Our tour guide was the BEST! She gave interesting facts as she took us through Providence and introduced each restaurant with good information. Each restaurant on the tour was excellent and we didn't waste time going back to Ellie's the next day.

Jack did an awesome job telling us about the eateries and some of Providence’s history. The food and drink on the tour were well worth the cost with my favorite being the Rhode Island Clam Chowder. Delicious. When we come back to the area we will definitely sign up for another tour.

We woke up on the morning of the food tour to a gloomy, rainy, chilly day. But that didn't take away from this fantastic food tour! Our tour guide, Elise, was personable and knowledgeable. And everything we tried was great. The Vietnamese street food and bubble tea at Charuma, the clam cake at Dune Bros and the truffle mushroom kale pizza at Plant City were our favorites, but it was hard to find fault with anything we ate. We went to a noodle restaurant (can't remember the name - it was new to the tour and replaced Geoff's Sandwiches), and the ramen was delicious. We have been on many food tours, and we find them to be a great way to learn about the neighborhood and try a variety of the best foods they have to offer. This tour did not disappoint. Do not eat breakfast. You will want to be hungry.

This was my husband's and I first food tour and first visit to Rhode Island. The tour guide Jack was funny, super sweet and very knowledgeable (we left feeling like we've known him for years) The group was small and friendly. We added the drinks to our tour which was nice. We did a chowder stop, boba tea with chicken and fries, a noodle place, Double zero a plant base pizza and my husband and I did not miss the meat at all and the nut base "cheese" was delicious (our favorite stop) we also stopped at a bakery it was delicious not too sweet and a pub that served an awesome pretzel with flights of beer yummy! We loved the food tour and we are looking forward to booking with them again in Newport. We highly recommend the Downcity walking food tour!

Jack was an awesome tour guide. The clam chowder and pizza were delicious and we learned so much. Jack knew so much about Providence history that added a special touch and we learned all about the city. Loved it and would do it again!

This food tour is most definitely a worthwhile experience to see Providence's culinary and cultural aspect. Our tour guide Elise is very knowledgeable of the area and the historical influences behind certain nonprofit organizations and the restaurants that we visited. The venues are diverse, ranging from vegan Italian to Asian foods to Parisian cafe to local crafted beer & pretzel. I highly recommend it even if it's raining!

We loved seeing another side of the city's history and experiencing 6 very different tastings! The fact that this tour also supports local businesses is definitely a plus. Our guide, Elise, was so personable and accommodating. We are all so happy we did this tour. Thank you!

We had a really great time on our food tour with Rhode Island Red Food Tours! Our guide, Elise, was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping the group moving along. Not only is there a lot to see and learn on this tour - most importantly, there is a lot to eat! After roughly three hours of sampling Providence's delicacies, we were full (but not too full!) and very satisfied. I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody!

We had a fun time and Jack, our tour guide was excellent. He informed us thoroughly about the meals and each establishment we were taken . Jack also pointed out lots of historical facts about sites along the way between the dining places we visited.

Simply the food choices and history of the town. All sorts of hidden gems I would of never found if it wasn’t for the tour guide. She was bubbly, fun and knowledgeable of the town for sure.

Great tour by Eliza. Informative and good selection of food. Best was Dune Brothers, least favorite was Plant City. Don’t miss this one!

We had a blast at our Downcity Food Tour last weekend. Our guide, Elise, made the adventure tons of fun, navigating pouring rain and wind without missing a beat of engagement. The restaurants were delish and portions were wonderful! Only suggestion we have is that a cocktail would have been a fun addition...although the wine and beer were nice pairings. Thanks for a great time!

It was a fun and engaging tour with a lot of good food - I was full by our last stop, and I even took some food home! I live in Providence, so I already knew half of the restaurants, but our guide, Jack, was very knowledgeable and funny. I am no longer an energetic walker, but the pace was easy enough for me to keep up, and the group was very congenial, and the food was all very good. They offer an alcohol / no-alcohol version, which is considerate; I had the alcohol version, which included a small glass of wine at stop #2, a coffee with Galliano at stop #5; and a flight of small cups of beer at stop #6 - just enough to be pleasant. I enjoyed it very much.
