Highly recommend the jeep and trekking combination experience, especially for first-timers! Guide was Gede, and he was patient and friendly throughout.

This hike was one of our favourite experiences whilst staying in Bali. The pick up and transfer was super easy and the driver was lovely. The tour up the mountain was incredible. Our tour guide was called Jatayu and he was lovely and very informative. He took the hike at our pace and did everything he could to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He also took some great pictures! Highly recommend this tour and tour guide.

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing time on the sunrise Trekking tour. We were very fortunate to have Tana as our guide. He took great care of us and knew all the best viewpoints for sunrise. The views from Mount Batur were incredible and Tana made the morning all the more enjoyable! We were also picked up and dropped off at our accommodation by the driver who was very helpful and friendly. Overall I'd highly recommend this tour and having Tana as a guide!

I really enjoyed my hike and had a great tour guide in Kliwan. The transport was great and my tour guide was kind, professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone else who wants to see Mt. Batur!

Our guide Tana was really great. He gave us all we needed to make the hike and let us set the pace. Once safely on top, he gave us coffee to warm up and told us the history of the volcano. The pictures he took of us were stunning, he has great talent. The trip down was also enjoyable and he answered any questions we had and was very engaging. I would definately have him as a guide anytime again.

Although we couldn't see the beautiful scenery due to the weather, it was definitely worth the climb. Our guide was less friendly at first, but gradually opened up to us and helped create good memories. One downside was the lack of headlamps. Most other tour groups had headlamps, but we were only given flashlights. For someone like me who is new to hiking at dawn, it was very inconvenient to move while holding a flashlight in one hand. On the way to return to the hotel, We fell asleep on, and it was too hot because the driver turned off all the air conditioning and opened the windows wide. It was probably to save gas, but it was too hot and I almost became dehydrated. The end was disappointing.

It was a 5 stars experience from picking us up to make it to the top of Mount Batur. The driver and the guide were very professional with great knowledge and experience they make us feel very safe at all times. Our driver was Wayan and our guide was Tana.

We booked the private jeep tour + hiking to the top for 2 people. Waking up at 2.30am is never a nice experience but was def worth it! The transfer then the jeep brings you half way and then there is a further 45 min to walk to the top. Be prepared though the walk up is not easy on sand like lava stones. So take the walking stick offered by your guide. The sunrise and the view from the top is great. It was busy when we did it but I guess that's the downside of any popular activities in Bali. What made the experience great though is definitely our guide Gede who was super friendly and was a great photographer ! Many thanks.

We decided to do the Mount Batur trekking during the day and not for sunset. We didn’t want to do the early morning hike in the dark and the company was very flexible in providing us with a tour guide at the time we wanted to hike up. Our guide was YON and we had an amazing experience! He was very friendly, welcomed us with water and accommodating with our pace. The best thing is that we had the entire mountain top to ourselves. We hiked around 7:30 and when we got to the top only had monkeys to keep us company. YON provided us with coffee and breakfast and stayed with us until we wanted to come down. Overall amazing experience!

Amazing trekking and moment for the sunrise. Good breakfast with a magical viewpoint. Perfect organisation. We were lucky because we had the best guide, Dul. Very kind, so funny and always in a good mood. He made the experience even more exceptional.

We had such an amazing time doing the Mount Batur Sunrise Hike with Bagus Tours. Our guide Jata was one of the most sweetest, friendliest people we have met on our trip and he really made the experience special for us. He made sure everyone was hydrated and to slow down or stop if anyone in the group got tired. Once we got to the top he cooked us a delicious breakfast and even surprised us with his fantastic photography skills. He was extremely warm and caring, he shared so many personal stories and we had so much fun running down the mountain with him. The driver was also very punctual and patient and he took us to a coffee plantation tasting which was another nice and fun activity. This was really a once in a lifetime experience, possibly our favourite in Bali, thank you to Jata and Bagus for such a great time! We will remember you Jata, thank you for making our trip so memorable. We definitely recommend the hike to anyone else visiting Bali!

The tour was absolutely amazing exceeded all expectations. Our tour guide Carik was a legend! He gave us a lot of interesting information along the way and took some epic pictures and videos for us! Made the experience that more memorable thank you again!

The hike up Mount Batur starts at 4am and takes about 1.5 - 2 hours with a total ascent of about 650m The terrain was gradual at first before becoming slightly more challenging. The last 100m of ascension was very rocky with loose gravel. A hiking stick and good shoes are a must. The views are spectacular on top as the sun rises. A windbreaker is recommended as it’s quite chilly at the peak. My guide was Dul and I can fully recommend him. He was very polite and encouraging. He prepared banana sandwiches, a chocolate bar and a boiled egg for breakfast. He also provided a bottle of mineral water (500mls), a hiking stick and a headlamp at the start of the hike.

We contacted Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking to see if we were able to tailor our tour. We opted for the Mount Batur Jeep & Trekking, followed by the coffee plantation & Tegalalang rice terrace & swing. Our tour also included hotel pickup and drop off. We were picked up promptly from our hotel in Ubud at 3am by Ari, who was our driver for the day. We drove to the base camp, where we met with Gede, who drove us in a jeep part way, where we proceeded by foot. Gede was the best trekking guide and he was super patient helpful in navigating the terrain, keeping us laughing and motivated along the way. He took the most awesome pics of us and has made the day unforgettable!! Definitely our highlight for our Bali trip! Following the Mount Batur trekking and rice fields, Ari drove us to the coffee plantation & rice terrace. Ari was great, answering all our questions along the way. Overall the best planned and most organised tour in Bali!

Awesome experience from start to end! From being picked up by our driver Erick from our villa (who has been hiking the volcano for years) to meeting Donn the best tour guide on the trek, everything was perfect! Donn only 24 years old had been hiking Mount Batur since he was a kid and had so much knowledge about the volcano and the surrounding area it was a huge plus having him!
