Isaac our friendly warm and wonderful tour guide had great knowledge of Alicante and the Central food market. He is an interesting and engaging guide The wine and food selection were tasty and varied. Enjoy!

The guide Frans provided interesting historical information and was pleasant. The beginning of the tour was disorganized. There were multiple groups of people on the stairs to the market which was the meeting point. The tour guides did not carry a sign to indicate the tour so people were walking around trying to find the tour. We have gone on viator sponsored food and wine tours in the past and enjoyed them especially the one in Malaga. As this tour was advertised as the lunch time tour and promised plenty of food and wine tastings I had expected that it would easily provide for our lunch. This was NOT the case. We received small shot glasses of the wines with an inch or less of each, not wine glasses or normal pours.. The food was minimal. Overall if you are looking for a tour that incorporates good food and wine, this is NOT the tour for you.

Very nice tour! along various market stalls tastings where you could taste local products (tapas and drinks) with explanations about local food and drink. Carlos told with great passion about his culture, ancestors and the market stall holders. Highly recommended!

An Excellent way to visit the market, the guides were very informative and give a great insight into the history and people behind the market. The food sampled was delicious and made me want more. Marina our guide was amazing and so friendly. Would highly recommend this tour.

We loved the tour especially that Isaac was so passionate about the local specialties and why they are important. He was an excellent guide and made quick adjustments based on schedules. The only downside was that there were two very small children and that was annoying with the crying. We'd suggest not allowing kids especially since there was food and alcohol tasting.

Got to taste loads of local foods and wines, brilliant value. Our guide Fran was great! We learn quite a bit and it was really fun !

We have had tapas a number of times but this experience was made really special because of the quite large variety of small portions, the matched wines for many of the items, the fascinating details about preparation shared by our highly knowledgeable and highly personable guide Frank (Francesco), and the opportunity to meet the people whose families have had shops in the Market -often for multiple generations . This was a great tour that my wife and I would label a must do for any Alicante visitor.

Isaac was a very pleasant informative young man. The group we were with added to the experience as the two Dutch men were chefs.

Our tour guide was Isaac, who met us at the front of the municipal market. A very pleasant and endearing young man with a great deal of knowledge about the local history into the foods and wines, plus very revealing history of the building itself and the people who work there. The tour was a couple of hours which flew past in no time. The tapas were great, with a beautiful selection of foods and some surprising drinks. If I was to make one slight negative is that it is a long time stood up, although a chair was offered to a gentleman who’d got over tired. I had got to that point, but it appeared the chair came from the store owner, so didn’t want to inconvenience anyone. I would say that if you’re ok standing for 2 hours, which 90% of people are, you’ll be fine, if not, make sure to let them know before you start the tour. Overall a fabulous experience I would recommend to all who love food and drink and like to mix it with the history and culture of the area.
