We booked a private tour and had a wonderful guide Sonia. She met us at the train station, and her itinerary was thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. She was enthusiastic and answered all our questions. One of the highlights was entering the basement of a house in the Jewish Quarter that is not open to every tour. It was only discovered in the last couple of decades and I imagine is one of many hidden secrets of this wonderful city that was once a harmonic cultural centre that respected Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. There are golden eras in the history of our species. Toledo represents a good example of these fleeting moments.

Javi was a wonderful guide with so much knowledge and passion for Toledo and all the treasures of history we discovered. He gave us very helpful pointers for our stay. We learned a lot, had fun and felt like we had a new friend by the end of our time together. We hope to return and explore more of the city with him!

We took a wonderful tour with Destino Toledo of the historic city of Toledo Spain. Destino communicated in advance about the logistics and met us at the Toledo train station. The taxi tour to view Toledo from the mountain area of above was a great start to our walking tour. Javier was an exceptional guide - one of the best we have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable of the history of this unique city, and really “brought to life” the 2000+ years and evolution of Toledo.

First of all, Toledo is a destination not to be missed. The history, architecture, and mixture of cultures is totally unique. We also really liked the itinerary for this tour. After a train station meetup, a taxi drove us to many viewing places; setting the tone and overview for what follows.

Our local tour guide Lidia was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. I highly recommended you do a tour with her.

Irene was the best. A native Granadan who spoke great English. Showed us all the best spots, including a great restaurant for after the tour. The church tour was perfect and the rest was mostly outside: lots of walking/exercise. Perfect for us to see so much. Also, the included taxi tour around the outskirts was a great touch.

Our guide was Manuel (Manny) and he was terrific! From contacting me the day before to make sure I knew where to find him (and to make sure I knew to get to the Madrid train station 30 minutes early to get through security) to taking his time at our panoramic stops to his great sense of humor and great knowledge of Toledo and Spain, we had the best time. Toledo is beautiful and I highly recommend this tour! Great way to see Toledo.

We LOVED our time with Sonia. She met us at the train station and had a tax waiting to take us to see the panoramic view of Toledo. She gave us an excellent education about Old Toledo, the Jewish Quarter and the Cathedral. Sonia was incredibly warm and relatable. She made us a lunch reservation at Restaurant La Cave, which was a very cool setting and a great meal!

Valle was an amazing tour guide. My entire family agrees this was the best day of our trip in Spain. We enjoyed the tour thoroughly and the panoramic views of the old city are breathtaking. We went on a Sunday when the cathedral was open at 2 pm but luckily our train was later and we had time to see that on our own. I cannot say enough good things about Valle - she was an excellent guide and I’m so glad we booked a private tour of Toledo for our family.

This tour was definitely a highlight of our week in Spain. Lidia was so kind and knowledgeable, the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. She is a local that knows everyone and everything about Toledo and such a pleasant young lady. She recommended a restaurant to us and made a reservation for us at the start of our tour so that we would have someplace set to go to afterwards. Went above and beyond afterwards to check up on us and made sure we had a taxi lined up to take us to the train station well after the tour had ended. Could not recommend her more! I did a tour of the Jewish quarters of Toledo with my grandson. Our guide Javier was amazing ! He made sure we visit the most important, interesting & historical sites always ready to clarify and explain along the way. I highly recommend him ! Thank you Javi!

The visit to the Cathedral In general everything was great, our guide Valle has a lot of knowledge about history and art and explain everything to us in a very understandable way.

This was a most amazing experience. We had been to Toledo before, prior to children, but had not experienced it in this way. Javi is the best guide and helped us to have an in-depth understanding of Toledo. At each point of the tour, he checked in with us to make sure that we were having the experience that we wanted and provided us with several options. We were able to see and experience Toledo up close and understand the unique history of the city and Spain. Javi pointed out different facets of the architecture, and the art that we would never have noticed or understood the purpose and meaning behind it. The timing was perfect, a clear, sunny winter day with almost no other tourists around. We did not have to wait in line once and often times had the site to ourselves. This allowed Javi to provide us with detailed information and history of what we were seeing. As we were walking, our two almost adult sons were engaged in conversation with Javi and were able to ask many questions and clarifications on the various sites. We got to see some “bonus” sites that we had not seen on our first visit. We recommend this tour highly and Javi as the guide. We not only saw Toledo, but left with a deep understanding and appreciation of the various cultures and their histories in the city.

Carlos was a fantastic guide. He was a font of local geographical and historical information. He was also passionate about the art work we saw - paintings, murals, trompe-l’oeil, ceilings and architecture. He showed us the best view-points and guided us around the amazing sights of Toledo.

Javi was a great guide. We enjoyed our private tour with him. Very flexible and tailored the tour based on our preferences. His knowledge of Toledo's history was extensive. Highly recommended.

Fernando our guide was wonderful. Had the skills of a professor in a class that you love with no test at end. The city has a rich history with interesting architecture. The view on the top by taxi is well worth it . We went at the end and luckily the fog had cleared. Thanks to Fernando for making it so memorable !!

Could not have been a better visit. Lidia is a knowledgeable local guide and able to provide a wonderful description of all of the sites we visited. Also gave a recommendation for lunch after the visit that was very good. Suggested where to shop for specific things we were into on and even arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the end of our day to take us back to the train station
