Absolutely fantastic tour with wife and Jeff as our guide. Went to Cornudella to the Gritelles Winery for a tour and tasting which was fantastic and unlike any we had previously done. Onto an olive oil tasting and then lunch both at Scaladei and excellent, finishing at the Devinssi Winery at Grattalops. All fantastic and with a company and guide who lives in the area and knows the people. Can't speak highly enough of the tour and our guide, Jeff.

We recently spent 10 days touring Spain and hands down, the highlight was the Private Wine and Oil Tour of Priorat. The region is gorgeous and the wine and oil was amazing. Let's start that as a given. However, the service and professionalism provided by El Brogit was over the top. From listening to what we were looking for and recommending even more, the day couldn't have gone any better. Our driver Jeff picked us up at the train station and as he was driving us from winery to winery, he regaled us with the history of the region. He was friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic (and rather easy on the eyes if I do say so!) We hit 3 wineries, had a delicious lunch with wine pairings at one, and the olive oil experience was beyond what we expected. At the end of the day, we had to wait about and hour and 1/2 for the next train. Jeff actually dropped us off at a wine cafe and came back to take us to the train. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Meritxell from El Brogit Ecotourism planned an unforgettable three-day “wine soaked” tour of the Priorat region. With engaging and informative stops at Mas Martinet, Gratavinum, Mas Doix, Clos Mogador and Cellar Devinissi, she managed to sneak in enough time for tasty lunches in the charming villages of Falset, Poboleda, and Gratallops. We even ran into Alvaro Palacios! The region’s austere beauty is breathtaking. Limestone capped mountains form a giant amphitheater with hectares of irregularly patched vineyards hugging the hills, interspaced by small villages that pop from the landscape like ancient castles. All the wineries were welcoming, exuding their individual personal charms. Did we mention the wines were fantastic! Thanks to our friendly and knowledgeable personal guide Jeff, we were “plugged in” to the region and welcomed everywhere like long lost relatives. We also did an eye-opening organic olive oil tasting in Scaladei. Our host spoke not a word of English but communicated her passion for olive oil with her eyes and lovely demeanor. Thank you, Meritxell, and Jeff, for providing us so many lasting memories. We could not have asked for anything more.

An amazing tour with am amazing tour guide. Meritxell from El Brogit went out of her way to pick us up in a different town because we missed our train. She is very knolewgable on the the Priorat región where she grew up. She share a lot of information including history and wine making. We requested one winery, she chose the other one. Both were a memorable, private and íntimamente experience! We could ask many questions and enjoyed every wine we tasted. An olive oil tour and tasting was also included. Lunch of traditional Catalunya cuisine was another treat from her. We strongly recommend Meritxell for a wine tasting tour in Priorat !!!

Delightful, authentic, personalized, genuine… the words don’t come close to illustrating our time with Meritxell in the Priorat this past summer! She provided us with a lovely, curated visit of her home region where we visited several wineries and oil producer, each reflective of the history and craft specific to Priorat. I appreciated the genuine visibility that Meritxell gave us of daily life in this part of Catalunya, which is exactly what we wanted. She was extremely flexible and catered to our every need making this truly an experience for us, including humoring me in practicing Calatan! This sort of view into the every day life of a community is usually impossible to obtain unless you live in the area. One million percent will see Meritxell again on our next visit to Catalunya!!

Meritxell provided us with a wonderful weekend with visits to several Priorat wineries as well as life in the countryside. She was so easy to plan with and went the extra mile to arrange visits for us in the wineries that we especially wanted to experience. She took care of all the details and was so easy to be with. We really enjoyed getting to know her over long lunches and time in the car and hearing about her life in the region and especially about her holiday traditions. It was like being with an old friend!

Meritxell Omella from El Brogit made our hike and wine tasting in Priorat a unique experience. From the planning of the trip to the execution. We were four people in the group, and Meritxell helped us to the most beautiful routes and places to visit and accompanied us as a guide on the trip. We learned a lot about the wines, the culture, the landscape and the people of Priorat from the insight Meritxell gave us and the discussions we had along the way. Meritxell and El Brogit is highly recommended. Sincerely Søren

Meritxell (the owner of El Brogit) was fantastic and we had the most amazing, authentic Priorat experience. It is usually impossible to organise wine tours and tastings at short notice, but Meritxell worked her magic and managed to plan and book the perfect day for us including tours and tastings at two very special wineries (Cellar D’Scaladei and Cellar Cal Pla), an olive oil tasting that our two young children also loved, a great lunch, drives through amazing scenery and fascinating commentary throughout the day on everything from all things wine, to Catalan history and politics, to local geology and everything in between! Thank you Meritxell for creating the perfect Priorat experience for our family!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this tour. We had a great time. My perspective… this is not a typical bus trip. I found this trip to be much more immersive. Imagine a new friend picking you up in their car and taking you to meet some of their best friends and favorite neighbors. Meritxell was our host and graciously translated for us when necessary. Loved the wines we tasted and the people we met. The people of Priorat are just very genuine. I would and will recommend El Brogit and would do this trip again in a heartbeat.

From start to finish this was an excellent tour! Our tour guide provided such a wonderful and descriptive background of the region and provided us with spectacular look out points throughout the day as we journeyed across the region. We had two distinct and different tastings and both were incredible. The olive oil tasting had a snag but our tour guide fixed it right up and made up for it! This was such a wonderful experience and such a great opportunity to learn and discover a unique wine region in Spain.

This was a fantastic experience for us, our favorite day spent in the region. Meritxell communicated all details to us in advance, arrived at our hotel on time for pickup, and took us through a wonderful day of wine tastings. She is fluent in multiple languages, including English, and she took us to wineries where our hosts there also spoke English, so this is a great tour for American travelers. We were supposed to do an olive oil tasting mid-day but the provider was ill, and Meritxell immediately improvised and took us to another winery instead. Great work on the fly! Lunch was great, the region is stunning, and it's a true blessing to have a local, sober driver who knows her away around an area with a lot of narrow, sometimes treacherous roads. We spent a couple more days in Priorat doing tastings on our own and got lost at some point every day, even with the Wayz app. In hindsight, I wish we had booked a TWO day tour and had Meritxell as our expert guide for a longer time. (Also, Yuri at Devinssi is awesome!) Highly recommend.

Great day wine and olive oil tasting! Meritxell was an informative and very pleasant guide. She arranged appropriate wineries by inquiring of our preferences prior to arrival. Lunch and the olive oil tasting was in a quaint village. The food and the olive oil quality was outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. My only constructive advice would be to have Meritxell clean the inside of her car prior to transporting guests. Highly recommend this guided tour service.

Meritxell created full itinerary of two visits and tastings to wineries, an olive oil tasting, lunch, and a quick trip to the Carthusian monastery. She accommodated my particular interest in organic viniculture, and even arranged for one of the cellers to be Costers de Priorat, whose wine I told her was a personal favorite. That was a special experience for me. The guide, Jordi, was brilliant. He is a winemaker with an academic background in tourism, and he was so knowledgeable about many subjects and clearly had a positive relationship with everyone we met along the way. He also took a quick driving detour to show me a beautiful lookout spot next to a plot with 100-year-old vines. I’m very happy I made this day trip from Barcelona, and I hope to return. Thank you, El Brogit.

We were very lucky to get a private tour with El Brogit! Yuri was our guide in Russian, which was a very nice surprise, although he is equally great in English or Spanish too! We asked for the pick-up and drop off to Tarragona and everything was arranged: we spent whole day with our amazing guide learning, tasting, watching - great experience! We visited 2 wineries with different, yet most tasteful wines of the region, had olive oil degustation produced biologically by local families also in Priorat (we got so much of different oils!), delicious lunch in small restaurant in the village, but it was soo good! Finally we left with so much new knowledge, 2 boxes of amazing wines (some of them shall become world classic, we believe!). Thanks to Meritxell and Yuri for our stunning day in Priorat wine region!

Three of us were visiting Priorat to celebrate a birthday and wanted to go for a private wine tasting. We found El Brogit Ecotourism through some initial research and booked them a few weeks before our trip and I am so grateful we did! Before booking, Meritxell was great with communication and answered all my questions quickly. She was helpful in pointing us in the write direction in terms of what we should book. We were only in town for a long weekend, so booked a one day wine tasting tour that included two wineries, lunch with a local olive oil producer, and a nice stop at a great look-out point. The day of the tour, Meritxell was right on time and we had an amazing day! Meritxell herself was so nice and very informative - she gave us great information regarding the region and history of the wine industry there. We also enjoyed every one of our stops immensely! You can tell Meritxell has great relationships with the local businesses as we were treated like royalty at every stop. The wine and food we had all day were fantastic. Tt was such a treat to meet local craftsmen who love what they are doing and are eager to share their knowledge. We are already planning on coming back to Priorat in a few months and will definitely be booking with El Brogit Ecotourism again!

My wife, our friend and I went to Priorat for a hike and wine tour holiday using El Brogit Ecotourism Travel Agency for 4.5 days. The experience is one we will never forget. Meritxell was super helpful and extremely organized with great knowledge of the region(wines, history and geographical information). We were able to customize our trip to our liking and found a great balance between experiencing the local wines, hiking in the beautiful mountains, and exposure to the rich history of the area with Meritxell sharing her knowledge along with us visiting some historical areas within Priorat. The winery visits were very personal as we were able to get a private tour of each which gave us a better understanding of the passion, humility and pride the people of Priorat have for their culture and history. The hikes were amazing and Meritxell gave us really good maps with good instructions. She is an expert on the hikes as she is involved in their development. We left with great memories, cases of wine and a strong desire to return!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend in Priorat in early March. The area is beautiful, the villages stunning and fun to walk around, and the people are lovely. A big part of our visit was this wine tour. We had lots of questions and there was some back-and-forth regarding schedule leading up to the tour and Meritxell, from El Brogit, was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. We ended up doing two tours/tastings on our own in Porrera (where we stayed), one before and one after the tour, which were Meritxell arranged to fit with our schedule. Our guide, Jordi, met us at the end of our first tasting and drove us to a olive oil tasting and wine taste over lunch in Escaladei (delicious), a lovely tasting out in a vineyard in Gratallops, and back to Porrera for our final tour/tasting. So we we got a good sense of the area as well as the wines and olive oils. It was a wonderful tour and Meritxell and Jordi were both very kind and accommodating. One warning: if you get motion sick, as I do, take Dramamine (or your motion sickness medicine of choice) before driving around Prioriat. It is very hilly and curvy! I was quite queasy on one drive, even with the medicine!

We wanted to visit 2 wineries in the Priorat, Vall Llach and Mas Martinet that we had arranged with our with our wine purveyors here in the US. We are in Barcelona for 4 nights and priced out day trip tours with our hotel and another wine centric guide service and they were both over $600 euros and there was just two of us. We found that for 20 euros each R/T we could get to Reus, a town where Gaudi is from and very close to the Priorat. We checked Trip Advisor guide service Priorat and we found Meritxell. Meri picked us up at the train station at 10:30 and she was masterful in creating a schedule for visits in Porrera and just outside Gratallops with nice lunch in between the wineries and get us back to the station with 15 minutes to spare. She was very knowledgeable, professional, pleasant to be with and made us feel comfortable on our first visit to Spain. At one point in a presentation by Roger, the manager of Vall Llach, regarding an arcane discussion on soils like limestone and granite and that impact their wines she subtly took over the conversation and politely explained knowledge that only seasoned wine personnel or geeks would know. It was cool and Roger was not offended but we were impressed. It was a great experience and wish it did not end but there was Dinner in Barcelona! Love to do it again. Thanks Meri, Paul

Thanks to Josep, my very knowledgeable guide, I had a fantastic day in the vinyard and wineries. The view from vineard above Gratallops shows how small and special this region is to the world of wine. The oil oil tasting and lunch gave a new appreciation to the subtle flavors of the 3 different varieties of oil trees. The ruins of Cartoixa d'Escaladei helps to understand the religious history of the region. Both wineries had great values on wine to bring home
