With a long weekend in Paris just around the corner and the wife really wanting to visit Versailles, I was surprised to that she liked the idea of a bike tour. I have to say neither of us regularly take to bicycles so I thought this would probably not be our preferred site seeing experience. There is always a certain degree of apprehension when you book something like this, and I was keen to check previous reviews and read previous experiences. I had no need to worry, the communication by boutique bike tours was excellent and their pre-tour instructions were clear. We met at the station at 9am and our guide looked after us from that moment on. Once we arrived at Versailles by train we were assigned an appropriate bicycle, and these were quality well made French and English bicycles kept in very good order with the capability to carry all your bags etc. with baskets on the front or panniers on the back. There was a quick practise and then we were off to the market, I think without an organised tour I would probably have missed this part of Versailles, and knowing what I know now that would have been a great shame, it was fantastic, the variety of foods was amazing and almost overwhelming when trying to decide the contents of your picnic for that day. It soon became clear that without a bicycle you probably won’t be able to do what we did, and see what we saw in one day on foot. Luckily the rain pretty much held off and the sunshine made an occasional appearance, I could imagine lots of rain would be a spoiler for this kind of excursion. If I had any criticism then it would be that the visit to the gardens felt a little rushed and I would have like more time to soak up the grandeur and see more, but at the same time, I get it, it would be hard to do this in one day even on bikes. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the day and we had a giggle along the way.

The tour was absolutely incredible and Nicolas was an amazing guide. I underestimated the expansiveness of Versailles and thanks to this tour I was able to see so much more then I expected. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a memorable experience and an amazing day

We loved this tour! Andres was so fun and full of knowledge. The bikes were easy to ride, the Versailles market was exciting- you have to buy the strawberries, and you will have the best picnic in the gardens.

We had an amazing time on our tour of Versailles. The day was perfectly paced and we learned so much about the town, gardens, and palace. The whole team was fantastic to work with and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to spend a day in Versailles!

Excellent tour. The meeting point was easy to find. The tour was well organized. The bikes worked well. It was great having a guide point out highlights both inside the chateau and outside exploring the massive grounds. The highlight was visiting the Queen’s Hamlet, which would have been difficult to see without bikes. The stop at the market and subsequent picnic on the canal was delightful. I highly recommend this tour.

Everything Nefi could control was wonderful, she was like a mother hen making sure all of us were well taken care of, happy and informed on a great tour of all aspects Versailles. The weather did not cooperate and remained quite cool but can't blame Nefi for that. The day, beyond the temperature, was wonderful: escorted from the train station in Paris, taken to the market in Versailles to buy for our picnic with time to brouse, taken to all sorts of places at Versailles: the formal gardens, Marie As private hamlet and then a very good private tour of the chateau at the end of the day as the crowds lessened. Nefi had so many fun and interesting historical tidbits to share. take this tour, it is worth every penny!

After fretting over the plethora of option for touring Versailles, we finally based our decision to book this bike tour based on TA reviews. It was a very good decision. Andrea, our tour guide for the day was delightful. The kind of person you feel like it would be fun to sit down and have a beer with (Italian beer of course). He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Versailles and its storied residents and he mixed in fun little antidotes to keep it from being too dry. Opting to do a bike tour was definitely a good decision. Having the ability to get down to the canal area for our picnic lunch was perfect. The tour of the actual palace was conducted at a very good pace. Unfortunately, there were some technical issues with the sound system but those were overcome with a loud voice! All in all it was a fantastic way to spend the day at this opulent place.

Very fun way to tour Versailles. Our guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy his work. The grounds of Versailles are huge. Biking was a great way to see much of the beautiful grounds.

This is hands down the best way to visit Versailles. A quick train from Paris, great bikes, cycling around Versailles and the public gardens, a guided walk through the palace and gardens, time for lunch at the local market, and time spent with new friends. Our guide Nafi was amazing. Book this, you will love it

The bicycle tour was so beautiful in spite of some cool, windy weather. Nafi was a very personable and knowledgable guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

From start to finish, Matthew was an excellent tour guide. We were able to learn so much history about Versailles. The bike ride through the city and the park was fun, and the trip to the market to pick out our lunch was an unexpected highlight of the day! One of our favorite days in Paris!

This was a great tour and tour guide! It was fun to bike around Versailles and get to know the town and its history. It was fun to go to the markets, pick out food for a picnic and enjoy our meal in view of Versailles palace next to the water. Lunch was followed by a tour of the palace grounds and we wrapped it up with a tour of inside the palace. Don’t miss this one!

What a perfect way to see and experience Versailles! I absolutely loved biking around the city and the gardens and seeing all the sights this way. Our tour guide, Andrea, was so knowledgeable and super funny! He helped make the experience memorable. I only wish we would have eaten lunch a bit earlier. But other than that this tour is excellent. Just bring some snacks to hold you over.

An absolute must do! Nico, our guide was phenomenal, pace was easy, lunch (purchased at the markets) was a delightful picnic. Of course the house and gardens are unmatched. Don’t miss this one for a day out of Paris
