First, the bad part… the weather wasn’t kind to us, so we were unable to do the horseback riding. The nice side of that is the tour provider offered to either take us to a second winery, or to take us back to our hotel. Either way, there’s a partial refund coming for the riding segment. We opted to head home because we were so satisfied with the first vineyard. The lead up to our big day out was good, with thorough communication from Sofia. We were told to expect Lorenzo, and were sent a picture of him, as well as a description of the vehicle and the license plate. Lorenzo arrived early, and waited patiently to meet us. We drove to two other spots where we picked up more people, all the while entertained by, and learning from Lorenzo. He was a fabulous tour guide, even though he was technically the driver. He was also a courteous driver who made the insanity of Neapolitan traffic easy to contend with. Lorenzo delivered us safely into Mehna’s hands. She took us into Pompeii, and shared many fascinating details of the site with us. She answered our questions well, and kept a good pace, allowing for many pictures while still seeing a great deal of the ruins. To be clear, you need more than the two hours to see everything, but this is an excellent overview of the highlights. We were then met by Lorenzo again, who took us to the vineyard. It’s a lovely place with gorgeous views, but the rain was coming. As we ate, the heavens opened up, but we didn’t care. The food was so delicious, and the wines paired nicely. We bought some of their wine vinegar and olive oil in a pack to bring home, and they cheerfully provided us with some bubble wrap. We knew by this point there’d be no riding, and we were debating the offer of a second vineyard. You already know why we chose to not go, but I still wonder what delights could have been found there! Some of the other tour participants went on with Lorenzo, while his dad, Roberto, drove us into Naples. Roberto was also a delight, though his English wasn’t *quite* as good. It didn’t matter, because he spoke enough, and I know a little Italian. He gave us some really great tips for the rest of our stay in town. I just have to say, every part of this tour was handled professionally, and with great care. I feel I’ve made some new friends, as well as seeing and learning about Naples, Pompeii, and some of the magnificent wines made in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius. I highly recommend this tour to anybody.

We had such an amazing day! It was absolutely perfect. Lorenzo and the team were brill! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed us some super interesting parts of Pompeii. The wine tour and lunch were brill - both wine and food were absolutely delish! And then the horse riding was so much fun. Great to see Vesuvius from horse back - really special. Cannot recommend this day highly enough!

Definitely book this!! I booked this as a solo traveller, and I can’t recommend this enough to anyone who is in the area. I had the most wonderful day - the wine tasting and horseback riding was amazing. I’m not the most confident rider, and the horses were very calm - no experience needed. A lot of my tour were first time riders, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our day. Clear instructions were given by the host right from the beginning. The wine tasting was delicious - and plenty of food to go around. Everyone I met on this experience couldn’t have been more accommodating. Unfortunately, I had a very untimely train delay which meant I missed the Pompeii ruins, however Guiseppe was happy to ensure I got the most of the rest of the trip - and I was able to rearrange the ruins. I’m extremely grateful for this, they all really went out of their way for me. Special thanks to also Lorenzo, who was our driver, and everyone else involved in making this day so special. Pompeii Ruins, wine tasting in Italy, and a vineyard horseback tour? With a view of Mount Vesuvius Volcano? That is 3 bucket list items in just a day! Will definitely be recommending to any of my friends/family who may visit this special area of Italy. Book the trip everyone!!

This tour was absolutely incredible. I was blown away by the views, knowledge of the guides, and taste of the wines. This experience was worth every penny and I would book it again! Make sure you read all the info about the tour prior to booking as you have to purchase tickets for the Pompei ruins ahead of time. They include this information in the description just make sure you read it all! Very helpful with telling you how to navigate the train and what stop to get off as well as where to meet them!

All of our guides Analize, Lorenzo, Giuseppe couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Our guide whose name I forgot during the trail ride was also super friendly. The whole day was full of great information and just a great memorable experience we will remember the rest of our lives. My expectations were very much exceeded.

We had planned for a Pompeii tour, horseback riding, and wine tasting, but the weather did not cooperate. Giuseppe was phenomenal and contacted us right away with the suggestion of an additional wine tasting because we could not ride the horses. Although we were disappointed, we understood and all appreciated the redirection and help with the change in plans. Giuseppe was very responsive and arranged an excellent driver to pick us up at our air bnb. Dino shared interesting history and information along our ride. He helped us store our luggage and get our tour tickets. Our Pompeii tour guide, Kiera (I think) was fabulous. She is extremely knowledgeable and was excited to share with us and show us around. After the tour of the breathtaking ruins, another driver, Lorenzo, met us to take us to the two wine tastings. The tastings were generous and paired with delicious breads, meats, and pasta. We all had a great time and easily purchased multiple bottles to ship home. The service and staff at both vineyards were professional, skilled, and helpful. Lorenzo was incredibly kind and arranged to drive us on to a train station several towns away. He shared insights, history, and information about the region and it’s people. His passion and love for Italy is significant! We appreciate his flexibility, thoughtfulness, friendship, and service. From start to finish, our day, even with the change of plans, could not have been better! The activities and staff were all wonderful. I would absolutely enjoy working and visiting with this team again!

We had the best afternoon horseback riding through the vineyard. Our guide was fantastic. Pointing out facts about Mt Vesuvius and the the surrounding land. The horses were gentle and in beautiful condition.

This was one of the highlights of our vacation! Our guide at the ruins was so knowledgeable and she went at a perfect pace. The horseback riding was so amazing, and the guide even let me go around the arena on my own for a little bit at the end which made my heart so happy!! The vineyard was beautiful, delicious lunch and tasting. We would’ve shipped wine home to Canada if we could.

This was a fantastic tour. Our driver for the most part was Lorenzo who was very entertaining. Our tour guide in Pompeii was Vivianna who was very knowledgeable. Pompeii is fascinating and a guide is a must to get the whole experience. Following this, we went horseback riding through beautiful vineyards at the base of Vesuvius. Undoubtedly the highlight of the day, made all the more unexpectedly unique by the fact that it was just myself and my friend on this part of the tour. No issues if you’re a first time rider like my friend was, Giuseppe was very good at making her feel at ease. The horses themselves are wonderful. Finally, the winery stop was nice. It’s a small winery so the tour is very brief, 6 wines were tasted in total, 2 white, one rosé and 2 red, along with a dessert wine at the end. We were also treated to some of their olive oil and wine vinegar, which was delicious. This is all served alongside a pleasant lunch on the terrace overlooking the vineyard, which is beautiful. I can’t recommend this tour enough! Loved it.

A lovely first day in the region! Our driver, Dino, was prompt, friendly, and has a clear love for his home region! Perfect amount of time in Pompeii for our family - our guide, Theresa, pointed out the highlights and the pace was nice and easy. Then the horseback riding was perfect for the family; our group had some experienced riders and some with none, but the pace is slow and the guides walk alongside you through the vineyards around Vesuvius. We rounded out the day with wine tasting and a delicious meal with a very gracious host and staff. Great time!

This is surely a tour you don’t want to miss! We started our day at around 10 AM when we met our guide Daniel. He Informed us many facts and myths about Pompeii! The tour took about two hours, and then off to the stables. Dino was our driver and remained with us throughout the rest of the day. He was a lot of fun and we enjoyed his company. Giuseppe had our horses ready when we got there, and then took us through the vineyards and mandarin trees. it was a fairytale for me! After the ride, he brought us to one of the stalls to see a two week old foal and his mama! Finally, we were off to the winery in Mount Vesuvius. The views around the winery were absolutely stunning! Here we met up with Carmine. this guy was hilarious and charming who then showed us around where the casks are and someone was there putting labels on the bottles. We then went upstairs to the tasting room and sampled all the wines they made and olive oil and vinegar. They served us a lot of delicious food which was more than a snack for sure! Of course, I then ordered a case of wine and olive oil to be shipped home lol! Thank you again to Dino, Giuseppe, and Carmine, for making this an amazing and memorable day!

We really enjoyed our experience today. Our host Giuseppe is very pleasant and experienced. The horse-riding was really relaxing and enjoyable. The setting is tranquil and calm. Giuseppe even took the trouble of introducing us to his other horses - it was great fun meeting those beautiful horses, and his adorable dog Billy and the cat! 😍 We would also like to recommend the driver/guide Dino who did a fantastic job! 👍

Highly recommend this experience! We took the train from Sorrento to Pompei, which was an easy little trip and highly recommended over driving. Liliana was our amazing tour guide for the 2 hour Pompei ruins tour, which was an unbelievable experience. Sofia was our host for the rest of experience and picked us up and drove us over to beautiful lunch and wine tasting at the local winery where their grapes are harvested from Vesuvius. We had an incredible lunch and learned about the different wines followed by a tour of the winery. Our final activity was the stunning horseback ride through the vineyards/farm and to say the views were gorgeous is an understatement! Thank you Sofia and team, this experience is absolutely worth the money. My friend and I left with memories we’ll never forget and we would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking to visit Pompei!

We just spent two weeks in Italy for our honeymoon, and this experience was my favorite day. The meet up instructions were very easy to follow, where Theresa led us on a wonderful tour through the ruins of Pompeii. Our tour group was only six people, so that made it easy to ask questions and avoid the larger groups. We had private van transportation that drove us to the stable (about a 20 minute drive), and absolutely lovely horse ride through vineyards. It was incredibly peaceful, and the view unlike anything else. We then did a wine tasting and lunch at a vineyard, which was the perfect end to the day. I would absolutely recommend this tour, there is something in it for everyone!

A really great combination of fascinating history, awesome food and wine, and touch of nature. Everyone we met at the tour was very helpful and accommodating. This tour was worth every penny.
