Beautiful , fascinating city; brought to life by our informative, friendly tour guide Reece. Reece was incredibly helpful and made the experience. Would highly recommend. The punting was also fun, again helped by our guide and steer Joe.

I highly recommend the walking tour provided by Oxford Alumni Tours as it was a very informative and enjoyable experience for me and my family. Sim was very engaging, friendly and knowledgable. He answered all of our questions and provided background about the university, student life and really interesting facts about the buildings and how things have evolved. Also, the information was balanced and well rounded, covering all relevant aspects. The unique aspect of the tour was getting insight into the application process from a student. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Our tour guide Archie was a dream. His historical knowledge of the city was fantastic, but made even better with his personality. Would highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable and interesting afternoon in Oxford with Jim who led our tour, and then with the chauffeured punting experience. The tour was very interesting. The group was not large. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the city and university, and our guide was very knowledgeable. The punting tour was a relaxing tour which we enjoyed. The staff at the punting were a little busy, but still well organised. Our chauffeur was a new recruit, but did a good job! My only negative comment is that the link we were sent to review the experience, directed me to an experience in Cambridge, not Oxford. We were a group of five (4 over 40's and one 18 yo) and we had such a fun time on this tour. Josie shared so much history in such an engaging and energetic manner, and all of us were amazed at her ability to walk & talk for 90 minutes without even a sip of water. I would totally do this tour again the next time we are in Oxford. We weren't able to enter Christ's Church as it was a Sunday and the available slots were sold out by the time we arrived, but that was okay - we headed over to our punting (managed by a totally different group) and our next guide for our chauffured punt punt was really lovely and we had a very peaceful 30 minute journey...plus lots of laughs trying to get on/off the punt w/o falling in. All in all an enjoyable way to spend our afternoon before having a ginormous Sunday roast!Overall we enjoyed both the punting and the walking tour. Overall we enjoyed both the punting and the walking tour. There was a hiccup because our guide called out sick at the last minute, so instead of a 10 am walking tour then punting, we did the punting first then walking at 3. Our punting chauffeur was a local student (just finished his exams / about to go to university) and he was fun and skilled. It was relaxing having a chauffeur- and many who elected not to get a chauffeur seemed to regret it. The punting operation was smooth and well organized. Our walking tour guide Zeus had just graduated and did a really good job in challenging situation. Our group was rather large (2x as large because of the morning tour being cancelled). It was interesting to hear about Oxford from the student perspective. He worked hard to try to get everyone engaged. We prefer morning tours so we can figure out what else we’d like to do for the day. Since it was a highlight tour, we heard about lots of things we would have liked to have known earlier in the day. By the time we had the tour it was really too late to do them. The tour company reluctantly gave us a small discount (after I asked - and then I had to ask again to actually receive it).
