Lots of food. I mean lots of food. The Trapizzino is absolutely wonderful. At the 2nd place, the array of meats & cheeses (and that wonderful balsamic) paired quite nicely with a lighter red. The pizza at #3 was delish. Found the pasta (bucatini) to be too heavy at this stage, in the game. Also the meat (pig cheek) was too dried out. Nobody at our table finished their pasta and the other 4 were late 20’s, early 30’s - so volume should not have been a problem. My one rec would be to either limit the pasta or use a lighter noodle. Overall, the wines were adequate & plentiful. The gelato was as expected - good. Our guide, Marta, was outstanding. Her info and pace were spot on.

First of all Celeste was an amazing guide! She was great at welcoming and including everyone in the group, and she was right, at the end of the evening we were all friends! Trastevere is such a welcomed relief of a quaint place after the hustle and bustle of Rome. We loved every place we went and the food and wine was simply delicious! We had a friend recommend this to us and we would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Rome! Thank you Celeste!!

The Roman Food Tour was an excellent way to get a snap shot of the food scene in Rome. Our tour guide Celeste was incredible. She was knowledgeable and her background in history was evident throughout the tour. We ate well, laughed and got tips for finding authentic Italian food at home. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Rome.

Such a fun way to explore Rome on our first night with a food tour with Chiara from The Roman Food Tour. She was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable of the area and about the foods provided. She has a great personality and was engaging with everyone in the group. She had a great relationship with the restaurants visited. We would highly recommend for the future. Go hungry because you will be fed!!

This was my third wine and food tour while I have been in Italy - the other 2 being in Florence and Venice (with different operators). I liked this one the best of the 3. The food and wine were excellent, everyone was having a good time and I felt as our Guide, Ottavia was a great host ensuring that everyone had a good time.

Great guide, great food, enjoyable co-participants. All of the locations were great and the variety of food excellent. Frankly, could not finish last slice of pizza because we were too full.

When you have top mark on Tripadvisor, the expectations are also sky high. So were mine. The tour started really well. Nice and energetic guide, good small bits of food with decent wine, and even presentations from the restaurant staff. 1st stop Suppli and Trappizino. The Suppli were really delicious. 2nd stop antipasti with both black and white truffles. Really so good. Interesting to compare Prosciutto di Parma (Italy) with Jamón Ibérico (Spain). Good wine. Then the promised tasting of small pizza slices and portions of pasta had been changed to a full dish of pasta, where you could choose one of three varieties. Not so very educational, and by now, we were all quite full. No one finished their dishes. The guide seemed to have less to explain about puzza or pasta in Italy. Last stop Gelato. Good taste, but the promised explanation of how to distinguish real gelato from fake (and other things about this world famous Italian dish) were not delivered. So, in summary, excellent start, but it went a bit downhill in the latter part of our tour.

Fantastic tour. Highly recommend. Went to four amazing restaurants and had wonderful food. Pace was very good. Our tour guide. Deborah was one of the best guides we’ve ever had on any tour. She was knowledgeable, personable, engaging and funny. As we ate the different dishes, we were able to learn about their authentic Italian cuisine and history. Found some new favorite restaurants. Our group was a lot of fun and we made some new friends. Come hungry.

Loved this tour! Delicious food, more wine than you can drink. Fran, our guide, was so knowledgeable and her commentary and teaching about the ingredients and customs just made the experience that much more enjoyable! We started at Trapizzino which had white wine and delicious pizza-pocket like food called trapizzino! The next stop included red wine and the most delicious meat and cheese board I’ve ever had. All locally sourced, and Fran explained each bite to us. The truffle infused cheeses/spreads were particularly good! Third stop was pasta and pizza with red and white wines. I had a carbonara so tasty I almost cried. Hands down some of the best pasta I’ve had. Finished the tour off with what else but gelato! Highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and good wine!

We had a very good time on the tour, in large part due to our guide’s professional and organized approach to managing the entire event, and skill in describing the food and Italian culture behind the chosen options. Carson interacted well with our large group, all were friendly and interested in the information presented. The food and wine variety, quantities, and quality were all impressive. At each stop a table was pre set for us and we felt very welcome and enjoyed the experience thoroughly.
