We had a fantastic time on this tour which we thought was a great way to explore the island. Lucas our guide was informative and we got to see lots of fantastic sights around the island. In particular we enjoyed the lunch where we didn’t need to wait in line as Lucas had rung ahead. Make sure you bring cash and take the time to enjoy the scenery along the way.

My husband & I had an exceptional private tour with Lucas yesterday! He was knowledgeable about the Hawaiian culture, history and fun random facts! He was flexible and even added a charming place to shop away from all the standard tourist key chains etc! We highly recommend requesting Lucas….there is no way you could be dissatisfied! Aloha!!

Before returning home from a cruise, we wanted a close-up look at Oahu to get a feel for the history and culture. Because we had a flight that afternoon, we needed to tailor the tour to get in some top attractions in the time we had. Out of several tour companies we vetted, Daniels Hawaii was the most accommodating for pickup at the pier and getting us where we wanted to go. We started with downtown Honolulu, learning about the Hawaiian royalty and the concessions made in the changing times to U. S. Statehood. Most impressive was learning about the dignity and brotherly nature of the Hawaiian people. We definitely experienced that during our week in the islands. Other highlights of the tour included a drive to the North Shore where along the way we visited the macadamia farm, heard great history lessons while taking in incredibly beautiful views, had lunch, and passed by the amazing landscapes where Jurassic Park and other movies were filmed. We definitely enjoyed seeing green sea turtles on Turtle Bay. Our guide was fun and easy to talk with about anything. He got us to the airport on time, and overall, it was a perfect ending for our 50th Anniversary trip!

Awesome tour with Lucas!! This was what we were looking for a private experience where we could dialougue freely, ask questions etc. Lucas our guide handled everyone with respect and took his time with elderly mother in law....we saw all good things to see...had some relevant stops for shopping...and lunch was a fabulous shrimp meal that Lucas had our pre orders and saved the wait when we arrived....so in short a must do to anyone wanting to see more than waikiki and looking to see where they might want to go back and explore.

I booked a private Oahu island tour for my daughter and I about a month in advance of our arrival (last week in March 2024). I'm so glad I booked this tour because we had a great time. We were able to sit back, relax and enjoy all of the beauty that Oahu has to offer. Matthew, our tour driver, was the best ever!! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, and so much fun! I definitely recommend the private tour since you can personalize it to your liking and get to see specific places and not feel rushed.

Our experience on our tour in Oahu, Hawaii was outstanding and a core memory for our family, especially with our tour guide Heather. She was so sweet, amazing, and a positive person and made our experience fun. Heather also knew many facts and details around Hawaii. She taught us new things and skills in nature. For example, she stopped by the beautiful Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout, showed us how to crack nuts open with natural resources and showed the different plants and species. Also, Heather was so kind and took the time out of her day to let our family see turtles on the beach just to see our kids’ smiles on their faces. I would definitely recommend Heather from Daniel’s Hawaii tour company because she is an amazing tour guide. Lastly, I would like to thank Heather for the amazing time and sharing the true experience of Oahu with my family.

This was a great tour. Although we had a rental car, I decided the best way to see everything we wanted to see …..was to take a private tour. Matthew certainly did not disappoint us with both his knowledge, good humor, flexibility and willingness to make the tour fit our itinerary. We even ended up with some drone footage of the beautiful Hawaii sea scape and our family. This is certainly not part of the tour, but like I said, he is flexible and open to anything. Because we had a rental car, there were a few things that we had already done on our own. Therefore, these items simply came off their listed itinerary and something else was put in its place. Matthew was always open to stopping for food or drinks or whatever else we needed to be comfortable. Matthew is not Hawaiian, but has a great respect for the Hawaiian culture and spent time talking about the history and culture. This was not a lecture, but a conversation that weaved interesting facts in and out of the day. Such a pleasurable person, took lots of phots for us and was game for just about anything. The only improvement I would make for this company is for the person who answers the phone. They need a better phone system. It is hard to hear and sounds like they are underwater. However, once we were turned over to Matthew, we received regular text and phone calls. This was a 10 out of 10.

Our friend group was able to customize our Oahu island tour and had the best time. Our guide Christine was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer our questions and make suggestions as needed. We had an excellent day seeing the island. Definitely recommend the tour and Christine too!

I just read the most recent review praising Matthew and the tour to the hilt and thought, “I should just copy that one!” We had a private tour from our cruise ship, which had several tour choices but not exactly what we wanted to do. Our travel agent suggested this, and we had a fantastic tour, starting at Pearl Harbor and going all around the island. We really loved our guide Matthew! He went over and beyond to make sure our tour was great. He clearly loved the island and was very knowledgeable about its history and culture. We can’t praise him, or the tour, highly enough.

Tyler was an amazing guide and took us all over the island. We saw beautiful sites everywhere. Even called our lunch order ahead so we didn't have to wait for a bus load of people to order. Well worth the money for the private tour.

We highly recommend this tour at the beginning of your trip to learn about the different places on the Island. Christine was our guide and we could not have asked for any better! She was extremely knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts. We can’t say enough good things about her and would certainly love to have as our guide again.

With a late flight scheduled we needed something to do! Our TA recommended this tour, was great, we were able to keep our luggage with us, He took us all over and even to the North Shore, while we didn’t see any TURTLES on the beach we did see a few in the Ocean! Was a great day! Would HIGHLY recommend, if you’re able to before your trip starts to see where you’d like to go and spend more time!

Our guide, Sierra, was awesome. Very knowledgeable and high energy. Left the tour knowing more about Oahu then I did before we got on.

My family booked a private tour it was great. If you love history Matthew is your tour guide. He loves and knows a lot of history. We got to pick where we wanted to go which made it really a fun day. If I’m ever back in Hawaii I will definitely be calling Matthew to take me to see more of the sites.
