Never again! Airbnb, needs to crack down on tour companies using its platform to promote a false sense of an Airbnb experience. There were so many things terribly wrong with this “experience.” Allow me to break down my experience as Follows: I was told by Gabriel the driver was in my hotel lobby and he was looking for me, he wasn’t. I was standing outside when the driver pulled up. FIRST RED flag. I began receiving calls and text messages from Trip Advisor. Strange because I didn’t book any Cancun tours with them. I messaged Gabriel and asked him what was going on and if this tour hosted by a tour company. He lied and asked me to ignore and block the calls and text messages from the tour company. I reconfirmed with the tour guide, Christian about this tour, and he assured me that everything was okay. At that time, I received a called from tour company telling me that I have got on the wrong bus. I asked him to speak with the phone representative as I don’t know what is going on (at this point, I lost interest in this tour). I would not advise this experience to anyone, specifically a solo lady traveler. About the tour: < Once the Christian checked the attendance and collected the $15 dollars, he proceeded to hand everyone their lunch bag which included 1 of each sandwich, apple, juice box dessert cookie and breath mint. < The first stop on this tour was the Tulum ruins. A few others and I were asked to join another tour guide (from another company) that spoke English. We arrived at this stop shortly after 11:20 am and needed to meet the bus no later than 12:30PM. Hence, were not able to conclude with the full ruins tour. This portion of the tour was super rushed. < Next, we arrived at Muyil and saw another ruin/temple and then to a break for lunch. Respectfully, the lunch was the highlight of the entire “experience”. < WE DID NOT STOP AT ANY BEACHES!!! Upon arrival to the Cenote, I took note that this Cenote looked NOTHING like what is pictured as being a part of this experience. Guests climbed down a “hole” with over 80 steps to get to the water. I can’t swim and only desired to take photos. The tour guide Christian insisted I should have some excitement and swim even though I mentioned to him I can’t swim. He jokingly suggested that he should push me in the water. Not cool. Lastly, we stopped at Playah de Carmen 7:30Pm, giving the group and hour to walk around. Upon return, the bus was nowhere to be found! I had to contact Gabriel to help me hunt this bus down. Totally not a great feeling at all. At the end, the driver dropped me to the main entrance of the hotel security checkpoint. Christian (tour guide called me a cab to drive me the rest of the way to the hotel. Once I entered the cab, THAT DRIVER had the child lock on! This was an Airbnb experience from hell! I will NEVER book this experience, and I will not recommend it to anyone else, particularly ladies traveling alone! This “experience” lasted 15 damn hours!! Killed my entire day!Luis, Librado and Victor are great tour guys always on time and great giving intructions thank you guys !!

First off, I want to make this point very clear: It was safe for the whole family. The staff was professional and courteous. The tour was fun and it was cool to see the ruins and to swim in a Cenote. It was a good tour, it just was not what we expected and the timeline was a touch of a setback To begin, they did not pick us up for the tour at our hotel, but made us travel to a different pickup location. It would have been no issue if to pick us up at the hotel we were staying at, but they made us travel a mile up the road to be picked up at the different hotel. (no, no one else was waiting there, it was just us). We got there 30 minutes before our pickup time (09:45) to be sure we were early. We did not get picked up until after 10:15. We got climbed on our full tour bus (which was no problem) and we headed off to what we thought was the start of our tour (the Tulum ruins was first, followed by the Cenote). Instead they dropped off several other tours first. Basically, they hire a big bus and put a number of different tours on it that are all in a similar location. So you spend more time that you would like stopping at things that are not your trip while people load and unload. After unloading some folks for a different tour, we left for Tulum and got a below average tour of the ruins. The guide was nice (we did not have the same guide of the whole day, but rather had different guides for different portions of the trip). but only gave a very topical overview of the ruins (about 10 minutes). Beings I'm not Mayan, I was excited to learn about the Mayan's, but instead got told very little. Again, he was polite, just not educational. We were told to meet back at the bus at 13:45. We were the only ones who made it back on time. The bus finally loaded and left at 14:15. We then went to Aktun Chen (which is a pretty cool place) after dropping off some other folks for another tour. After the tour of the Cenote, we went back to one of the previous drop points for a different tour and waited for almost an hour for them to load up. We then got dropped back at our pickup location, not our hotel. All that to say, the trip was good, just ended up being over 10 hours and only 4 of that was really seeing/doing anything. The rest of the time was sitting and waiting and wondering what was going on.
