Federico, our guide was of very good knowledge about all actions we did. Although only some of the people in our group were actually doing some cooking, we all had fun and very good food and sangria. Really enjoyed it.

VERY enjoyable form start to finish! Our tour guide Federico was really great at explaining everything and giving great tips and he made the experience very fun! We especially liked going to the market first to pick up the ingredients and seeing everything fresh. The cooking process was hands on which we enjoyed and everything tasted amazing! I would 100% recommend it!

Fantastic foodie experience, well organised and fun with a small size group. Market shop with brilliant guide to describe local foods and traditions, then off to a local restaurant for the cooking, then eating together. Perfect!

Highly recommend this experience. Fred our guide was so knowledgeable and really informative and helpful. We had so much fun shopping with him and the then preparing the “rice” (paella) and sangria. Met lovely people who also booked. Great way to spend a couple of hours in Alicante.

I love to cook and indulge in cusines globally. Today I had an amazing experience shopping for ingredients and then preparing Paella and Sangria with a wonderful bunch of people. Our lovely guide Frederico was very knowledgeable and explained the whole process in both English and Spanish, he catered for the whole group and made sure everyone felt comfortable.

I booked this workshop twice. The first time they cancelled as they didn't have a minimum number attending (understandable) so I rescheduled it to the next date. The second time, despite waiting for 20 minutes at the nominated meeting place, no-one turned up. When I contacted the company, I received a reply nearly 2 hours later stating the workshop was currently underwater and that they waited for me. Either they weren't at the correct meeting place, I checked that I was standing at the right place twice, or they were there and just didn't notice me and went ahead anyway, I'm not sure. At no stage did they try and contact me or have any signage/clothing to make themselves easily identifiable, which would have been much easier considering that the meeting point is in quite a busy area. But in saying all of that, they did agree to refund me the cost of the workshop when I was unable to attend another date.

Wonderful experience both in the market and kitchen! The guide was knowledgeable and very nice! Received the recipe right after the class and made the sangria the next day.

We had a great time at the paella cooking class in Alicante! Fede, our guide, led us through a lively market tour to pick up the fresh ingredients we needed for the dishes. We made a tomato and fish salad and sangria to begin with, followed by paella! Fede and Chef Montserrat's guidance made the experience both fun and informative and all the food we made was delicious! We would definitely recommend this class if you're in Alicante! It's also a great way to hear some history of the city. Highly recommended!

Buying the ingredients was great and we enjoyed helping with the preparation …we were disappointed though that the recipes promised by email did not arrive

Our party of 7 enjoyed this from start to finish. Fede took us through the Market to several vendors to get ingredients and was very informative, teaching us about different varieties of ham and wine and fish and more. In the kitchen, he and Montse gave us clear instructions on cooking and on making sangria. Delicioso! It was a joyful, festive experience, we made new friends and learned new skills. Highly recommended! We would all definitely do this again!

What a Fantastic day!! I was gifted this day by friends and it was a fantastic present!! I have lived near Alicante for 8 years and eaten some lovely paellas and drunk some very nice Sangrias ….. but how to re create at home??? Now I know and have just made my first batch of Salmorreta 😁😁 Thankyou Federico and Moncie for the lesson 👍👍 As advertised, the day started at the Mercado Central. It is a beautiful Mercado and the historical information Federico gave us was excellent! The reason the address is Mayo 25…. Just go and find out! The market stalls are amazing with an eye watering variety of great quality produce and Fed was a fantastic guide and so informative. Our produce purchased we walked the the short distance to the kitchen, met Moncie and our cookery lesson began, interspaced with nibbling the lush olives, jamon & typical Alicante salad washed down with Sangria… all purchased at the Mercado. Paella (Arroz) prepared, cooked and eaten - absolutely delicious! We took our leave, very well informed, fed and happy! So thank you to my friends for the day and Many Thanks to Fed and Moncie for fantastic experience. Well recommended 👍👍

Not what I was expecting. Small groups prepping prawns, squid for paella. Tomato chopping and dried fish picking. Pomegranate deseeding. More groups squeezing and slicing fruit for Sangria. Only one or two people actually cooked a tiny part of end result which was disappointing.Mostly rice, little flavour with the very occasional piece of fish. Chef did most of cooking. This is not really a cookery course.

Federico and Montce were excellent hosts. Fede spent an hour with us in the central market and gave us lots of info about regional cooking and ingredients. Montce made cooking a huge paella look easy, we were impressed by the explanation of every ingredient and cooking step. We’d absolutely reccomend this tour to our friends.
