We walked around the outside Port of Costa Maya for well over an hour looking for our driver with our sign with our names on a sign. We walked around the outside Port of Costa Maya for well over an hour looking for our driver with our sign with our names on a sign. Literally walked the entire mile + of cabs asking for Gabriel to take us to Nohoch Kay. Finally walking back for the 3rd time we grabbed a kind cab driver who took us for $8.00 to Nohoch Kay. We were suppose to meet Gabriel at 7:30am as it was a short day in Costa Maya. When we arrived at Nohoch Kay, it was closed. No one in sight, thank GOODNESS our cab driver helped us locate their manager on the beach. She was never informed to expect us. She called our guide with the number provided (given we do not have cell phone service in Mexico without a HUGE fee, and again we thought we were meeting Gabriel at 7:30am outside of Port). She finally opened shop for us, but everything was a bit delayed since they were not expecting us. It was not their fault and they did what they could. Weather hindered us from being able to snorkel or kayak because it was so dangerously windy. We ended up having to leave around 11:00am due to lack of amenities we were promised in our all-inclusive package. We REALLY wanted to love this excursion as it was our LAST stop on our trip. We were very disappointed. If communication was properly prepared for this trip it may have been worth it, but being our most expensive booking on the trip as well we were very dissatisfied.mavericktourist

Soo happy to find this gem! Yorbing & the staff at Nohoch Kay are what really make this place special. We had a palapa reserved just for us, check-in was a breeze. They walked through the facilities, food/drink, activities, and it was lovely... Although not huge, it is perfect, accessible, safe & clean. The staff speaks English well & is very attentive. The place is kept really clean, food is really tasty & the service is excellent. They wash down the cans before serving, there are easy access drinks on the waterfront so you don't have to wait for staff, nor have to get up & go to the bar.. The seafood ceviche was yummy, fish tacos & guacamole so tasty! Portions were excellent & it was GOOD! The beach is SUPER clear & there are plenty of fish everywhere. There are some vendors that do walk the water line, however the staff make it very apparent that they should not be overstepping the waterfront & should not solicit guests, or walk up to the lounger/palapas. The water is calm & protected from sargassum by netting so it is kept clean. There is plenty of SHADE. If you pre-reserve with a family they will reserve palapas up front so parents can supervise their children easily. Water is so calm & low that you can walk far out & still be on your knees, in fact we saw folks wayyyyyy out there fishing on a sandbar! There is a shop that sells watershirts on property & a small stretch of local vendors selling crafts. We took an excursion, but will be booking direct & taking a cab directly next time we head to Costa Maya. We will even bring our groups with us. Thanks so much!! We WILL be back.Slynne1979

We had an amazing time!! Our ship was 2 hours late to pick up and Gabriel still was waiting for us at the port answering my calls to find the taxi. Once in the taxi it was a short 5 minute ride where we were met with SUPER MARIO, (if your reading this YOU ARE THE BEST). He brought us straight to our seats that were right in the front of the ocean, introduced himself, spoke awesome english, and gave us a run down of all they had to offer. We got drinks and food for the 4 hours we stayed and also got to go out and swim and use the free kayaks. The restaurant was only a couple feet behind our chairs and all our food was free. There was also loads of shopping right by, and I even indulged in a massage on the beach right next to my seats. I will say the drinks weren't very strong but they tasted super yummy and bathrooms are very accessible. We were taken back to the ship whenever we wanted and they ensured we got back on time. 100000/10 on Nohoch Kay beach club.
