Do this food tour! We had so much fun with our group and our amazing guide Karítas. It was only her second tour, and she was wonderful! As pescatarians, we were a little nervous that we would have to skip some of the stops, but there was even something at the hot dog stand for us. We left very full of delicious Icelandic foods and feeling confident about navigating the city on our own. Thank you, Karítas!

We were so lucky to have Bryndís as our guide! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and set the tone for having a great time. The information that she shared about Icelandic culture was so interesting. We also really enjoyed all of the food. In fact our kids (13 and 15) chose to go back to one of the tour stops for dinner one night.

Andri aka Snowey was an absolute great tour guide and I would highly recommend this tour! This was a great way to get nice variety of the Icelandic cuisine and an awesome guide!

The food was great and exciting to taste. Our guide was amazing! She, Bryn, was very talented and kept everyone happy og intrigued the whole time. She told interesting facts and stories about the food and Iceland, and had the best energy!

Our guide, Ari, was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was just right. A great mix of foods. Got to see different areas of Reykjavik to go back and explore later. The 3 hours went bye in a flash.

Our tour guide Andri Snowy was very friendly and informative on the foods we tried. We had a wonderful afternoon at 5 places. My favorite was Fjalkonan.

We had an amazing time during our tour in Iceland. Our guide, Burger, was highly knowledgeable about Icelandic food and culture. The places we visited were very hospitable and the food was absolutely delicious. We even revisited a couple of them the days after. It was our first time experiencing this type of tour and we loved every moment of it. We definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable culinary experience in Iceland!

Noki, our guide for the afternoon, was amazing. A great selection of both traditional and modern Icelandic foods. Great for first time visitors! Noki gave us great local knowledge in a fun and humorous way. We got so much more than we could ever have imagined.

My family of 7 had a wonderful time on the Food Walking Tour. Noki was our guide, and he was wonderful, funny, and very knowledgeable. All of the food was delicious (maybe not the shark), and we also learned a lot about Iceland on this tour. I will recommend this tour to anyone coming to Iceland.

We had such an amazing time with our food tour! All of the places we ate were absolutely fantastic, and seeing Reykjavik for the first time was amazing. By far the best part of our tour was our guide, Dagur. He was extremely nice, funny, and knowledgeable! He made a point of being extremely friendly and getting to know our group, while also educating our group about Icelandic culture and history. I can say without a doubt this is a one of a kind experience!

Food was great but our guide was even better. Dagur was very personable and knowledgeable about not just the city but Iceland as well. When we return, we will reach out and request another tour with Dagur. What an amazing way to start out our trip to Iceland.

We always try and do a food tour whichever city we visit. This was another great trip, not be missed. Our guide was warm and enthusiastic, imparted knowledge about life in Reyjkavik and Iceland, and introduced us to some fabulous food. She took us to a number of places we would probably not have visited otherwise and tried a variety of dishes - from street food to smart restaurants. Highly recommend.

Noki was amazing! He was entertaining and informative. The Reykjavík Food Walk experience was great. He gave us so much history and interesting facts while being funny and cute. The food was delicious and gave us a wonderful ‘taste’ of Iceland. I would highly recommend Noki to anyone going for a visit. He was the best!

Food tour was great. Bryndis was great, especially to insights to Icelandic life. Must try the fermented shark and wash it down with the Burning Wine!!!

Our guide Ben was fantastic. He was friendly, engaging, and passionate about sharing his knowledge of the local food scene. He made us all feel welcomed and helped to move the conversation along in a group setting. The food was fantastic and diverse. Ben offered a lot of insight into the heritage of the dishes, the sourcing of the components, as well as recommendations and tips to help us find other great meals and activities. It was a memorable way to spend our first day in Reykjavík.

This is my second Reykjavik Food Walk by the Wake Up Reykjavik team, almost a year to the day from the first. It was great sharing another fantastic experience with old and new friends! The food at each stop was amazing, and our tour guide, “Love,” provided the color, charm and humor to make the evening a very memorable experience. I would highly recommend going on this tour when you arrive in Reykjavik, whether you are “getting your feet wet” as a first time visitor, or an “old head” returning to Iceland. I would also recommend seeing the very humorous but informative YouTube videos by Wake Up Reykjavik to put you in the right “frame of mind” to get ready for your Icelandic adventure! Skál!!

The food was great, the tour was great, but if I had to pick what made it amazing? That would be our tour guide Ben! He uplifted the experience from just a normal tour, to something I will remember! The personal stories he told about the resteraunts, and his life in the city raised the bar. 10/10 will go again one day. My favorite place we went had us try this lobster taco, it was so good and I wanted more! We didn't walk more than 10ish minutes between each resteraunt, and I didn't feel rushed to eat quickly, and the amount of time this tour takes was perfect. 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone who can go.

I had a great time on this tour. Nice people, great food and the guide, Stevie, was really fun and knowledgeable. It was a great way to get to know the city and taste some local cuisine (try the shark). Definite recommendation for a fun day/evening in Reykjavik.

This was just the right thing for an introduction to Icelandic food and Ben was a wonderful, outgoing, and engaging host. Highly recommend!
