What to expect
Start from Fussen's city center and stop first at Neuschwanstein (and Hohenschwangau). The tour and express ticket are organized by a professional tour guide. After the tour you are free for 2-3 hours to see Marienbridge, Alpsee and Hohenschwangau.
In the afternoon you will drive to the charming city of Oberammergau for some shopping and to see nice wall painting. Your last stop will be the small but also very nice castle of Linderhof with a beautiful park surrounding the palace.
At around 5pm you will be back in Fussen center with unforgettable memories from your day tour. This tour is ideal for small groups, families or friends up to 4 people.

We startet with a trip from our hotel to Linderhof Castle which was ok, as well as the following trip from Linderhof to Oberammergau. But then we had only 30 minutes left in Oberammergau before the trip was going on to Hohenschwangau castel. Then we had a boring waiting time of 2.5 hours before the guided tour at Neuschwanstein castle startet. The stay in Oberammergau was much to short and the waiting time for the Neuschwanstein Tour was much to long. The reason for this was obviously, that the driver of the car hat to do something else in the meantime. It was a high price for more or less a taxi drive and the tickets for 2 castles.The vehicles used not in good conditions. Language barrier a problem. Linderhof had many areas unavailable. Too little time at Neuschwanstein Castle área.

Don’t waste your time with this private tour. You can definitely visit the 2 castles on your own and don’t bother visiting Oberammergau. This little Bavarian town is a tourist trap. We were dropped off for 40 minutes to look around town. All there is to see are a few stores and cafes. We were given our tickets for our entry to Neuschwanstein Castle then told to meet him back at the drop off point in 4 hrs. Our driver was very nice but didn’t speak very good English so we had a hard time understanding what he was trying to tell us. We were very disappointed in this tour. Don’t waste your money or time with this tour.We met our guide at the hotel they specified, and they were flexible to work with our time, as we arrived a few minutes later. The guide spoke a broken English, but we could understand him well. Once you arrive to each castle you have a guide from the castle taking you, so there is no problem the...

Once you arrive to each castle you have a guide from the castle taking you, so there is no problem there. Basically you hire a driver, and someone to get your tickets for you before you arrive to the destinations, which saves a lot of time.We did a private full day tour and I truly can’t see doing these sights any other way. The castles and grounds are packed and all the stress goes away having someone do the driving, getting the tickets and directing you.
