The driver Daniele and guide Suzana are very pleasant company. They know all the great spots to take pictures and enjoy the view. The guide Suzana really knows a lot about the region and it's history and it was very nice to hear the stories.
Can recommend this day trip to everyone.
We rent a car and on the way to Ohrid managed this visit. Easy to access and worth to visit, there is a nice cathedral there in the valley. Now the church was on dry thx to the low water level, but sometimes it is in the water.

Driver Miki and guide Susana were great. Can’t be objective because it was such a lucky day.luxury ac sedan private tour . Once a year traditional formal wedding in high mountain village. Televised Nationwide The President attended. Music, costumes, horseback riders, ceremonies July 14 saints day was a Tuesday so event moved to the Saturday and we got to see it. Memorable special travel experience. The NP,lake and monastery with 1000 year old icon and unique wood carvings followed by excellent late lunch near the lake with traditional stew in a crock and local beer in frosted mug would have made for a nice day in the mountains but I can’t evaluate the tour because it probably isn’t possible to replicate getting Miki and Susana and the thrill of the folk spectacle. Note of caution the tour description on the Viator web site is not current. Sharks Cave is only open to large groups by prior special arrangements. Just as well because it would have required a scramble up a rocky hillside which we would not have attempted. And there was a disappointment. The photo on the web site features the partially submerged old church with the lake in the background. We planned to pose on the shore before the church and use it on this year’s Christmas card. It is an iconic travel image. Well the church has been high and dry for years. Climate change and low water. It is located up a small cove so no lake view. Ordinary church ruin with what little ambiance left spoiled by a newly constructed ugly new great concrete bell tower right in front. Viator should not be using an image that doesn’t show the current reality.we skipped the 1+ rough hike to the waterfall. It was hot and at 3pm after the monastery we were beat and very hungry and still faced a half hour drive back up the canyon to the lake. And the second church was closed for repairs. It’s a nice drive through some beautiful mountains, some religious art and a nice lunch and a full day out of the city to see more of the country but if you care about the submerged church find out about the water level before booking the tour and keep the other realities in mind

This tour was one of the highlights while recently visiting Macedonia. The tour guide, Suzanna, and driver, Danielle, were both tremendous. They went out of their way to show me some spectacular scenery and make sure I got the most out of the day. It was genuinely a lot of fun. Mavrovo deserves to be more well known and is chock full of interesting landscapes and villages. If you want a relaxing day outside of Skopje, you can't do better than this.
