Stephanie was a fantastic guide for our tour in British Museum. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Although it is impossible to see even a fraction of the museum in a couple of hours, she did a great job of guiding us to a number of the most interesting exhibits, and helped contextualize them with some background and related commentary.

Great worldly museum but not British history per se....my bad. SHELDON was a great guide.! Very knowledgeable about many artifacts and great sense of humor

excellent, got there early ling que to get in very busy and we were there in the off season. to much to see sn do in a couple hours. plan to spend at least 1/2 day.

So where do you go if you want to learn about gender bias, the lack of recognition of female scientists, the prevention of AIDS, the restitution of stolen artefacts and transgender recognition in early Egypt? If you had told me “The British Museum” two weeks ago, I would have laughed! But that’s exactly what I got on a fabulous tour with enlightened historian and all-round nice guy, Sheldon. On an engaging and thoroughly absorbing tour, I learned things I would never have known and Sheldon also made me question some long held beliefs and to look at things from a different perspective. That’s a good tour!!

Excellent tour guide Jamie did a great job explaining and showing the highlights in our 2 1-2 hour tour. He covered many areas of the very large museum. I would recommend this tour company and specifically Jamie for a tour here!

Having a semi-private professional tour guide was the best way to appreciate the incredible British Museum. Sheldon was our tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed his detailed knowledge, fun facts, and insight. Overall it was a great experience.

Our family join the tour operated by Babylon, with Matilda as our guide. She is professional and help us to appreciate our human history and amazing achievements. To get ticket and walk through such a great museum is not easy, Matilda make our journey easy, fruitful and enjoyable

Andi was excellent. Had good grasp of history and the museum exhibits. Showed us all the highlights in the various galleries and answered all our questions. Also, Andy responded quickly and professionally to a medical emergency right next to our tour group. I fully appreciate and endorse how he handled the incident. Well done!

Would strongly recommend the small group tour. Guide Ivo gave us a 'world tour' in about three hours. He was knowledgeable and professional, we never felt rushed. If you have the time would recommend allowing a day.. take the tour in the morning and then break for lunch at one of the cafes within the museum or pause by the restaurant in the course of the guided tour and book a table for lunch.. There is little to no chance of getting in if you just roll up. Watch out for plastic damage at the museum book stores (the Bri is a major publisher) or the up market store just before you exit. Fancy a model of Bast for £4000? The silk scarves are covetable with many fewer zeroes on the price tag.

James was a wonderful guide. He explained timeline of history well. Very knowledgeable and a wonderful person. The tour was amazing!

James was my guide and he did an absolute phenomenal job of taking me through history and the story behind the artifacts. This is definitely a worthwhile experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to see beyond just the "objects" in the museum.

Becky did a great job showing and explaining many parts of the museum. The museum is so big and overwhelming a semi private tour was the perfect choice for us!

Andy was an amazing tour guide. He was very patient with us and with the enormous crowds at the British Museum. If we hadn’t booked a tour we would have roamed the museum aimlessly and with no context as to what we were seeing. Andy was knowledgeable and we enjoyed his commentary and stories. Becky our guide was amazing. She had extensive knowledge of all of the major pieces and yet she kept all of us, including the teenagers in our party, engaged and entertained. Perfect tour to book for families visiting the museum.

Our guide (Becky) was interesting, personable and funny. She was obviously very knowledgeable about the history of the museum and its collections and brought a enthusiastic sense of living history to her presentations.
