This was my 2nd time on this amazing tour. Forrest provided great history and cultural information about Charleston. The walking tour was fantastic, but the lunch after was just incredible! The meal was so delicious with so much attention to detail, texture and flavor. This reinvigorated my desire to be a better cook. Highly recommend!

This was a great and unique tour. The actual walking pat was very informative. Forrest had a lot of knowledge about the area and how it affected food. He had good humor and stories about the places we walked. The food part was excellent! He seamlessly adjusted individual dishes for any food allergies or preferences. His description of what and how he was cooking was the best. He also interacted well with those of us on the tour seeking information about us and relating things to us. I can't say enough about how helpful he was when talking about food and offering help when needed even after the tour. Would definitely do this again!

The Chef introduced us to so many relatively unknown elements of Charleston's history with humor and in a way that demonstrated his expertise as a tour guide. His cooking class was superb! This is an experience I would like to repeat the next time I visit Charleston.

Our half day with Chef Forrest was the most impactful experience during our trip to the absolutely wonderful city of Charleston. His was tour was filled with incredible stories of the history of Charleston and cuisine woven in throughout. But his lunch was truly remarkable fit for foodies. Chef Forrest Parker is extremely knowledgeable about the area. He brought the history of Charleston to life! I learned a significant amount regarding Charleston role in the Revolutionary and Civil wars and the influence of the various cultures on the architecture, agriculture, and traditional culinary dishes. He imparted his knowledge with wit and wisdom. We ended our time with the Chef cooking and serving us a delicious 3-course meal with local products that have historic significance to the area. He even shares his recipes and provided helpful cooking tips. I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was a wonderful way to kick off our Charleston visit. Chef Forrest beautifully shares his passion for Charleston, its history, its food, and its people. The walking tour took us to several must-sees, but plenty of hidden gems, as well. The meal that was shared after our walk was absolutely incredible. Everything is locally sourced and prepared right in front of the patrons. My husband and I had an incredible time and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston.

Wow! What a unique and amazing experience. Chef Forest was both a great tour guide as well as expert chef! He clearly has a passion for both the city of Charleston and for cooking. I was honestly expecting just a short 1-1.5 hour tour, but we toured for 2-2.5 hours, then had a good 2.5 hrs in the restaurant for cooking and dining. The food was of course fantastic and great touch that all recipes were shared after the class. Also appreciated the wine to complement each course! Would highly recommend.

Chef Forrest Parker is the best, funniest, awesome chef and this is THE BEST THING you can do in Charleston. Had the best time with his service and best good I have ever eaten. So knowledgeable about the history and architecture of Charleston. No doubt, will refer this to everyone we know.

Chef Forrest was a great tour guide, passionate and extremely knowledgeable about all things Charleston, and a lot of fun during the tour. But the real magic for us began when we got back to his kitchen, and he prepared 2 amazing traditional southern dishes followed by an incredible dessert. All paired with excellent wines. He worked around our food allergies with no issues whatsoever. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend this experience!!

This tour was excellent. Great experience having a profession chef cook for you, chat about food and history, and answer cooking questions. Of course, the food was amazing! My husband and I both thought this was probably the best tour we have done. Highly recommended!!

Holy moly- don’t hesitate to book this tour / dinner experience… Chef is passionate about Charleston, the history, the food, entertaining, making delicious food that is so darn enjoyable! Well worth the cost!! Wonderful!
