After meeting your guide at the intersection of 1 Ship & Dyer St. in Providence at 12pm, you'll begin a walking tour on this one-of-a-kind food tasting tour. This fully-narrated guided tour will visits at least six food tasting locations in the Downcity Arts District neighborhood. Delicious food tastings are served from both casual eateries serving up approachable, local farm-to-table comfort food to award winning fine dining plating fresh creative dishes.
Between bites and samplings, you’ll get an insider’s view of the Providence’s enticing, modern culinary landscape, where food, art and architecture collide in a very walkable, scenic, diverse small city. Your expert guide with share their knowledge of epicurean favorites, hidden murals and art, architectural gems, hidden speakeasies and local festivals and entertainment to be found in the creative capital.

- A moderate amount of walking is involved, 1 slight incline, approx. 1.8mi (2.89km)

- Children 6 and up must be accompanied by an adult, under 6 years old is not recommended

My son is a foodie. We really enjoyed trying all the various types of food.. restaurants we normally would not go to. His favorite was the clam chowder with clam cake and mine was the vegan pizza with a strong second the pretzels baked to order!

Despite horrible weather, she kept us entertained. She shared interesting history of the city and details about each restaurant. The food was excellent as well.

Today we began our day with a food tour in Downtown Providence through Rhode Island Red Food Tours with our guide, Jenny. Jenny definitely delivered on her goal of: E-eat, L-learn and F-have fun. It was an informative, engaging and delicious experience. I highly recommend it to both visitors and residents of Rhode Island! We visited six venues: each unique unto themselves giving us a sample of their eclectic cusines. From chowder and clam cakes, Greek specialities, decadent chocolate treats, pretzels and beer, BBQ and beignets-all spectacular! What made the experience even more enjoyable was the individuals we met on the tour. Thank you for your amazing company and hospitality. I'm a picky eater, but I tried everything and I encourage you to do the same. i don't want to ruin any surprises, but I will say it was a nice balance of sweet and savory and you will leave full. There is also an option to upgrade to get drinks too and that included a good balance of beer, wine, and cocktails. I definitely recommend this tour.
