Fabulous. Interesting, intelligent and engaging professional tour guide who clearly knew her stuff (Angela was the guide we had). You are not expected to pay (and some tight people on our tour didn't-shame on them!) so I recommend you go; you won't regret it or begrudge paying. In comparison we paid 25eur for a really rubbish Arno boat tour.

Angela was a great guide, so informative and interesting. She was patient and great to explain and had loads of time for questions. Highly recommend this tour.

We did the tour with Francesca, she was very personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. She recommended the restaurant Florentia, we told them that Francesca recommended the place and the staff send their thanks. We did the Dark side of Florence tour last night and learnt so many wonderful myths and legends of Florence. The golden sphere on top of the Duomo story was my favourite! You can still stand on the spot where it fell. We also learnt about the dead woman! Interesting facts about the Mafia bombing in 1993. And the miraculous painting of the mother Mary, which I'm hoping to go and see today. See if we agree or disagree with Micelangelo (Husband will disagree, I'm sure!) Giacomo was a wonderful guide and very passionate about each story he told. Very informative. Thank you for a great evening learning about your wonderful city!

This tour was great! Angela was a fun guide and good storyteller. The information was interesting and unique, we loved it.

Angela was a fantastic tour guide. She is a skilled storyteller, and really helped us understand a few of the “dark” stories of Florence. We loved the chance to see places we didn’t know about, and hear facts that may otherwise stay hidden!

Left early. Group was way too large, about 30-35 people trying to navigate the narrow streets of Florence is a disaster. They said it was because the other guide was sick, but the other language group was a similar size. Our guide was a great story teller, but the tour being done in the middle of the evening when it was still light out made it hard to get into the “dark side” stories. OK for a free tour, I guess.

I really enjoyed the tour. The stories were dark and intriguing, the route was architecturally impressive and Giacomo was a great storyteller. Kudos!

Francesca really brought to life the dark side of the history of Florence, I really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the real history of Florence

It was a good way to spend an evening. The stories were great. I wish there were individual headsets. But overall it was fun!!

Angela was amazing! She brought dark tales old and new to life in several locations around the centre of the City. This wasn't a standard "ghost walk" tour (although there were some spooky tales for sure...), but a combination of ghost stories with macabre and tragic historical tales. Would highly recommend, really interesting (and Angela also has a great sense of humour!). If you book this tour, remember that you are only paying a booking fee. You will definately want to tip generously!!

Highly recommend this tour. Francesca was fantastic, she set the scene perfectly for us to imagine what went on years ago at the sites she took us to, reeling us in with her stories and knowledge. Very well thought out tour and I really appreciated that this tour runs in the evening to escape the crowds during the day. Thanks Francesca!

A fun informative tour with Angela. Certainly gave us the dark side of the things that we didn't expect happened in Florence. We liked the ghost stories. Doing it during the nighttime was fun. And made it a little spookier. Angela was a great storyteller.

We love to know the offbeat and hidden stories about cities that we visit hence when we read the description of this tour we immediately booked it. We were happy we did that as Francesca did a great job of telling us stories about the cities darker side. She's a very motivated guide who puts in a lot of effort to connect her guests with the topic she's discussing. And she's very passionate talking about Dante, his life and work.

A spooky tour suitable for everyone. Francesca our guide took us down streets which we would have otherwise walked past without realising the history hiding within them! With it also being an evening tour, the streets were quieter which was lovely. She was very clear & concise with the facts, a must-do for Florence!

Francesca was a fantastic, knowledgeable tour guide. She was animated and captured and held your attention from the start of the tour. We learned SO much fascinating information and legends about Florence and also got to see many famous as well as lesser known sites along the way.
