We took a private tour with Manny of this amazing city that should be on your itinerary. He was a font of information and delivered it with passion and pride as he is fifth generation in Toledo. We gained insight on the art of damascene at Paco de Lucia’s home, a unique opportunity in Toledo. Manny also pointed out many personal spots(the church of his first communion & where his parents married). He spoke with sweet nostalgia about how he finally gained the courage to speak English at a tour counter. He also pointed out where he made his stage debut!! Those heartfelt pieces of information made Toledo even more special to us. Coupled with its rich history, this tour was exceptional. He has a great sense of humor and represents himself and his beloved city with distinction.

Our private walking tour with Manuel was by far the highlight of our stay in Toledo. Manuel shared his extensive knowledge of the complex cultural and political history of Toledo, as well as showing us the wonderful architectural and artistic highlights. We mostly walked through back roads away from the crowds, but also went into one of the last remaining synagogues in the city and saw the amazing painting by El Greco in the St Tome church. Our walk through the Jewish Quarter was particularly insightful. The history of Toledo came alive with Manuel, who was also so friendly, humorous and patient. The best three hours you’ll spend in Toledo!

Our guide Daniel was a phenomenal host and gave us a great tour of Toledo. The night prior to our day trip he texted us and we told him we would be arriving early - he gave us some suggestions on what to do. Then we we met him he customized our tour so we would see some different sites. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and made it a great experience. After the tour ended and we got to the train station we learned that our train to Madrid would be significantly delayed. I texted Daniel and he immediately responded with some various options to get back to Madrid. We ended up taking one of those options and made it back that night. Excellent service.
