We had our trip with Pablo and, start to finish, it was excellent! My partner and I brought my dad and I’m so glad we booked with this guide. We learned about some of the history of the area and local culture. The kayaking was excellent. Snorkeling was great. Saw a lot of fish, eels, and sea stars. Pablo helped us identify a lot of the species we saw and was great showing us some that we otherwise would have missed. Lunch was delicious and right on the water front. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an active, sunny excursion. 🤗☀️

Luis is very efficient and communicated with me as soon as I booked. He sent me a text to confirm and to ask if I had any questions. We were picked up right at our hotel lobby. They called to let me know they were almost at the hotel, so we could meet them. I appreciated that. From ixtapa. It was about a 20 min ride. We got to the dock and met Pablo. My sister had never kayaked before so he eased her anxiety and put us in a two-person kayak. He checked on us constantly and made sure we were always in the group. Kayaking was fun! It took us about 40 minutes to get to Las Gatas. On the way, Pablo gave us information about the region. I don’t know about the rest of the group, but I wasn’t really tired when we got to Las Gatas. Once there, we got ready to snorkel. We followed Pablo at all times. We saw lots of fish, sea stars, a very shy octopus and even an eel. Some in the group dove down to see Jesus. 😀 We had lunch after snorkeling. The lunch was yummy. Some had shrimp, others had fish. But there were many other options to choose from. We each got one drink (included). Note*** if you want more than one drink, you’ll need to pay for it. A piña colada is about $7. So not bad! Restrooms were readily available and clean. We had about half an hour after lunch to look around, shop or just go in the water. My sister and I sat at the restaurant to relax for a bit longer. Pablo came over and we had a great chat about where we were from, and he proceeded to tell us some more about the area and its history. We got back to La Ropa where our ride awaited. We dropped off our new friends first and headed to Ixtapa. It was a great day!!! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour. And if you get Pablo, say hello from the two Puertorican teacher sisters! 👋🏽😊

Luis gave our group (my husband, sister and brother in law - active 60s) an extraordinary experience. He thoughtfully curated all aspects of the tour which involved pick up at a nearby hotel, transport to a beach where we got into our kayaks and paddled to a beach (maybe two miles at a comfortable pace) adjacent to our snorkeling destination. We have snorkeled at many places around the world. This tour is unique in that Luis stayed with and due to his familiarity with the area and his keen observation, found a juvenile octopus, 20 plus species of fish, sea urchins, and star fish. After a delicious lunch (catch of the day was mahi mahi that was grilled with a garlic marinade) we paddled back to a beach near our accommodations. Within a few hours of our return, Luis had uploaded excellent ( and generally flattering) photos and videos of us taken throughout our time together. Luis is knowledgeable about Zihua and well-informed about a diverse range of topics from history, archaeology, economic development, and school policy to marine biology. He was solicitous, effective and just fun! We could not recommend this experience more highly. Don’t wait - just book this tour. Especially if you are new to Zihua, it is a wonderful introduction to the geography, restaurants, and topics interest of each member of the group.

This was our third tour with Luis' company. We already reviewed the food tasting and archaeology tours. This tour was just as good as the first two and we would highly recommend it. Our guide was Pablo who was also our guide on the archeology tour to the ruins. We met near the fisherman's wharf and kayaked along the beaches to Las Gatas. Pablo was very familiar with the area and told us about the history of the beaches and the area in general. When we got to Las Gatas, we were greated by a group of people at the restaurant where we would have lunch. They took our kayaks and stowed them while we snorkeled and ate lunch. The snorkeling was not the best we have ever experienced (that was in Roatan and hard to beat), but not the worst. We saw lots of smaller blue angel fish, gobis, needlefish, etc. It was fun to be on and in the water after hanging out by the pools in zihuatanejo. Once again, we were on a small tour. There was only one other couple on our trip and they were very interesting. We had a lot in common so we had a good conversation throughout the trip.We kayaked back to La Ropa where Luis was supposed to meet us for a drive back to Hotel Irma. He was not there when we arrived so Pablo arranged a taxi at the companies expense to take us back to our hotel without delay. The whole trip was a lot of fun and we would highly recommend it.

Well organized and fantastic trip. The kayaking in the Zihuatanejo Bay was beautiful and the snorkeling experience was one of the best I ever had. There is an enormous diversity of fish and because it’s rather shallow they are all close by. Gear, guidance , lunch transport etc was all perfectly arranged

Our family spent Christmas Day on this tour. Luis’s team did a great job with our pick up location and getting us to the starting point. Our guide Pablo took excellent care of us throughout the day. Our paddle to the beach was so beautiful and the snorkelling was excellent. Thank you for a memorable day!

We had an amazing morning leaving the pier by kayak. We took kayaks around zihua Bay with our guide telling us about the community and buildings along the way. We landed our kayaks on Las gatas beach and had a table to ourselves where we could leave our things and go snorkeling. Everything was looked after and we returned from snorkeling to great drinks and a delicious lunch of Mahi Mahi and shrimp. While snorkeling we saw so many fish along with a historic anchor from an original voyage of the area. There was also a 12 foot tall statue of Jesus that was lowered into the bay years ago. We then kayaker back to LA ropa Beach where we got a ride back to our condo. It was a great day. 10 of 10 reccomend this tour! Also the water is very warm in December.

This was a terrific experience. Luis was our guide and he was so wonderful. His knowledge of the area was excellent and he was very easy going. We appreciated every recommendation he had, he was also extremely funny, making me laugh several times. I can’t wait to come back and hope for another tour/experience with him.

We had a wonderful day. The trip is very well organized. Kayaking is fun, not too difficult but enough of a workout to help you appreciate your arrival. Snorkeling was just the right amount of time and more fish than expected. Lunch was light and tasty. Pablo is an excellent guide/leader. Luis was efficient, punctual and gracious. All-in-all it’s a great day with a very professional group.

Great trip in three important ways. The kayaking was great, good execise and buena vistas; snorkeling was fantastic with lots of fish and other underwater sights, plus a close encounter with Jesus, and lastly a sumptuous fish lunch on the beach. In addition to all that, Luis picked us up, right on time and Pablo greeted us at the marina ready to go. Pablo was friendly and informative, schooling us about the Zihua region and history. He was polite and attentive to our needs, prepared for anything a couple of tourists could throw his way. We took the water taxi to the beach, got all set and we were on our way. Luis was there to greet us when we disembarked and quickly returned us to our lodgings in Ixtapa. The whole tour was just us, an old married couple, living it up in retirement.

We had a great tour just to ourselves with Pablo. He told us a lot of history of the area as we were kayaking, and we loved freediving the statue of christ and saw tons of fish on the rock reef (my favorite were the blue Neon Lights fish that looked like they were wearing big green mermaid sequins!), plus some stingrays! We also saw tons of gray angelfish, a queen or two, lots of neon damsels, sargeant majors, rainbow runners, spadefish, 2 really cute gobies, 2 porcupinefish the size of my head, and a lot more. Not any big coral, but lots of tiny growing coral that i hope will make it - the turbidity from all the boats anchoring nearby and the warming ocean temperatures will probably prevent this place from ever having big coral again, but we can cross our fingers! I did find quite a few big orange christmas tree worms in some of the crevices between the rocks. Lunch was great (we both had shrimp and guac) and we got tons of great pics on the beautiful Playa las Gatas. We never felt rushed and could have stayed longer if we weren't heading up to Saladita to surf. We are both advanced paddlers/divers and while typically I don't book tours like this as they tend to be a little less adventurous, we thoroughly enjoyed it. especially having booked it last minute! Directions on a place to meet were easy and he was punctual. Highly recommend for anyone who likes kayaking and snorkeling.

We hired Luis and his company to do private transportation to and from the airport, a snorkelling and kayak tour, a food tasting tour and the baby sea turtle release/Juluchuca combination tour to Papanoa. Every single part was excellent. Luis was reliable, always kept in touch, helpful and just a really fun and knowledgeable person to spend time with on the kayak and snorkelling tour and during shuttling. We had Francisco for the next two tours and what fun it was! Again, amazing personality and he was just a fountain of information. I loved that they picked up on our points of curiosity and sort of customized each excursion to that...including a quick walk through the Artisanal Market to find a molcajete pot to bring home and the stop to buy salt in Las Salinas. No matter what you want to do, you will be absolutely delighted if you go with Luis!

Pablo is the best guide we could have asked for. Started with a great kayaking trek from Zihuatanejo marina to Las Gatas. It's probably about three miles trek. Easy-to-use kayaks were provided, of course. Then, about an hour and a half of snorkeling. Pablo showed us a few things along the way, an anchor, and from the 18th century, I believe was a gigantic bell dump in the water and a 12' high statue of Jesus. All in all, we had a great time. Again, Pablo is great and cares for the safety of his clients very much. His nephew was our driver, and he was wonderful as well. Lo siento mi amigo, I forgot your name.
