This experience was one of the best highlights of our trip to Kauai. The pilot did a great job educating us as we flew over various points of interest, and having no doors on the helicopter made for some amazing photo opportunities. This was an excellent experience value for the cost.

Guy was an excellent pilot and got us into some great spots for some awesome photos. This is the only way to see Kauai. Well worth the expense.

The tour was amazing! I highly recommend this company and this tour. It truly is the best way to see the beauty of the island. And be sure to do it with the doors off. It makes the experience even better!

Our pilot,Nolan, was very personable from the start, answering any questions and helping us feel comfortable with our first helicopter flight. He was a great tour guide, pointing out interesting sights and giving much insight to the history of the island. In addition we found the ground staff to be very friendly, informative and efficient at checking HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! JUST DO IT!

The best way to see the island. The views were absolutely incredible and the helicopter was a joy to ride in. I thought I might be a little nervous to fly open door but I felt really secure.

Our helicopter tour of the beautiful island of Kauai was amazing! Although the weather was a bit uncertain, our pilot Stuart, did an amazing job of avoiding any potential problems. The ride was smooth and Stuart provided an excellent narration of all we were seeing. We were able to converse with him throughout the flight which was both reassuring and informative!! The Nepali Coast was cloud covered up high, but we had an up-close view of the shoreline and crystal blue waters! The Wai’ale’ale Crater was especially spectacular as we flew into with the sunlight hitting the waterfalls!! Thank you Stuart, Liz and Kendra

This is the highlight of our Hawaii trip. Since there were so many choice of tours on the island and we spent significant amount of time doing the research. We definite made the correct choice by picking Ali'i private door off helicopter tour. Their helicopter is in excellent condition, providing amazing view with no obstruction. James was our pilot who is highly experienced and showed us some of his favorite amazing places. He made sure passengers on both side see the amazing view. Staff working at the airport preparing the trip were very friendly and helpful. Communication with company is easy. I called them twice before the tour, every time they answered the call immediately. I highly recommend Ali'i private tour. The extra money spent on the private tour is worth it!

Before going, you should brush up on your vocabulary of superlatives...I ran out after about 10 minutes, and had to rely on "wow" for the rest of the trip. This was my second helicopter tour of Kauai, but my first with the doors off. Do yourself a favor, and select that option. Any concerns you may have going in will melt away within the first minutes of being in the air. Nothing can match the feeling of being that connected with nature. Our pilot (Guy) was phenomenal. He shared tons of amazing insights about the island, making the trip educational as well as beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to go on this adventure again, and I'd absolutely request Guy. We went on the 12:30 flight, and the weather was beginning to degrade in parts of the island. While it didn't hinder our trip in any way, the "earlier is better" philosophy seems to apply if you're concerned about weather conditions. The two of us are still stunned by the entire experience. Yet again, all I can say is "wow."

This tour was an early Father's day gift for my dad. We had so much fun on this tour. Our guide was excellent and knew so much about the island. We felt very safe during the entire tour and loved the experience of seeing the island from the air. On Kauai, a large portion of the island is inaccessible, so the helicopter tour is truly one of the only ways to see the whole island. I would absolutely recommend Ali'i Air Tours and Charters for anyone considering a helicopter tour.

Right from making the reservations you felt at easy and that you would have a professional but personal experience. Stuart our pilot, was all of that, safety was first but let’s enjoy the flight. The flight was in the top ten assume things I have done in my 70 plus years. Just the 2 of us with Stuart and no doors between us and some of the most incredible landscape was by far the best way to experience this unique Island.

First time ever in a helicopter for either of us. Felipe was an AWESOME pilot and we were quickly comfortable and loving it. He took us everywhere, and we filled up our phones with incredible pictures of valleys, beaches, the coast, a thousand waterfalls and several rainbows including a 360 degree one! He made sure we got the shot! I'd go again every time! Also for a bigger guy (260 lbs with clothes and camera) they have a higher weight limit on the private tour! AND have a much longer trip at 1:15!

This was an incredible tour. The office staff was very friendly and the pilot was awesome - he provided a more extensive safety briefing than any other helicopter tour I've done. They do book up farther out than others companies I looked at, so make sure you book far enough in advance. Also schedule for earlier in your trip, that way if it gets cancelled for weather you have a better chance of being rebooked. I also really enjoyed the Robinson R-44 helicopter, which allowed for more maneuvering and for photography, the blades sit higher off the top of the helicopter so it's much easier to get shots without the blades in the shot. Plus, there are only 3 passenger seats (one up front with the pilot and two in the back) and really, if you take more than just yourself the cost isn't much more than the other "regular" i.e. not private tours. As the title of my review says, I would do this again and again - it will never get old. I must've taken 600 images, attached are just a few of them. They will be going on my wall as very large prints!

Words can not describe how amazing the doors off helicopter tour with Ali’i Kauai Air Tours was. Our pilot Felipe explained everything and helped put us at ease. It was by far the most exciting adventure we had while visiting Kaua’i. I highly recommend this!

Our pilot James showed us secret places, explained anything around the history of Kaua‘I and even had a special playlist for this trip to make ourexperience even more special for us… honestly I had tears in my eyes because of this combination…10/10 points
