Yesterday Tom and I went to the Banana Museum in Gran Caneria. What a pleasant visit. We had a very enthusiastic guide, JC, who explained all about the banana plant, not tree. At the end of the tour, there was a lovely table with samples of their products. A very enjoyed stop.

Extremely fun and Informative guided tour, Steve was a great guide and was extremely knowledgeable. I wasn't expecting a lot going in but it turns out bananas are quite interesting! Getting there without a car is quite a challenge though, so be prepared. My girlfriend advises against wearing sandles. The store has a lot of cool and fun products such as jams, magnets, alcohol etc. And they are reasonably priced.

The visit was amazing ! We discovered different varieties of bananas and the view was amazing! We ate some local products made with bananas and fresh bananas it was very good

The plantation grounds are breathtaking, lush with greenery and so picturesque that the place is also a location for wedding celebrations. It’s the perfect spot for that serene Instagram moment, as we were welcome to wander at leisure in the plantation. And the facilities are very fancy. The guided tour was equally impressive. We learned so much in a so little time. Our guide, Maria, has a good sense of humour and made the tour as entertaining as informative. The tasting session was the cherry on top—well, the banana on top, in this case! From the sweet, fresh bananas to the rich banana jams, delightful banana liquor, and unique banana wines, every taste was a delightful surprise that completed our wonderful visit. It’s also easy to find, only 15 minutes drive from Las Palmas and with a large convenient parking. For anyone looking for a beautiful and interesting excursion near Las Palmas, I can’t recommend this banana plantation enough. It’s a total package—beauty, education, and delicious treats!

I loved the experience. First of all our guide Maria is amazing! Very friendly and enthusiastic, she transmitted her knowledge during the walk in the plantation by explaining and showing the different stages of the bananas growth and by showing us different varieties of bananas. The grand finale: the delicious tasting of bananas and bananas by-products such as bananas jams, wine and liquor! So tasty! A must do in Gran Canaria!

The tour was really interesting and really entertaining with our tour guide JC. He made the trip really fun and engaging. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the plants and trying the food on offer.

The tour was led by JC who was brilliantly funny and engaging! I learned so much! I really recommend the tour alongside the view of the area. Be aware of the car park entrance being one way but generally easy to get around.
