Carfax Tower Entry Ticket
Overview
Inclusions
- Carfax Tower Entry
- Entry/Admission - Carfax Tower
What to expect
The tower is all that remains of the 13th century St Martin’s Church, the official city church of Oxford from 1122. In 1896, the main part of the church was demolished to make more room for traffic in the area. The tower is 74 feet tall and no building in central Oxford may be constructed higher than it. As such, it’s possible to climb the 99 steps to the top of the tower for an amazing view over the Oxford skyline. Hop off the Open Top Bus at Stop 7 to visit us!

I've just done the 90 min walking tour with Chris and it was an amazing experience. Chris has an excellent knowledge of Oxford history! Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!Lovely views (despite damp grey day), good to get your bearings. Not a strenuous or difficult climb although staircase with 99 steps is narrow. Great tips & local knowledge from Jules at the desk for places to visit in Oxford- couldn’t see them all today but we will be back- thanks Jules!

Had a lovely sunny crisp day to admire the Oxford skyline and had the place to myself! A few information panels halfway up and a great way to get my bearings in the city.

Saw this attraction and it looked very interesting so decided to check it out.It was lovely, the guy at the counter was very polite. Also the attraction itself was really nice, the stairs were cool and when you were about just under half way to the top there was a couple of facts as well which were interesting to read.Once you got up there the views from the top were absolutely stunning, you could see all the grand buildings,Oxford city centre and major attractions from high up and also what was lovely Is you could see the rolling hills of the chilterns as well. When you get down there you forget how high up you were,I would recommend this attraction to anyone
