Pass By: Dalarö Kajak, Askfatshamnen, Askfatsvägen, 137 70 Dalarö, Sweden
We’ll meet at 09.00 at the office south of Stockholm before driving together to Dalarö, a charming little village, from where we’ll begin paddling with our kayak . On the way it’ll come to your notice, one of those magnificent little wooden red houses, discreetly placed among the pines.
We’ll explore different islands by kayak all along the day. Our kayak tour will be granted by a filling meal that we will share on one of the deserted islands. There, we’ll take time to rest, with only companion the swell of the Baltic and the singing birds. In the end of the afternoon, we will paddle towards Dalarö our starting point. We’ll go around other islands and get the opportunity to see other fantastic things from this part of the archipelago that is probably one of the nicest and wildest. It’d be magic to see a sea eagle circling around the islands, looking for the ideal prey. Maybe one of those numerous migratory birds like different types of goose or this famous great cormorant flying over the horizon on the direction to the north.
The head full of memories and after have been refilled with pure air, we’ll return to Stockholm to come back to the joy of the civilisation.

We had 2 trips booked. On our first day the greeting we received was awful. We walked into the office, did not get greeted by anyone, the other guests lucky confirmed we were in the correct place. The guide Alex then proceeded to abruptly tell us we were in the way and to move. We moved twice more and both times were told to get outside in case we knocked something over, having read reviews on a 5* experience we were disappointed to say the least. All the guest were talking about him and were worried. Alex talked a lot about not having had his coffee and rushed a lot to get us on the water for the 1 day Kayaking trip . Once on the Water our guide Alex chilled out and we had a wonderful day. The experience was fantastic and we had a lovely group to share the adventure with. Despite the rocky start I would still recommend the trip. You are in the water kayaking for at least 3/4 hours, be prepared and take a big water bottle. You will have a great day! The next day we did the 1 day hiking experience. This time upon arrival we were greeted warmly with a hand shake from a very friendly Oscar. The day was out of this world, we hiked around a lake and swam in in at the lunch stop. Oscar found us wild deer, woodpeckers, red squirrels and taught us a lot about the surrounding nature and Swedish traditions. A true 5* experience, would highly recommend. The lunch is sausage wraps cooked on an open fire which adds to the experience and is a lovely touch. This trip turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Sweden! This trip turned out to be the highlight of our visit to Sweden! Our tour guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and took the time to tell us about the area as we travelled through it and he also cooked us a super lunch! We saw lots of wildlife and stopped for a swim on an idyllic little island in the middle of the Baltic! The Kayaking was great fun and the route was not difficult at all making it accessible to those with not much experience. As a family, two adults and an 11 year old, we had a great time and would definately do this again. Thanks for such a great trip, it will live long in the memory! :)I had the best day out on tour! Very knowledgeable and great to get to know on the tour! I would gladly go on another tour and sad I will miss out on the sunset kayak tour in the city! We met at the tour agency's office, which was easy to get to. Helped Daniel pack into the van, then he drove us to the kayaking site. It took roughly 40 minutes to get there. At the kayaking site we learned how to use the kayaks, the paddles, what to do in case we capsize, etc... We all had waterproof pouches for any small belonging, like phones. I brought one of those transparent waterproof holsters for my phone so I could take photos. Worked pretty well. The kayaks each had a separate waterproof compartment for our backpacks. After everyone preparing their own kayaks and donning our gear, we set out for some paddling. It takes a bit of learning how to navigate but it's a lot of fun. I wish I dressed a bit warmer (it was September) but it wasn't too bad. On a sunny day it would've been warmer, but we cought rain. After 1.5 hrs of paddling we reached our lunch spot, a charming wooded island in the beautiful archipelago. There - while our little group explored the island and took plenty of insta-content - Daniel cooked our meal. Basically hotdogs with plenty of toppings as well as tea and coffee. It tasted great after all the hard work. I particularly liked the vegan and gluten free options (these have to be requested when you buy the ticket). Then we headed back, on a slightly different route, stopped here and there, frolicked around in the water, as we were all more confident with the paddles now. Back at the kayaking site, we all washed our own kayaks and stowed away the equipment. This makes sense as we also got clean equipment ourselves. Then Daniel drove us back. It was a perfect way to spend a day and make new friends. Highly recommend it to anyone.Fantastic guide (Alex), quality kayaks, and a fantastic day on the water. I would recommend it to any active travelers.
