It was a great day tour, a funny and knowledgeable tour guide, Alex, a great driver. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely! The countryside was jaw-droppingly beautiful, really beyond words! It was wonderful tasting wines at several wineries - along with crackers, cheeses, and salami. Alex and the guides at the vineyards explained everything about Chianti and olives and more. We had a wonderful lunch also. It was nice that there was only about 16 people. Easier to get to know the other traveler's. We cannot recommend this tour enough!

The countryside of Tuscany was beautiful. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in great detail. You could tell he was passionate about educating others.

Fantastic day exploring Chianti region. Interesting scenery, the lunch was beautiful accompanied by nice wine. The villas, gardens, cellars we loved seeing. We had Gloria as our tour guide, her knowledge of the region, the wine and Italy was impressive, topped off with the delivery. She was interesting to listen to and entertaining. Our driver was Nando, he did a great job driving the beast through those Tuscan roads, felt we were in safe hands. We would definitely recommend this tour Michelle and Paul

All the stops were unique and the lunch was tremendous with spectacular views. Alessandro was a fantastic guide and really allowed us to have the best time possible while providing tons of humor and great information!

Alex was an awesome tour guide and Giuseppe was a fabulous driver! We learned a lot about the region and went to 3 beautiful properties. It was a perfect small sized group. Great work and would recommend if you want a full day in Chianti area with transportation so everyone in your group can enjoy the wine!

The wine tour was such an amazing experience! The food and wine was top notch, and we had a lovely time learning about how to pair them. Our guide Sara was so friendly and helpful, and provided us with a wealth of information about the history of the Chianti Classico region.

If you want to see the Tuscan Hills, Drink the Tuscan wine and taste the Tuscan food then this is the tour you must take. Alessandro our guide is a wine loving , olive oil loving version of Johnny Depp. You will spend some time outside learning about how grapes are grown in the Tuscan Hills region and see behind the scenes of how the area makes its special wine. Unlike some tours the wineries, the wines and the food are outstanding and plentiful, the 4WD Unimog is great and Roberto is an expert driver. Do yourself a favour if your in Florence book this tour.

Having recently taken the Wine Safari, we can recommend this very highly indeed. From even before we boarded 'The Beast', the excellent tour guide Gloria made us all feel very welcome and part of some big adventure. Throughout the day we were introduced to some great wines and olive oils and got to meet the producers - who were always very welcoming and informative. The approach to the whole day was very relaxed and Gloria was just such a chilled-out but very competent and informative host (we especially loved her "blah, blah, blahs" when it felt like information overload). We also had a fantastic surprise when we stopped for our wonderful lunch in that, on a previous Walk About Wine Tour we had taken a few years ago we also had an amazing tour guide, Stefano and he just happened to be there at the same place with another group and Gloria brought him over to us. It was fantastic to meet him again also and for us made an already great day even better. We also wish to mention our driver (Roberto - I think), who steered the beast masterfully throughout the day and was always on hand to help us down the steps of the beast. All in all, this has been one of the highlights of our long awaited return to Firenze. Thank you - Carole and John

Shared her personal story about Tuscany, the history, took us to 3 wineries in the Chianti region. Tasted incredible wines from each along with cheeses, meats & lunch. Great company with other tourists from the US. Highly recommend!!!

Alex was an amazing tour guide and Labbie(not sure that’s correct spelling) was a great driver. We went as a family of 6 and we all agreed it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. The wines were great, lunch was awesome and the information was astounding. You will not regret booking this trip.

The good: excellent food, beautiful views, delicious wine and a really cool vehicle. Now for the not so good: the host was extremely long winded and talked forever while we were forced to stand in the sun with no where to sit down. It took close to 3 hours for us to get our first sip of wine. Now if you want to know every last detail about the wine making process, this is the tour for you. I felt like there would be a final exam at the end of this very long day. All in all, it was a wonderful day but we were hoping for a relaxing day and this felt more like a college exam. I think the host is just passionate about wine and wanted to share the knowledge but providing chairs, shade and water during the lecture would have been appreciated. I think this could have been a 4-5 hour tour verses a 9 hour one.

This tour was awesome - Sara and Nando are really the best! Such a great team. The meeting point for the tour was very easy to find and Sara was friendly from the second we saw her. Nando was an amazing driver and Sara was a wealth of knowledge paired with a ton of humour. The villas and wineries that are on the tour are excellent. All of the wines were fantastic and the food as well. Definitely worth the money and such a great experience.

One of our favorite days of our 10 day trip!!! Sara was our tour guide and Emiliano was our driver. Sara was full of knowledge and excitement about wine and the wine making process. Not only did we get to see the process, she also talked us through what happens at each step and answered any questions we had. It wasn’t just fun and enjoyable, it was a learning experience which was quite the plus! The first wine tasting was at the winery where we saw the whole process and the tasting included accompaniments of meat, bread, and olive oil. The second was nestled in a beautiful location with sweeping views of vineyards. We had a wine tasting and an incredible lunch here. The last place we went to was a private villa that only allows for visits with select tours. What a treat! The views were beautiful, the garden of the villa was breathtaking, and the inside of the villa was art. The wine was delicious here and paired with cheeses. We had the best time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Florence.

We had a great time on the wine tour! The bus we rode in was so cool, and we enjoyed our visit to the 3 different vineyards. We especially loved the Tuscan lunch - we enjoyed amazing views and the food was incredible. We also enjoyed getting to know our lovely guide, Sara. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our day together.

We had the most AMAZING time on our Chianti Safari with Angela! I have been an avid Brunello fan for many years so it was nice to experience and learn about this wonderful, softer wine from a true expert! We enjoyed 3 beautiful wineries in different parts of the region and learned a lot about the process, and the dedication of these craftsmen. The location chosen for lunch was also at a winery and was absolutely outstanding! We were able to experience the gorgeous, rolling country side, outdoors, while we tasted the exquisite tasting menu prepared for us and all paired with their beautiful wines. I am ready to be a Tuscan! We cannot wait to go back! We aer very very adventurous people, so the rolling mountain roads did not bother us one bit. If you are a person who cannot tolerate a winding car ride, this trip isn't for you. I'd recommend taking some Dramamine and bucking up because it's worth every minute!
