We had a van for the four of us, with an excellent driver, very kind and helpful, very good at English language, Nubi. Mustafa Elkereti, our guide, filled our day with extensive knowledge on Egypt history and fun. We had an unexpected but lovely crossing of the Nile by boat. The restaurant could be better ( food too salty, even though we requested a non-salted meal) so that could be improved. The trip was exhausting because of the 5 hours drive from and back to Hurghada, but we would repeat it gladly with this new friends. People can make trips like this memorable! Thank you Nubi and Mustafa!I don’t usually write reviews unless I want to either warn or really endorse something. This trip was for me very unique and one I hope for many others to experience! I don’t usually write reviews unless I want to either warn or really endorse something. This trip was for me very unique and one I hope for many others to experience! Before I begin; I suffer from mild anxiety and thus try to put myself out there, which is why I did this tour by myself. Also I value the feeling of inclusion and safety extremely highly. First of all as I have seen some other reviews saying this is a private tour; it is not. By design this tour is for up to around 10(?) people, since the minibus can hold about 13 if you huddle up. I would not recommend being this many in the bus, as the comfort of riding from and to Hurghada is lost. Because this is definitely a very nice minibus! On the 16 of February, by coincidence, I had this tour to myself. The 2 other people who were supposed to join, unfortunately fell ill. I say unfortunately, since they missed out. So this review might be a bit different for a tour of 10 people, just keep that in mind. The drivers (yes there’s two, in case of one of them needs to rest) are very nice and skilled, but they keep to them selves mostly, which is both good and bad, since you might feel a bit of abandonment, if you are alone. The minivan was flawless and made me feel like a VIP since I had it to myself. The drive itself was not too bad, I would advice to bring cash for the restrooms (as mentioned in other reviews). 5 EUD per visit to them. We stopped at a cafe/shop/restroom site once each way. Here the local salesmen will try to sell you all sorts of stuff. I was approached by a guy selling scarfs, who did not take no for a answer more that 20 times did I have to tell him no. This was a severe anxiety trigger for me, so be aware of that. You could ask the driver just to sit in the car, if you prefer that, but they take a good 15-20 minutes before they are back from the “drivers-lounge”. Upon arriving at Luxor (be advised that there’s a bunch of police-checkpoints along the way), one of the drivers got out, and Abdul joined instead. This was the moment I started to really relax. Abdul is a wonderful person, and his English is amazing compared to anyone else here! He is an Egyptologist and you can fell (and he tells you too) that he loves his job(s). One as the Egyptologist, and the other as a tour guide. Also this is where the tour really begins! You will be taken to all the sites, though maybe not in the order listed in the itinerary, but if theres changes, it is because Abdul knows a better or more optimised route, so don’t worry! The benefit of this tour is also that you don't have to worry about getting the tickets needed, Abul will take care of it for you. So nice since it can be confusing to know where to go and how to use it. At some point you are taken to the craftsmen who still hone the profession of stone carving, and you will be able to buy some figurines or vases here! This was more expensive than I had imagined, but that is alright since this is the real stuff, and you can pay with card here too. I would advise against buying anything unless Abdul says that it is ok to buy. And If you ask him very nicely, he can advise you what to buy and maybe even haggle for you a bit! More praise to Abdul! I would also recommend you bring 300 EUD (at the time of writing this) if you want to buy a pack of photos from the tombs with a DVD with material from all over Egypt. Usually I have a pretty hard time when eating, since that is where my anxiety can catch up to me. But this lunch was amazing! Rooftop restaurant called the African served such delicious food and with a view of the Nile in the background! I was so overjoyed that all bad feelings washed away. While we ate the bus drove to the other side of the Nile (without us) and when we were done eating, we took a small boat to cross. This was a nice timesaver and really cool to sail on the Nile! When we were done at Karnak temple(s), around 3 pm., Abdul bid farewell and the other driver joined us again for the ride back, for safety reasons as before. We arrived in Hurghada around 7:30 pm just in time to be able to grab dinner at my hotel. Be advised that you will feel pretty exhausted after this tour, but it is oh so worth it!I I truly hope you will consider this tour instead of the cheaper once, since you get so much more out of this than I had imagined. Plus the feeling of being secure and well taken care of all the way. Thank you again for an amazing trip!We arranged a private tour from Hurghada to Luxor through Mr Hass at Love Egypt tours. We arranged a private tour from Hurghada to Luxor through Mr Hass at Love Egypt tours. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children (5,9,10 and 14 years old). We saw the excellent reviews on trip advisor and hence decided to go with Love Egypt tours. Booking the tour was very easy and Mr Hass kept me informed of all the arrangements. Mr Ahmed our driver picked us promptly at 5.30 am in an air conditioned minivan. The drive was very comfortable and took around 4 hrs to the valley of the kings. We were met there by Mr Abdul our local guide. He has an enormous knowledge of ancient Egyptian history. We were very impressed with the way he got the children involved in the tour. They thoroughly enjoyed it. We visited three tombs, temple of Hatshepsut and a local village where we saw sculptors carving stones. Following this we had a delicious lunch (Egyptian cuisine) on the river Nile whilst crossing from the west to the east bank. We then visited the beautiful Karnak temple. Mr Abdul also took us to an authentic papyrus painting store on our request before we left Luxor around 5pm. We were back in our resort in Hurghada at 8.30pm. Overall a great, memorable trip that was thoroughly enjoyable for the whole family including the children. Many thanks to Mr Hass and Mr Abdul for making this so special for us.It was my first time in Egypt and a private tour is the best decision if you are in the country only for a week. It was my first time in Egypt and a private tour is the best decision if you are in the country only for a week. LoveEgyptTour has it all. Great service, a very good driver (Omar) and an amazing tour guide (Abdul). Abdul knows it all about Luxor and Egypt. He had a very personal touch to our tour. He took us to an Egyptian restaurant for lunch with delicious food. I always have wanted to visit Egypt when I studied in high school. Finally, my dream has come true and LoveEgypt Tour made it very special. If you are hesitating between group or private tour choose private, because you will learn so much more and you will save so much more time.Family of 3 (2 adults, 8 year old child) did the one day tour of Luxor from Hurghada. Family of 3 (2 adults, 8 year old child) did the one day tour of Luxor from Hurghada. The tour company was great and we had a brilliant day. Our guide Abdul and drivers were all fabulous. Abdul was able to answer all our questions and was great with my son. Would recommend, my only hesitation is that I wish we had a second day there as there is so much to see and do.
