A helicopter ride has been on our bucket list for years, but we can never top this one. The views were amazing. Joe, our pilot was great! Everyone in the office were fun and outgoing. The pictures we took can’t do it justice, but our memories will always be there. Don’t miss this!

Amazing! Views were magical and our pilot Kate was so knowledgeable & shared fun info! I had a lot of fear about doing this, but they made me feel very comfortable!

This is an expensive excursion BUT so worth it! You cannot imagine the views you have flying over the peaks and flying down into the canyon. The view of the Napoli Coast will take your breath away! We saw the coast by catamaran two days earlier and to see it again for another vantage point was incredible. A never to forget experience.

Amazing team from pre-flight briefing to getting us back safe. Pilots are informed and experienced. Got to explore Halelea Forest reserve for a while, which not many people have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Yes we had a precautionary emergency landing but the pilot was amazing, had us down on the ground before we were aware there was an issue. Got picked up by a second helicopter after exploring beautiful Kauai in a way not many people will ever have a chance to do.

We had an amazing time! The views are incredible from the air and well worth the money. Wayne did a great job as our pilot. Highly recommend doors-off helicopter experience!

Amazing. Highly recommend. I was a little worried that 50 minutes was not going to be enough time to get the full experience but it was plenty of time. Would do again.

The staff was friendly and clearly enjoy their jobs. They made our experience that much better than it already was. The pilot was awesome and did a great job of making sure everybody could see everything. He was knowledgeable about the island and very friendly. The flight was very smooth and exciting. The views were nothing short of spectacular.

Amazing weather & sights to see! Waterfalls and canyons and mountains, Oh! My! Great ground crew & amusing safety officer. Michael was a fine pilot who shared the history of the island as we viewed myriad waterfalls & ranches. Awesome experience- well worth the price!

Great way to experience the Na Pali coast and Waimea Canyon. The guided tour also had great information on the history of the island. I will definitely be back and do it again.

We travel all over the world and this excursion was one of the best we’ve ever taken. Hats off to the beauty of the Garden Isle and to our outstanding helicopter pilot Joe!

If you visit Kauai and don’t do this, you’re not seeing Kauai at its FULL potential. My wife gets motion sickness very easy and was fine during the flight, so don’t let that deter you. Doors off is the way to go cause you can appreciate much more views than with doors on.

Amazing! You get to see sites of the island you had no idea were there! The views are breathtaking. Our pilot was knowledgeable and fun.

My wife and I really didn’t know what to expect. Knowing that the pilot were expertly trained and are the go to for firefighting and rescue, was a huge peace of mind! Max done an excellent job and if you’re reading this post and wondering, DO IT! One of the greatest experiences of my life! Beautiful! The boat ride is nice and enjoyable, but this helicopter ride had me giggling and was AWESOME! Thanks Airborne Aviation for such a great time!!

I have been on a few helicopter tours over the years, but this was first one with no doors. I will start by saying, I will never fly in one WITH doors again! It was absolutely amazing! Our pilot (Steven Kries) gave us an exceptional tour, and is a highly skilled pilot. And the Playlist of music was AWESOME, and really enhanced the experience. It was my Fiancee's first flight in a helicopter, and she was blown away by the experience. We upgraded to be in the front seat and it was well worth the money! Thanks for the awesome tour! Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

We paid to upgrade to the front seats. Sitting in the middle seat, I couldn't move due to lack of space. There was a "bar" in the middle of the windshield blocking much of my view, and not being able to move meant I couldn't see much at all and could take no pictures. I could see only straight ahead of me, and that meant looking at the bar and the control panel for the entire time.My husband on the outside had better views and could take some pictures. I wonder if the back seat would have been better!

The obvious comments include how beautiful the ride was. What was incredible, was the staff. The last time I was in a helicopter, I was 14. Some apprehension of course, but I never felt unsafe. The ground crew soup to nuts safety. Pilot Kate talented and doubling as a fantastic tour guide. Kudos to Freddy, Jamie, Shay (sp.?), Primo and Jonah. Thanks for a wonderful and incredibly safe journey.

Unbelievable views of one of the most beautiful islands you will ever see!! Steve took us through the valleys and canyons and up sheer cliffs and ocean views!!! Best excursion I’ve ever taken!!! The entire staff was fun and friendly!!!

This helicopter excursion is AMAZING! My husband and I sat in the back seats by the open doors. Views were fabulous and we got much closer to the mountains and waterfalls than our friends who opted for the fixed-wing plane experience. Kyle was our pilot and did a great job flying and telling us about the area. It was hard to hear sometimes though, due to the wind. Also, anyone with long hair, be sure to pull it back tight because the wind really whips around inside, but so worth it. Pants and a light jacket were helpful too since it's cooler up in the air. Such an amazing way to see Kauai and start off our trip!

Amazing experience. I have a general fear of flying in commercial airplanes so thought that I'd be far more scared in the helicopter. The support staff on the ground were kind and informative, and our pilot was really thorough and made us feel incredibly safe. The views were outstanding! It was a little cold, so definitely suggest you wear layers (they also remind you of this the day before). Bring your best camera - you'll want to capture the stunning views to cherish!

Highly recommend Airborne Aviation in Kauai. We took the Hughes 500 4-passenger Doors-Off Helicopter Tour. The staff was professional and very aware of the safety of each customer. First class. Our helicopter pilot Kate Pederson was a joy. She was engaging, informative, professional, considerate and accommodating. She created an amazing playlist of music for our trip, walked us specifically through each point of interest, did perfect 360 degree turns so that everyone could see the beautiful scenery. Note: My husband and I are retired. We were considerably older than most of the clientele today. But we are adventurous and able bodied. It did not matter. We were treated equal to everyone on our flight.
