Stop At: Ullswater Lake, England

We stop on the shore of Ullswater for another photo opportunity

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Aira Force Waterfall, Penrith CA11 0JS England

An opportunity to take a short walk through the forest to the waterfall of Aira Force. It's great to be able to explore the outdoors here on well established paths.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Castlerigg Stone Circle, Castle Lane Underskiddaw, Keswick CA12 4RN England

We then make our way to Castlerigg Stone Circle to explore this late Neolithic stone circle.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Theatre by the Lake, Lake Road, Keswick CA12 5DJ England

Our lunch stop is at the cafe attached to the Theatre by the Lake at Lakeside, Keswick. This great location is right next to Derwentwater and you will have plenty of opportunity to explore the area

Stop At: Derwent Water House Keswick on Derwentwater Nbiughl, Keswick CA12 5RF England

There is time for a brief walk along the shore of Derwentwater

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Ashness Bridge, Keswick England

We now make our way to Suprise View and Ashness Bridge for fantastic views across Derwentwater towards Catbells and Skiddaw. You will have plenty of time for photos!

Stop At: Honister Slate Mine, Honister Pass, Keswick CA12 5XN England

Our next stop is at Honister Slate Mine, the last slate mine in England. The views from here are fantastic.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Buttermere Lake, Buttermere, Cockermouth CA13 9XA England

We travel down the Honister Pass to Buttermere. More opportunities for photos!

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Moss Force Waterfall, Buttermere, Cockermouth CA12 5TS England

After climbing up the Newlands Pass we arrive at Moss Force waterfall. We will stop here to take in the views.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Bassenthwaite Lake, A66, Bassenthwaite, Keswick England

Weather permitting, we will call in at a great overlook spot for Bassenthwaite Lake.

Pass By: The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, Church Cottage, Grasmere LA22 9SW England

We pass through Grasmere and see the world famous Gingerbread Shop

Stop At: Wordsworth Grasmere, 591 Dove Cottage A, Grasmere LA22 9SH England

A brief stop outside of Dove Cottage to see the place where William Wordsworth lived.

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • The time of pickup from Oxenholme train station is timed to meet the first train heading towards Glasgow from London Euston on Mondays to Saturdays
  • The English Lake District weather can change quickly, even in the summer months. Please bring a waterproof coat with a hood in case of rain or windy weather
  • As there is a little walking involved on the tour, some uphill and on uneven or wet terrain, please wear suitable, comfortable shoes

  • The route is subject to change is the weather conditions prevent us using our normal routes
  • Children under the age of 5 can travel on this tour but we do not recommend it

Please do not change to a different departure point without informing us in advance as we don't automatically go to every departure point. If we don't know you have changed your departure point we may not pick you up for the tour!
