Our guide knew the answer to every question we asked. He was very informed, and was not hesitant to provide us maximum guidance. You will have a comprehensive understanding of Indian history through the perspective of three religions: Buhdism, Hinduism and Jainism. On our way to Ellora in the car, our guide introduced how religion played an important role in the formation of Indian culture. Then at the caves, our guide intricately explained the myths and history behind the caves. Ellora caves themselves were a true fascination a masterpiece of mankind. Cave No.18, the Kailasanatha Temple is a Hindu temple, and is the largest cave amongst the 100+. This marvelous architectural complex is carved out of one rock, and is the largest monolithic excavation in the world. This tour is definitely worth it. I appreciated how our guide was very relaxed with our schedule since I wanted to take some time shooting photos. The tour company was also very cooperative and flexible. On our way back we stopped shortly at Bibi Ka Maqbara(with only a small additional cost), and they also helped us find a nice restaurant. These were about a two hour drive from my Auranganbad city hotel. These were about a two hour drive from my Auranganbad city hotel. My guide and i arrived at 9.30 and luckily there were few tourists or hawkers around. We started at the right hand side of the caves beginning side the Buddhist temples. There are a few steps to overcome but nothing too difficult. The interior stonework sculptures within some of the caves is superb. As you progress along the left, the artwork belongs to Hinduism and finally you reach the magnificent Kailasha Temple. It is awe inspiring. I didn't see anyone taking photos from the rocky landscape above, so I assume its not permitted. If you wish to see the five Jain temples, there's a return bus at the entrance. You need to buy a ticket before you go. Its only a short ride. Within theJain temples there are also beautiful stone carvings especially in cave 5.From the very first moment it was obvious to me that the day is going to be memorable for the years to come in my life. From the very first moment it was obvious to me that the day is going to be memorable for the years to come in my life. The tour with Mr. Amod Basole was a real experience; experience of something entirely new and at that time unknown. The knowledge shared by the tour guide accumulated with the knowledge already obtained in the past and it translated into not only in a physical, but a spiritual journey as well. Highly recommended for everyone who has a rooted interest in exploring beyond what the eyes can see and the ears can hear. Namaste!Guide was excellent. We were taken to the caves with detailed and passionate descriptions and explanations. Also surprised about the Fort and the "2nd Taj Mahal"

The day was made really easy with a private car pick up from the hotel, snacks and water provided. The guide was then waiting for me as the driver pulled up into the car park. The guide spoke really good English, he was really informative at each cave we visited he had so much information he answered every question I asked and was so passionate when telling the story's of the carvings. I was then driven to Daulatabad Fort which I didn't request the guide for but wish I would of as it was so big and so much history there that I didn't know about. On the way home we was then met by Hrushi who wanted to ensure I had enjoyed the day and then dropped back at my hotel. I would highly recommend this tour and would strongly advise you go with a guide so that your not just taking photo's you understand the different meanings of each cave from the different religions.
