Very friendly team who know the best surf spots to learn at, I made tonnes of progress in 2 days, unfortunately I couldn't stay longer as I ran out of time!

My kids, 18 and 10 loved it. Great instructors and friendly staff. They also kept in great communication.

We booked this to “have a go”. Great introduction and very friendly mellow staff. Instruction was good and they take photos constantly to capture your moments. Lovely place to learn. For me it was physical and for my nine year old who is not a confident swimmer it was an experience, and to commend him - be kept on trying despite not liking getting his head wet when coming off ( everyone does). Mellow attitude and no significant changing rooms is the only thing they could improve with some better instructions - might be obvious to most, but come already dressed to surf in your trunks and sanded! E we drove and parked and we’re not ready. Both had a lovely time.

First time surfing for me. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, and it wasn't. The instructors really cheered you on and were helpful in getting you going. Clear instructions upfront before heading to the beach. Whilst in the water, they guide you what to do when. Peddle, peddle, peddle, up! If you manage to ride a wave, they celebrate with some fun yelling. Prepare for alot of crashing and sore muscles afterwards. Worth it though!

Great teachers who showed you how to surf easily. The whole class took place in understandable English. They gave us water and a snack. I would definitely book again.

I did a one day lesson on 9th December and it was absolutely amazing !!! I highly recommend this surf school, the whole team is amazing, I only remember Fran’s name. They were all so welcoming and fun and felt very safe out in the waves. It was my first ever time surfing and I was standing up a few times. The photos are such a lovely touch and great to remember the experience. Definitely hit this place up for a morning of fun 🏄‍♂️

I had never tried surfing before, and joined a one day course with Surf Canaries after seeing them practice on the beach. The course started with some theory, but quite quickly we moved to the sea. The instructors were very friendly and helpful. Surfing was more difficult than I expected, but with the help of the instructors it was possible to experience some minor success. The only regret is not having done this sooner. I will definitely go surfing again!

It was my first time surfing and I really enjoyed it. They also took nice pictures for us that’s why I chose them. But they are also good coaches. I will choose them again when I get back.

A great experience with super guidance from the crew. Everything explained very understandable and always improvement notes on the technique. It’s worth it! However, no master has fallen from the sky and I booked two more days on site (with discount).

My son and I took two days lesson at Surf Canaries on 11+15 th of August. We both had a great time and lots of fun. With the help of Francesca and Carlos I (sometimes) managed to stay on the board. My son really got the hang of it and almost looked like a pro (my opinion). We really enjoyed the waves and the exitement. Sore muscles afterwards was the proof that we had a physical and great experience. If you are looking for a great time do not hesitate to book some lessons at Surf Canaries. Took a couple of lessons last september. I’ve had a great time then. Instructors immediately notice what you are having trouble with and at what level you are. They are very well trained and give you personal feedback. I went back in June and took another lesson, because the first time was a great experience. If you’re learning to surf and you get stuck at some point, book a lesson with Surf Canaries. They will help you a lot. Real eye-opener for me.

A great experience from first contacting Surf Canaries through surfing to relaxing in the beach post surf. Danny and the team were fantastic offering really good instruction, combined with bucket loads of enthusiasm, that ensured the whole group managed to catch waves and stand on the board. Would definitely go back.

We are two oldies and a young man with learning difficulties, autism etc but who is a good swimmer and who loves the water. Surf Canarias could not have been more helpful, and my son kept riding high waves like a jack in the box without even getting his face or feet wet, although he never actually managed to stand (but did not fall in). It was loads of fun!

The beach is huge, actually it is more like a little desert, and lots of space in the water. Sometimes a long walk to where the waves are, which sort of becomes part of the warm-up. It’s a beach break with no reefs, big rocks etc, so it’s a nice and safe place to learn. Very nice people, patient and positive, down to earth. Wetsuits felt delicate for rental suits, and it seemed like they had a good system for desinfection re covid. I like that they recycle waste inside their office/store/center (separate plastic), and that they participate in the reforestation project to make Gran Canaria green again. Due to covid we had to stay outside the store while we waited, which is understandable, and most people chose to changed into their wetsuits on the sidewalk. For us who don’t feel comfortable doing that, there’s a bathroom in the back of the store which can be used. There are no shower/changing stalls or similar facilities (this is more or less part of a larger commercial building), but a hose you can use in the street in between the parked cars. Part of the charm. In a perfect world (maybe after covid?) a cup of coffee in the morning while waiting for everybody to get ready, would be a perfect touch (couldn’t find a single early morning coffee takeaway place in Playa del Ingles..). Would also be really really really cool if they could take a clear stance against marijuana, which is sadly associated with the sport and not cool at all and often rather destructive (found a joint on the window frame, hopefully not theirs), and hopefully more surf institutions would follow their example and promote a healthy lifestyle where weed is NOT part of it.

Best Surf-School, best instructors! It was my second time there and definitely not the last. Everyone is very nice an patient. Cool people and good vibes! Book now, you won’t regret it.

My son and I took the one-day surf class and had a great time! The instructor did a great job to explain the basics. After warm-up and short practice on land we were hitting the waves, and it did not take long before we could stand on the board :) The class is done in small groups and away from the crowds. The wind picked up quite a bit during the afternoon, but that just added to the experience and we had a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend Surf Canaries!

We originally signed up for a two-day course just to experience surfing. However we loved it so much that we extended our course. Danny is an amazing teacher and really passionate about surfing. I loved that the instructors caught a few waves when we were having a break, it really shows their love for surfing. We had small classes of max 5 people, which is a perfect ratio where everyone could get enough attention from the instructor and personal feedback. The people that were progressing faster got fast tracked and could work on some more advanced stuff. If you are worried about paying and not having proper waves to surf, don't worry. On our last day the surfing conditions were not that great, and they gave everyone the option to reschedule, cancel (with reimbursement) or just go out and see what happens. Surf Canaries really care about their customers and want to give them a great experience. I would highly, highly recommend surfing with them, even if it is just to hear everyone celebrate when you catch a wave!

We had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Gran Canaria ! Casper was a great teacher, really helpful and patient and gave each person time and encouragement in the water. Thank you guys! ✌🏻
