I have used Cal Coast in the past and always have had a great experience. They have been great when we have been kayaking around the harbor. This time, they assisted me with an e-bike that had some maintenance issues. As always the staff was friendly, the bike mechanics Rob and Scott were top notch. The bike rides good as new now. Highly recommend this place to all!

My husband and I were first time visitors to Santa Barbara and wanted to get an introduction to the city. We got that and so much more! Colin was a fantastic guide. He is a Santa Barbara native and was able to show us unique spots and gave a local’s perspective. He loves his town and knows his history. You won’t regret using Cal Coast Adventures!

My husband and I had Santa Barbara as a port stop from 8-2 on our recent cruise. We had a 30 minute walk from the pier to the bike rental location…very easy to find using the gps our phone…beautiful views along our walk. Once there we were fitted with bikes and helmets and took a test run using them. We were then on our way with our guide Dale. Dale was wonderful, as was the tour. We rode all around beautiful Santa Barbara stopping at various points of interest. Dale was a wonderful source of information and we learned a lot. So much fun riding with electric assist!!! I have not ridden a bike in 25 years. We enjoyed this so much that we will now seek out private bike tours where ever we go. Such an awesome way to explore. Not only seeing sights but smelling amazing foods as well. Don’t hesitate to book this!! It is awesome!!

We are older and were not sure we could do the ride, the guys at the store were very helpful and friendly. They make us feel so comfortable and reassuring. We had a great ride, and the bikes were awesome. We chose the ones with battery assist. Thank you for taking care of us.

Connor was exceptional, taking the time to match our needs, bike path routes, and recommendation to make it a great e-bike experience. Easy access to beach paths from the shop and parking on site. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Collin, was well informed and gave us a great tour. He made it interesting and fun and tailored the tour to the needs of the group. The bikes we were given were pedal assist which were fantastic. We all had plenty of power from the pedal assist and really enjoyed the ride. Not too long, not too short for the 3 of us in our 60’s. Thank you, Collin, for a great afternoon!

Mike was our guide, and we had an absolute blast!! I couldn’t recommend the company and specifically Mike more! We did a private experience. If you really want to cover lots of ground in Santa Barbara and see areas of particular interest, you’ve found the spot. It was truly the most memorable and wonderful experience! We’d all do it again in a heartbeat!!

My wife and I found the e-biking tour fabulous! Why so? A part of our belief was the beauty of Santa Barbara. The Spanish architecture, the ocean views and the downtown area all contributed to the beauty of our outing. However, what made the outing extra special was due to our guide, Taryn. She was awesome! Her energy level, knowledge of the history of the area and her communication skills were all excellent. My wife and I both said to each other that her delightful smile was so engaging! Even though I am a senior citizen, I cycle daily (including my commute to work). This was my first ride on an e-bike. My wife used the assist throughout while I wanted to get in a workout and used the assist only up one incline. The outing was worth the cost. Upon concluding the trip, my wife commented to me that we should be generous in our tip to Taryn. I concurred and decided to double what I initially thought I would tip a good tour guide. Since Taryn exceeded a “good rating”, I had no problem with a generous tip. I’m guessing that the other guides are all good, but if you wish for a sure thing, ask in advance for Taryn!

What a fun day! We rented the bikes ahead of time and they were ready when we got there. We spent the day cruising around Santa Barbara and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The people who work at Cal Coastal Adventures were engaging and super friendly. If I had to do it again, I would come right back to Cal Coastal Adventures. Next time I might rent a surf board too!
