Even tho it was a rainy day our tour guide Framcisco did his best to show us around and make it a beautiful and unforgettable tour of the park. He was knowledgeable, funny and very easy going. I like how he made us laugh and did his best to let me connect with the others on the tour. Like how he plan a good tour even when the weather wasn't cooperating. Best tour I had it was magical for me and best tour guide too he made me feel like he was a friend and smile. I hope to have a tour of the park again with hime next time I can't wait.

A great day out with a friendly guide. Beautiful waterfalls and countryside, peaceful walking tracks, nice food with regional flavours all made locally. Interesting local history and stories. Experienced driver on winding roads(and it rained also for part of our day - safe hands)

Tomás was an outstanding guide, he was knowledgeable, fun, kind, insightful, and made the experience memorable. He also did a great job of creating bonds and connecting people in the group. He was sensitive to our interests and needs, and has excellent English language skills. He made sure we got the most out of the beauty of Geres. Bravo!

Fabulous day trip from Porto in a small group. 90 mins car trip to the National Park area, combining village visits with a few shortish walks to beautiful scenery. Very friendly and informative guides - Tiago and Raquel. Excellent driving over winding roads with some rainy conditions at the end of the day. Delicious lunch provided with regional flavors. Totally outstanding! Pickup was spot on and the ride was comfortable. Pre-planned coffee-bathroom breaks. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was impressive-not a cheap bag lunch but rather a full on family style spread at a local restaurant. This trip was a highlight! JJ and Teresa crushed it!! 🤘🏻💥🤘🏻

Teresa and Joao were great guides. I advised them at pickup that I might have trouble hiking long distances because of knee pain. They took my limitations into account without feeling as though any of the group missed out on anything. We took 3 different hikes, they were wonderful. We stopped off at a great restaurant for lunch. I really felt cared for by Teresa and Joao, they were a lot of fun!

João N was our guide and was terrific! He was first of all a very good driver and knows Porto very well. We were very comfortable with his driving. He is very patient and checks on his group to make sure everyone is doing fine during the hikes. My wife had just finished walking the Portuguese Camino and ended up with a shin split that we are managing, and knowing this, Joāo checked on both she and I periodically during our treks. We were also the oldest (60s) in our group. He was genuinely concerned that everyone was doing fine and enjoying the trip. It is a very scenic drive through much of the countryside. I found the excursion to be as advertised and more. We had at least 4 scénic stops and a terrific lunch to boot at a small village store! They even made it vegetarian for us. The waterfalls and streams were picturesque and invigorating, as were the lookout points. Exceptional views. Just the drive through the park was very pretty with a lot of trees and sunlight coming through in our particular excursion. I am not good with heights, but the places we were at did not bother me, as there were not steep drop-offs in the places that we went. There were 8 of us total plus our guide. The trip was well-worth the price in our opinion. Do the trip, you’ll be glad you did!!

Renato led us on a fabulous tour of Geres national park. He was fun, friendly and very knowledgeable. Great way to see the highlights of the park.

The whole experience was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the day of sightseeing up in the mountain villages, waterfalls, and green, green forests. Marco was a fantastic guide-he was interesting and was well versed in many subjects-so our conversations were very fun and educational. Ah, and lunch was delicious.

Wonderful landscape, great food and extraordinary guide! Renato's passion for nature really came across and made the tour even better! Highly recommended

Absolutely amazing!! It was our first time in Portugal and Renato was the best tour guide! He was so informative and very knowledgeable with everything not just in the park but around the cities on the way there. Such a good vibe and happy person to spend the day with!

This experience was unlike anything we've done before and we loved it. It was an adventure. The walk wasn't easy but the payoff was incredible. Beautiful waterfalls and plenty of time to swim and enjoy them. Never felt rushed. The guides, Rui and Tomás, were always there with a helping hand on the natural walkways. Knowledgable and fun, good banter. They were taking pictures throughout, allowing us to focus on the day.

We had an amazing time! Gerês was absolutely gorgeous and our guide, Renato, was brilliant and very friendly and knowledgable. This trip was the highlight of our holiday in Porto and we would definitely do it again!

Francisco was an amazing guide, super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He kept the tour engaging and running smoothly. Extremely patient also, as there were parts of the hike we found particularly challenging, he offered his support and didn’t make us feel pressured or rushed. All in all a very kind human being and it was a pleasure to meet him. The hike itself was absolutely stunning, and the opportunity to swim in the waterfalls was amazing. We made memories for life and appreciate it dearly. The views were mesmerising and vast, and every location we explored was just as beautiful as the last.

This was such a beautiful area and such a great excursion! Our guide Patito was the best guide I had out of all the tours I took in Portugal (like 6 tours total)! The day was well planned with stops to see waterfalls, view points, each lunch, and relax in nature. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who has the time and likes to get out of the city and into nature! Note that the water is still to cold in April for comfortable swimming! I bet it's amazing to go for a swim in summertime though!

Great trip seeing the natural park and the small villages with a good guide (Petito). We had a wonderful time and very delicious lunch.

Petito is such a knowledgeable tour guide, and is a very caring and friendly person. He took us to spot the most spectacular views and introduced to us the history of the villages and how sustainable tourism has helped the locals for continuing living their lifestyle. Not forgetting to mention that the food in village is pretty tasty as well

This was a lovely experience, our host Renato was very knowledgeable and chatty. This was a relaxing trip around the national park (more of a ramble than a hike), we got to see some really beautiful sites and spend time at different spots. Lunch was a mix of local and traditional foods and was delicious. Exactly the break from the city we needed.

The tour itself was perfect for those who like to get out in nature but are daunted by big hikes in this region. It has inspired me to think about planning a trio to explore more. Petito was our guide in this trip from detour company. It fells like going back in time and studying through our legs the history of portugal.
