We did the 90 minute tour of chocolate guided by Lucy. It was interesting, informative and involved trying quite a bit of chocolate as well as making our own chocolate bar. I'd highly recommend giving it a try.

One of the most enjoyable tours we took during our Scotland visit. Educational, interesting, and fun - loved the opportunity to make out own chocolate. Highly recommended - one of the few tours I would want to do again.

We had a very entertaining 90 minutes learning all about chocolate. Bianca, our expert, had a genuine passion for the subject bringing her humour and enthusiasm to detail the history, geography and subtle taste aspects. Making our very own bar of chocolate was an awesome experience and so well organised. All in all, this is a great tour to do whilst in Edinburgh.

The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh is a must do. It was well organised, interactive, and fun. Our guide Sandy walked us through the whole process from the history of chocolate, how it's harvested, and how to make it. The best part was making our own chocolate with different ingredients. While it set, we were able to try different types of chocolate. Afterwards we got our own chocolate packages, and we were able to purchase some of the ones we tried in the tasting room. To top it all off, the chocolates we made were delicious!

Wanted to do something different than just sight seeing on my trip and this was #1 recommended activity on trip advisor. It’s about 1.5 hour activity and starts promptly. Lucy was fantastic in sharing the sort of cocoa and different regions its grown and varieties. Throughout the session, you get to taste various forms of chocolate and the most fun part is making your own. Several molds available with any toppings you would like to add and you take home finished product. At the end you also get to taste 4-5 varieties of small chocolate bites from a large selection they have. Store carries some unique flavors that you can buy at the end. Overall fun city and worth the time and experience.

This was a fabulous chocolate tour experience! We’ve been on a couple of Swiss chocolate factory tours and this beats those. Being able to create your own take home chocolate was so much fun and Lucy was an amazing guide. This tour stated with a delicious hot chocolate tasting and ended with sampling some chocolates of your choice. The chocolatarium is a must do Edinburgh experience.

What a fun tour; all in the chocolate making store; you got tastings, making your own chocolate bar; and a history of the shop itself and chocolate making Tour guide was excellent and the small store had a good variety of chocolate items to buy

This was reasonable. The guided chocolate tasting was good. The history of chocolate talk was a bit dry. Making the chocolate bar consisted of being given a piping bag of chocolate and piping it into a mould. This was ok but probably more aimed at children. The whole place is quite tired looking with a broken sink when I was there. The toilets are in desperate need of re decoration.

Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. Learning about the origins of chocolate and the history into what it has come today. Full credit to Jamie (our host) who was fantastic. So good to see a young person so passionate about what he was delivering. With lots of opportunities to taste test different chocolates and also have a go at making your own it really was a great morning well spent. Highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I had an incredible time at The Chocolatarium. If you like or love chocolate then you will absolutely love this experience. The Chocolatarium is a great mix of fun and education. I learned a lot about the chocolate making process and the different types of chocolate available throughout the world. We also brought home our own handmade chocolate bar and were able to taste 6+ other types of chocolate. The Chocolatarium was one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh. I highly recommend visiting.

Very enjoyable experience. We got a lot of information about how chocolate was made and also got to taste a lot of different types and make our own bar. Our tour guide was lovely I can't remember her name but she had dark hair and glasses. Very enthusiastic and kept us all engaged the whole time.

This was an excellent tour. We took two children age 12 and 10 and they both really enjoyed it! The guide was enthusiastic, the samples were plentiful and the hot chocolate was easily the best I’ve ever tasted. A great activity for any age, it flew past.

Really enjoyed earning about the chocolate making process as well as having the opportunity to make our own chocolates. The tasting at the end was lots of fun, getting to taste some combos you would never think of. Great little off the path experience in Edinburgh. Lucy lead my group and she was fabulous, lots of knowledge and brought a lot of energy to her presentation.
