mitchell on this highlights tour. Altho PACKED with multiple stops we never felt rushed. Grant is humorous and knowledgeable. This is a great way to see some great sights without the hassle of driving yourself.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, we took the Big Island Tour with Kona Chris as our tour guide. The tour was packed full of information. We stopped at a winery, a bakery, Black Sand Beach, Volcano National Park, and Rainbow Falls. The tour included lunch and snacks. The 11-hour tour was well worth the time and money. Kona Chris was great.

Our tour guide Derek was absolutely fantastic, and knowledgeable. Very, very kind. The many stops we went to were so nice and also tasty!

The black sands beach was the highlight with seeing the sea turtles. We walked through a lava tube, saw rainbow falls, and stopped in Volcanoes National Park. The views were amazing.

A wonderful tour for first-time Big Island visitors. Stefan was a great guide with tons of information about the history, the culture, the land formations, and the flora, and the fauna. Each stop was interesting from learning how coffee is processed to wine tasting and candy making. Volcano National Park was awesome, and the lunch was delicious and presented beautifully. All in all, it was a well planned trip and very well done.

Loved the variety of sights and experiences! Tour guide Grant was super friendly, knowledgable and fun. He managed to fit in extra attractions in an already packed day.

The tour guide, Grant was amazing. Our two kids had a blast! We saw so many cool things, toured great places and had a nice dinner. The movie on the way back at night was a nice touch! Would highly recommend.

We looked forward to the tour to see the whole island. The views are beautiful and the sights are amazing. It was a very long day and some of the stops were rushed with short time limits , although at the end of the day we finished early. There was room for the guide to improve both time management and the information presented. After asking if there were questions he seemed to not have in depth knowledge to answer them thoroughly. The island is gorgeous and could have had a better presentation.

Tour guide was amazing!! The whole tour was amazing! A must try and I will do it again. The moment from being picked up to being dropped off I was pleased and very happy. Learned a lot as well!

This tour was amazing! There were so many stops and things that were included. We went yo places that we never would have found on our own. Our tour guide, Chance, was a great story teller and had tons of local knowledge.

Our day was perfect. We did it early in our trip so we had a great overview of the island. Grant, our guide was most excellent, interesting and all around fun to be with. Couldn’t have had a better experience unless the volcano erupted!

Booked this tour 8 weeks ahead of time for my family, paid in full. 2 weeks before the trip, I get a call from Kailani Tours saying they have to cancel and there are no other openings the week I will be there. They informed me the tour was very popular but for a reason they would not share, would not be touring on the Thursday I booked. I was left speechless and scrambling to find another tour.

Saw a lot of the Big Island. Our visit to Volcano National Park was the best. The weather was not the best but the Tour Operator made it enjoyable despite the weather.

Ridge was an AMAZING guide. I will never forget this day. His stories, the views, the other people on the trip. I highly reccommend. You’ll learn about the history and tales of Hawaiians as you take in the breathtaking views. The best way to see the Big Island!

We had a wonderful day with our highly knowledgeable, friendly driver and guide Thia. Appreciated her energy (that's a long day and she was "on" the entire time!), her tips about the lilikoi mimosa (we enjoyed one at the cafe at Volcanoes National Park), and attention to passengers. Lots of great stops--hard to single out a highlight. Thia had jackets, umbrellas, hot towels, and plenty of snacks and drinks. Our group of 8 got along extremely well and we enjoyed getting each other's back stories. A terrific and memorable day!

We had an awesome tour. Our guide was fantastic, well informed, and made the tour an adventure with all the facts and stories. I felt like I learned so much about Hawaii and its people on this tour. We took many pictures. I would recommend this tour to all who visit Hawaii.

We took the Big Island Highlights tour yesterday with Debra. This tour was really great. The van was comfy. The snacks and water were appreciated. And we were very thankful that Debra had extra jackets when it started to drizzle. Best of all was Debra's extensive knowledge. She knew so many things along the way and at each destination. We never would have seen all these things and learned all the history and trivia if we hadn't taken this tour. Plus it was sooo nice to let someone else do the driving!

Great trip around West and south side of the island. A very long full of interesting stops. I loved the sea turtles and the volcano.
