Filio was a great tour guide. He had over 20 years of experience working as a tour guide and it showed. You can tell he is passionate about his work and got our group safely through the Inca trail. The chef, Vidal provided delicious meals and was definitely another highlight of the trip.

I did the short Inca tour to Machu Picchu and it was incredible! The views were beautiful and our guide Jose was very knowledgeable. He provided us with lots of facts, history, and stories. He pointed out various flora and fauna along the trail. He had a great sense of humour and his cheerful personality made this experience so much better. I definitely recommend this tour with Jose!

Absolutely fantastic. Very informative and you got the full experience with a one day hike and a second day touring Machu Picchu. Gary and William were both excellent tour guides. Taking time to talk through different areas on the hike and answering every question no matter how benign or obscure it may have been. They both took great care of the team no matter where they were on the hike. 10/10 experience. Couldn't reccomend more highly.

My husband and I travelled to Peru for our honeymoon and decided to book this 2-day trip to Machu Picchu because it seemed like it had a good amount of hiking without having to camp out and stay in a tent. We met with our tour guide, Roberto, the day before our tour and he went through all of the information we needed to know for the following two days including what to expect, what to pack, etc. On the morning of our trip, Roberto and the driver arrived perfectly on time to pick us up. We arrived to the beginning of the short Inka trail where Roberto again explained a bit about the history and answered any questions we had. The hike was challenging but Roberto was extremely patient and allowed us to take as many breaks as needed. We also stopped at several magnificent view points where he explained different elements of the architecture, nature and history and allowed ample time for us to take photographs. He also always offered to take photos of my husband and me as well as photos of the other couple who was in our group which we very much appreciated! Our only critique was that the hotel that we were placed in overnight was right by the train tracks and was therefore very noisy at nighttime making it hard to rest up after a very long day. Overall we had an amazing experience and loved having Roberto as our guide. His knowledge is impressive and he is also very popular as other guides were constantly saying hi to him as we passed them along the trail!

It was an amazing experience!! Pepe made this 2 days Inca trail an unforgettable experience. He told us about the history of the Incas as well as about the flora and fauna of this beautiful place. If you are thinking of doing this trail, don’t think twice and ask for Pepe as your tour guide :)

Absolutely unforgettable experience! The 2-day Inca trail is probably the best option if you want an authentic and rewarding experience to see Machu Picchu. And arriving early afternoon really improves your chances of seeing the site with no clouds. Our guide Pepe made the experience 10 times better for us. He helped us understand the intricacies of the Inca empire, explained the fauna and the flora. He would spot all the little details that you would otherwise miss. Great story teller, great English level, I would recommend 100%.

We had a very beautiful trip with Gary and William. They have been great tour guides and it was a lot of fun. We have reached the sun gate at 2 pm and had enough time for pictures everywhere. We definitely would do it again!

An incredible hike that is worth the hype. The views, the history, and the overall sense of wonder are incredible. The TreXperience staff were super helpful, from booking through the end of the tour. The trip was very organised and informative. Gary and Wilian were very supportive and made the experiences special by teaching history of Inca, sharing some funny jokes, also making sure our safety in the hiking. Klever and Ernesto were in charge of our group. Both locals were very knowledgeable about the tour and answered any questions my group and I had. The food during the hike was very good and was the necessary fuel to continue on the Inca trail. Would book another tour with this company and will recommend them to all my friends and family. I do recommend staying in Cusco at least 2 days before going to Macchu Pichu to get used to the elevation and to help with altitude sickness. I also recommend to book your tour well in advanced because the tours sell out fast.

Filio my tour guide was fantastic. The fact that as a certified guide he attended university for 5 years to study, history, psychology and to speak multiple languages blows my mind. Peru does not have a bunch a fake guides taking advantage of tourist. I hiked the Inca trail, Machu Picchu tour as well other Inca sites. My guides’ knowledge of the history of Peru was one of the best experiences in my life. I would recommend this company to anyone who values learning the history of a place. I will come back to Peru again and will definitely use this company. One of the best experiences of my life hands down. It was a blessing and spiritual journey.

We had an incredible experience hiking to and exploring Machu Picchu as a family group of 6. We were fortunate enough to have William Elvis as our knowledgeable, kind and attentive guide. William grew up near Machu Picchu and knows the culture, history, plants and animals of the region. He is great at communicating and making the tour very interesting and enjoyable. William is also very organized and great at planning for the best conditions for making things run smoothly, getting great pictures and avoiding the crowds. We arrived at the best photo spots before the crowds the first day and toured Machu Picchu in a calm and unhurried way the second day. I can’t imagine a better guide than William Elvis. He took excellent care of our family in every way! Many thanks to William and the whole TreXperience team for a wonderful experience at amazing Machu Picchu!

Juan Jose and William were absolutely incredible! Communication with TrexExperience was very easy and fast. The team was responsive and helped with any of my needs. What really made the tour was our guides. I asked Juan Jose questions for nearly 4 hours about Incans and Peru. He was able to answer everything in such great detail, telling incredibly detailed stories. He took time along the trail for photos of the flowers and wildlife. William was also eager to help and always ready to take photos to record our incredible journey. If you have limited time, make sure you do the two day short Inca Trail. Doing the hike, made the view of Machu Picchu all the more satisfying. If you just take the train and bus to Machu Picchu, you miss many ruins, along the way. Furthermore, doing the two day hike, allows you to come into town at the end of day. You get a good rest for the next day, as well as a hot shower and great room. We went out to a very nice restaurant, which was included in the tour, and then a couple of us went to a bar afterwards. All the tickets were printed and ready for you so you could enjoy your experience. This would not have been the same if you go alone because of all the coordination that goes into getting to and from Machu Picchu. Juan Jose and William were very flexible with our group and accommodated to anyone’s needs if they want to stay a little bit longer or go earlier. We walked the trail at a good pace and took breaks along the way. I even go to swim in a fresh waterfall. If you’re considering Machu Picchu, make sure you go with this group. If you want the best, make sure to ask for Juan Jose and William.

This was my first ever hike and I couldn’t have done it with a better guide! Very patient and supportive. JJ and William were amazing guides and had a wealth of knowledge about the trek itself and also Machu Picchu once we arrived! I couldn’t have asked for a better guide, a great company to book this trail with. I would definitely recommend!

The trip was excellent. The weather was perfect and our guides Juan Jose and Willian were outstanding. The hike was beautiful and the nature was breathtaking.
