Excellent service and a great price. We used the ski school for our children and both Petra and Dani were amazing, taking our novice skiers from basic green runs to building their confidence up to do black runs over 3 days. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Another great experience with Hunters, ski package (equipment and lift pass) really easy to deal with and great communication on email and good value.

The service was terrible, unfortunately the guy working in the ski shop could not be bothered. Constantly laid on on the bench when we walked in, not bothering to move or get up. Everything seemed to be an issue, wanting more money. Paid for the premium package, and we did get good skis however all the poles in our group were given to us bent. Disappointing.

We have just returned from a 1 week skiing trip in Borovets, we used Hunters (our preferred choice) Ski school, equipment hire and instruction. This year we were taught by Boro Ordevdki who took care of our every need. Our family (3) couldn't of hoped for a better instructor, Boro's tuition is at the highest standard, he was born to teach as he clearly loves his job! Initially we all skied around intermediate level, by the end of the week we were strong, to advanced. We found Boro to be highly professional, extremely patient and always going above and beyond. I cannot recommend Boro highly enough. Thank you Hunters and Boro for the best Ski week. 👌

Another great visit to Borovets with Hunters. Fifth time using them and every time they are fantastic. Anna in the booking office is great. Always quick to respond and brilliant service. George and Rumen in the ski depot are fantastic helping us get the perfect fit with our equipment and even helping me change the fasteners on my own boot to make them more comfortable. Agni and Yuri our ski instructors were great and have improved our skiing so we can now do blacks and hard reds. Great location so we can ski off the slope and be in the ski depot in a few minutes even with ski boots on 🎿⛷️ Always enjoy our visits and Hunters are always five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had ski lessons with Neil and he’s an amazing instructor. In only 3 days the group went from zero to doing green and blue slopes and enjoying it! He’s really experienced, patient and explains things in a way it’s easy to understand. If you ever book lessons in this place ask for Neil to be your instructor.

We opted for a package which included ski equipment rental and ski pass. The prices were more then reasonable and equipment in good shape. For our 6-year old daughter we booked group ski lessons and were extremely happy with her instructor Daniela. In six days our daughter was skiing blue and green slopes safely, with a lot of confidence- thank you Daniela! The guys at the ski depo were very cheerful and kind. Overall very recommendable place!

Another great holiday in Borrovets thanks to Hunters ski school and especially Yuri our instructor. We improved and was confident in his instructions. Tip / we always arrive early to collect our equipment and to give ourselves plenty of time to get to our instructor on time before the lesson starts and and keep our equipment with us as it saves time you collecting each day. We have had Yuri in previous years and were pleased we had him again. Good equipment. Our son picked up the wrong skis after lunch but there was no problem Hunters sorted it out and swapped them for him. Every year for 7 years we have used Hunters for tuition, hire and pssses as they provide such excellent service.

Booked with Hunters for a week’s hire and 3 days beginners lessons after almost booking with another ski school (the one that’s linked to the Borovets app) I’m glad that I stopped and did my research because Hunters was ace from start to finish. Ski hire was really reasonable (I didn’t find it much cheaper elsewhere I don’t think) and the kit was in good nick considering muppets like me use it day in day out. It was easy to pick up and get fitted (go the day before ski school if you can) and easy to collect each morning. After the 3 days of ski school was complete I chose to take the kit back to my hotel which isn’t a problem to do, as long as it’s returned back safely on the final day. Phil was our instructor for the three days and was absolutely fab! He was so patient with us all but also pushed us out of our comfort zone (in a good way!) to encourage us to learn and improve. He also made sure that we all bonded as a group as a means to support each other so by the end of the lessons we were all invested in each other’s progress. Overall I had a great week thanks to Phil and the rest of the Hunters team. If you’re not sure which ski school or ski hire place to book with then save yourself some time and stop your search now - Hunters is the one!

We had a fantastic time learning to ski with Hunters Ski School and Ski Hire. Our coach (Neil Burton) was excellent with our group. He was attentive and tailored the lessons to the needs of our group. Our group of 11 people of mixed abilities developed our skills very quickly thanks to Neil’s excellent instruction and by the end of our lessons a large portion of our group were skiing down the black slopes in Borovets. We go to Borovets every year and we always use Hunters. They are friendly and supportive at the depot with a great range of instructors for the different levels in our group (we had beginners, children and experienced skiers). The equipment is always kept updated and the class sizes are just right! This year my other half and I had Phil! We are more experienced skiers and Phil was amazing..... I was a bit wobbly for the first few days and Phil had some great techniques to rebuild my confidence. He was patient and super encouraging. As the week went on he pushed us to a comfortable limit to be more efficient on the slope! It was exhilarating! Towards the end of the week he took my 3 year old out for some skiing - he was amazing! My LB is still talking about Phil and we have been back home a week. So, I always recommend Hunters - they are amazing (big shout out to Ivan!) and Phil made my week extra special (but I think I'm getting too old to ski for 6 days straight!)

Our instructor Phil McFarland was amazing and helped each of our team progress with clear instructions and encouragement. We have skied before but have never had the experience we had this time round. We skied to our ability and felt that we had vastly improved by the end of the week. He is amazing and very well organised. Fantastic lessons.

Great company and fantastic ski school! I had great time skiing for the first time with my ski instructor Agni! Agni was very thoughtful and knew how to adjust the lessons to my level and progress, in addition, she helped me overcome my fear of going to fast. We had great talks and I enjoyed going out with her after classes 🙃 Thank you for everything Agni!

Another fantastic week with Hunters Ski School. This was the seventh time using then and they are the Number1 in Borovets. I had new Head Super Shape skis that were fantastic, The guys in the depot (Flora Hotel) were super helpful and they looked after our (own) boots every night making sure there were dried overnight ready for the next day. Nothing was too much trouble Supervisor Ivan Dodov, was always on hand to answer any questions and make sure everybody got sorted out every day into the right groups and skied with people of the same level. Very professional set up and he made sure we had a great experience every day. They have a great website for booking and I really like that you can see all the prices in a very transparent way Overall a 5 Star experience and will use again in 2023 and highly recumbent to anybody looking for a Ski School, equipment hire or tuition (or all three) .

Not long back from an excellent week in Borovets. Firstly, I'm disappointed to read the negative reviews - definitely not deserved and guess some people need to learn a little patience during a very busy half-term. We've used Hunters Ski School a few times over the years and once again, they did not disappoint. They consistently provide 5 star equipment and a 5 star service. We hired skis and poles and had ski lessons and cannot fault either. The standard of the equipment is excellent with the staff even offering to keep our own boots warm and dry each night instead of us having to trail them back to our hotel. The staff remembered us each day without us having to show out ticket. They were really friendly and helpful even on the busy days when they were clearly flat out. Hunters provide some of the best ski lessons in the resort in my opinion. My daughter had a 1-1 lesson and learned so much taking her skiing to the next level. Special shout out to Ivan, who works really hard to ensure all customers are happy and get the service they expect. Would not hesitate to recommend Hunters Ski School to anyone, nothing is too much trouble and the experience cannot be faulted. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Apologies for the length of this review as there are negatives as well as positives. The most important thing this company need to do is improve their process for getting and measuring up your equipment vs collecting your equipment daily. It was not organised or efficient and left lots of people queueing and 'moaning' about the wait. Fix this and you'd have a great service. Day 1 - we were total beginners. We had the boots placed in front of us with no offer of help. There was an assumption we'd know what to do!! We didn't have a clue how to put them on. It was busy but we were made to feel a bit of an inconvenience. On a positive - once we got our stuff and met our instructor we had a fantastic day 1. :) Day 2 - we needed to collect our skis etc and meet the instructor at the Gondola at 0930hrs. We got to the ski collection point just after 0900hrs. The place was bedlam. Loads of people being measured up, queues out the door and no system. I waived my card and explained we just needed to collect our stuff so we could meet our instructor. No one was interested. I went to the office where the two ladies looked at me and said 'its busy', shrugging shoulders. They couldn't care less. I found the supervisor, who was very nice and appeared organised. I stressed that if we couldn't get our stuff we would miss the time to meet our instructor at the Gondola and he said don't worry he will wait for you. He made a phone call so I assumed he had spoken to our instructor. (Found out later that he had left a voicemail of which unfortunately wasn't picked up). Eventually we got our ski stuff and by now we were 30 minutes late. Got to the Gondola and the instructor had already left (quiet rightly because there were others in the group - who had their ski equipment with them and didn't need to put themselves through the stress of collecting from the office!!). Mental note to self - if I go skiing again I'll keep my equipment with me ! We only knew our instructor had already left because another instructor told us and considering the Supervisor had told me he would wait, we thought perhaps that meant he would wait at the top of the Gondola. So off we went on our first ever journey on the Gondola. Bad mistake. Here we are, total beginners - Day 2 and lost. Trying to find our instructor ended up in an injury for one of our group who subsequently couldn't ski again!! In hindsight we should not have left the ski collection office late. We should have demanded they take ownership and provide us with another instructor. The whole situation was caused by their lack of organisation. On a positive - our instructor was fantastic - Krasi. I would highly recommend you ask for him. He spoke excellent English and really did teach well. Building our skills slowly and confidently. Krasi is a credit to this company. Another positive is our equipment really was great. We had only booked 3 days hire, and did hire from other places later in our trip - but the skis and boots didn't seem as 'serviced', if that makes sense. I did feel safe with their equipment. The person who had the accident was given ski school and equipment reimbursement but not for the lift pass.

Another fantastic visit to Borovets and looked after by Hunters very well again. Our ski instructor Agni was fantastic. She help us progress our skiing from the green and blue runs to doing a Red run. Agni was a great help and even socialised with us at night for a great meal and then we took her to the toboggan run and had a race with our group. The thing I love about hunters is the way your group become your friends and social group during the visit. The whole group had a great night out together and this has been the case on previous visits. Skiing this year was brilliant. I went to Italy the week before and Borovets was by far better than the alps this year. Many thanks for improving our skiing and creating lots of memories

From Anna and Ani in the office, Rumen in the ski depot, Ivan, Marty, Bobbi and all the instructors it was excellent. This was our third time at Borovets. The reason we come back is the people at Hunters. Over the years we’ve developed a great relationship with the the team, and when you see them for the first time after 2 years and they say “hi Phil” you know they care. I’ve found Anna and Ani so helpful. Whilst we comms mostly by email, if I ever need to speak to them on the phone their English is excellent. They found the apartment in Tulip for us which is right in the hub of things making a family ski trip so much easier. Whatever you ask, they answer, Rumen and the lads in the ski depot are really helpful. My daughter had a problem with her boots, no problem, got sorted. Considering how busy it gets in half term they were very organised. Ivan who is the head instructor got my wife and kids organised in their lessons for the week and they had the best time. Marty organised a night out on the last day of lessons, so much fun. Bobi gave my 9 year old a certificate for ski school. The small things really matter.

The worst experience ever. I do not recommend. They gave me broken ski. When I tried to complain they told me that I do not know anything about ski and refused

My 3 children have just finished 3 days of ski school with Ivan and i want to just say how amazing he is … A ski instructor really makes the difference in how people enjoy the experience and how much improvement people make and I want to say that Ivan really made this holiday for my children, they are sad to not be with him tomorrow. He is the nicest guy, really looked after my kids and pushed them so they improved massively with in the 3 days …. Thank you so much Ivan .. we will be back xx
