Emiko met me as planned. I was the only one on the tour so became a private tour. Emiko was engaging, full of knowledge and happy to adapt to my interests. We covered about 5 miles as we strolled around the Yanaka district visiting Temples and Shrines with a stop at the beer hall. The district is one of the oldest surviving so quite a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city districts I would highly recommend Omakase as a tour guide company!

Emiko was one of the best tour guides I’ve had. She was very knowledgeable and for the questions she was not sure about she followed up with an email after! Way above and beyond. Not only did she show use the historic area and shrine of Tokyo but gave recommendations for after. Highly recommend if able to do the walking.

Really great tour especially if you are looking to learn about the history of Yanaka and Japan! Our tour guide Hana was awesome; she was patient and very knowledgeable! Some cool highlights were running into one of the Japanese famous artists, Alan West in his studio and getting to see his paintings and even chatting with him! We also got to see all of the beautiful Azaleas during the Azalea festival in Nezujinga!! A lot of the knowledge I learned on this tour, helped me appreciate the rest of my trip more as I was able to understand the Shrines and Temples I was visiting better! Overall really great tour and I would recommend it and Hana as your guide! I left a more detailed review on trip advisor.

The Walking tour of Yanaka was awesome! Hana was our tour guide and she really explained a lot of the history and religion of Japan to my friend and I. I really liked that it was an intimate tour with just us three as it made it very impactful! We loved learning about all the temples and Shrines and also how to pray at a Shrine. We even had the chance to meet Alan West, a famous painter and look at his work (how lucky!). And we then got to go to the Azalea festival at the Nezujinga; it was beautiful!! And as we made our way through the market, we tasted some apply pie Hana recommended and it was truly delicious like she said! I will definitely recommend this tour and Hana!!

We had such a wonderful time. Emiko was kind, thoughtful, and a lovely tour leader. She gave us such a nice insight into the Yanaka area and all it has to offer. She also took great photos of our group and shared them with us afterward! We had small stops along the way to try different foods, drinks, and some shopping, so that helped break up the walking a bit. It is a lot of time on your feet so wear comfortable shoes!

Our tour guide Eriko was amazing. She was very polite and cordial. She showed us around the beautiful Yanaka area. We really enjoyed the tour of the old temples that she took us to. She offered to take our pictures for us. While walking around town she showed us various bakeries. We stopped by one of them and had a hot treat there. Thanks to Eriko for making the tour really nice.

We had a wonderful time in Nippori with our excellent guide Rie. We learned a lot about Shinto traditions and temples, got to taste some delicious pastries and other foods, and Rie even stayed with us for an extra hour so that we could take our time and enjoy all the sights. This has been a highlight for our trip to Tokyo - highly recommended!

Thank you so much for a delightful tour. The historical perspective, the shrines, and the grave sites, and the "liquor store" were especially interesting. What a treat to have the respite, the tea, the special bowls, and the painting. You created a lovely memory.

This tour was fascinating. It went from the burial mound of the last shogun to temples, old shops and quiet neighbourhoods.

We had an absolutely lovely time with Mutsuko! She took us to the most beautiful cemetery that I've ever seen! We were there when the cherry blossoms were in bloom, and it was breathtaking! It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon looking at beautiful places, learning some history and getting our steps in! She was able to explain aspects of Japanese culture, and what the different things were in the shops that we passed. I picked up quite a few traditional snacks to eat that evening!

We had horrible weather on the day of this tour.Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed the day. The guide was friendly and helped us appreciate the culture and history of the place. The 150 yrs coffee shop where we stopped was a lovely place to stop on this very wet day.

We had a lovely time walking around with Mutsuko. The cherry blossoms were blooming, which made the cemetery that we went to the most beautiful cemetery that I've ever seen. We saw many beautiful shrines and temples. We were able to ask questions about different Japanese customs and foods. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon sightseeing, and learning, and getting our steps in!

Very interesting to discover old Tokyo with its temples and cemeteries just beside the modern buildings. In addition to being very knowledgeable, our guide Emika had a knack for communication, and truly brought Yanaka and its temples alive for us. Highly recommended.

We had a great tour together with a very knowledgeable guide (Emiko). If you like to know about the history of Tokyo, see some private gardens, I warmly recommend taking this tour.

Rie guide, took us to cemeteries, shrines, temples, quaint streets, and little shops with local delicacies. She shared her knowledge of history and local customs to make this an entertaining experience worth every step we took. We suggest that the organizers give a more detailed description of the meeting location. For the uninitiated there was some guessing involved.

Very good walk in old Tokyo with our nice guide Emiko. Emiko is very knowledgeable and provided lots of information on the culture, history and general Japanese information. We walked a lot for 3.5 hours so make sure you bring good walking shoes. The old part of Tokyo is interesting and has lots of history, shrines temples and land marks.

Our guide Rie was very accommodating and knowledgeable. She explained everything so that we could understand and pointed out all the cool spots. The tour itself was a very nice pace and showed a different and more cultural side of Tokyo.
