The one-day Dhampus tour takes us back from the busy city of Pokhara to the rural area of the Annapurna region. From the beautiful village of Dhampus, we see the full beauty of the Annapurna range with the magnificent peaks of Annapurna South, Himchule and Machhapuchre Himal. On this one day tour, we have the chance to deep dive into the rural life of Nepal. A great alternative to a multi-day trekking tour.
We start our tour after breakfast in Pokhara for 45 min. drive by taxi to Phedi. From Phedi, we walk 3 hours to Dhampus village and stay there for lunch. After lunch, we descend to Kande and from there take a taxi back to Pokhara.

In the hiking time he was my guide which became my pluspoint in the sense that the guide was the same person to whom I was contacted. I really liked the way of talking and behaving to others. We had not a long time in Nepal and we decided to do a short trekking. We visited many different trekking agencies and finally we found Breathe Nepal Trekking which impress us and decided to do hiking with them. Roman the owner talked to us and provide us the Guide Ganesh for the hiking to Dhampus for 1. He was the best guide. He is young, energetic and knowledgable guide. He provide us the knowledge about culture, custom and tradition about the local village , how they live and many more. I will recommend this Company and Guide Ganesh for the Hiking.I found Roman and Breathe Nepal Trekking via Tripadvisor. After a brief email exchange I met him personally in his office. I found Roman and Breathe Nepal Trekking via Tripadvisor. After a brief email exchange I met him personally in his office. I didn't know exactly what to do because I didn't have much time and Roman suggested the Dhampus trek. You don't need any special equipment for this tour and don't need to be in super good shape. So I decided to do it. It is a very nice tour where I could dive into the country life and enjoy beautiful landscapes. I will remember this day with pleasure, also because of Roman, who was a great companion. We talked the whole day and in the end I had the feeling that we have known each other for a very long time. The day was very nice and I really enjoy writing this text for Roman to promote his work. Very good job!I did the trek to Dhampus for 1 days. We booked this trek on a whim, and it was very much worthwhile. From the outset, Roman was very engaged with us, and very knowledgable about the route, villages, history and wildlife. The trek itself is an incline for the first 2 hours, after which you arrive at the Australia Camp for photos. Depending on the month and weather, from here you will get some amazing shots of the Annapurna ranges. After a short reat, we then walked about 45mins to Dhampus Village, where we stopped for lunch and coffee. It was simple, but delicious food, which we appreciated. After the rest, its a 5km decline hike to the pickup point. The hike itself is about 60 - 90 mins from Pokhara, which you do by taxi. There are plenty of shops to buy water and snacks from if needed. I very much recommend Breathe Nepal as a tour guide.
