Pamukkale Hierapolis and Cleopatra's Pool Tour with lunch from Antalya
Overview
Hierapolis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hot springs there have been used as a spa since the 2nd Century B.C.E. and people came to soothe their ailments with many of them retiring or dying here.
Some of the highlights; the large necropolis is filled with sarcophagi, the main street with the gates and latrines, cathedral, the theatre and St. Philips tomb. The hot springs causing cascades which are called the Cotton Castle. Because of the distance we have to leave Antalya early and return late but its worth it to experince this wonderful place.

Made too many stops at shops on the way going and back, which added at least 2+ hours. Drive itself is under 3 hours each way and only 3hours in the city to explore. At lunch, drinks aren’t included and you can’t bring your own inside. Pamukkale/Hieropolis is a nice ancient city and I would still recommend visiting, but just know it’s very overcrowded in the public thermal pools and Cleopatra pool…not like the photos you’ll see online. The tour guide Bekir was incredible - he clearly loves what he does and has a passion for tourism. The tour guide Bekir was incredible - he clearly loves what he does and has a passion for tourism. Pamukkale, Hierapolis, and the Cleopatra pool (which only costs an extra 130lira, I think, so definitely worth it) were all part of the same beautiful site, which he gave us ample time to walk around (though by going into the pool first, we spent too much time in there to properly spend elsewhere, but that's our fault!). We also chose to do the paragliding in between lunch and Pamukkale, which was really well-organised as a diversion from the rest of the tour group. It was only 80euro and was an incredible experience. My only caveat would be too much focus on taking photos (because then you can pay an additional $40 - yes, different currency - for the photos. I have one complaint with this tour, which have NOTHING to do with Bekir and everything to do with the tour operator: They make you stop at a stone 'factory' - it's a giant store selling stones and stuff made out of stones. I don't know how else to describe it but like a Walmart of stones with staff yelling at you trying to sell their wares - I heard 'Hey, lady! Hey lady!' multiple times. Other tour busses also stopped there, so maybe it's just some sort of scam agreement that all tour companies have with the stone store since it's right before Pamukkale. So if you can't avoid it unless you rent a car, then you might as well go on this tour because Bekir is fantastic. We waited over a half hour for everyone in the group to have finished shopping (like, two our of fifteen of us), so that precious time really could have been better spent at the actual tour site the tour is for, that we all paid for.Our guide was great, funny, told us interesting facts and was very helpful. The lunch was excellent. I definitely recommend this tour.

This tour was so well organized and enjoyable! I had a wonderful day. Lots of variety and options on this tour. Very informative with a good balance of freedom to explore on your own and also a wealth of information and history from our guide. The group size is so nice being a small group we could move around easily and had more time to see all the sites I feel like every detail was considering and every possible comfort and enjoyment included with great time management, clear communication, a fun and knowledgeable guide and great price for so many great experiences in one. I Definitely would go with this company again. You want quality and fun this is the one for sure. I had just an amazing day with themThis was a well-organized tour to Pamukkale. This was a well-organized tour to Pamukkale. Pros: - Pick-up and drop-off were included as well as lunch (in a beautiful villa by the mountains). - The tour guide, Bekir, was really good. He was funny and entertaining. He answered everyone’s questions well. He has good recommendations for anything you need. - I like the idea of letting the tourists explore the area on their own after explaining the layout of Hierapolis. I would say we were given enough time to explore and prepare ourselves after swimming. Cons: - There were more than enough stopovers before arriving at Pamukkale. It’s a 3hr drive already from Antalya, and we could have arrived at Pamukkale earlier if we had 1 less stop. - If I could recommend anything, it would be to remove the stop at the stone factory or put it towards the end of the tour. People spend some time here shopping and it shortens the time we could’ve used in Pamukkale instead. Overall this was really good. If I could give it an extra star for the tour guide I would. I would also recommend this to a friend if they were visiting Antalya.A great experience and a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Professional tour operator. The owner of the tour operator was very helpful and courteous at all times. Strongly recommend.
