This tour was excellent from start to finish. The communication was clear, with hotel collection and drop off at agreed times. The transport was clean & comfortable, and we were very well looked after with bottled water and cold towels after each stop. The tour itself was really well thought out - Day 1 covering Angkor Wat and some of the other main temples (e.g. the Tomb Raider Temple), and for us started at 8am, via a brief stop to collect the Temple passes (there is currently a promotion on where you buy a 1 day ticket and it's valid for 2 days), then on to Angkor Wat. Day 2 was the Angkor Wat sunrise, then some additional temples including Banteay Srei that is roughly 40km outside the main Siem Reap city, but well worth a visit. Our guide was Samath (or 'Sam'), who was absolutely excellent - incredibly knowledgeable about all the temples, extremely pleasant and happy, spoke very good English and also takes excellent photos for you to capture the memories. Sam knew all the best times to visit the temples, and gave extensive details about each one. Our driver - Mr Srieng, was also very good - we felt safe the entire time, and very well looked after returning from each temple to cold water and towels. We would highly recommend anyone to book with Happy Angkor Tour - whilst there are cheaper tours out there, none of the ones we saw appeared to be nearly as detailed or as enjoyable as ours, so this one is well worth the money. Finally, at time of writing (Jan 2022), it is a FANTASTIC time to visit Cambodia and Angkor Wat. Compared to the 15,000+ tourists that used to be there each day, there are hardly any at the moment, so you feel like you have the temples to yourselves. No queuing, amazing photos with no one else in the background, and so nice to wander around uninterrupted by other groups. Highly recommend anyone to go visit NOW!We were a large group with complex logistics (lots of people leaving and arriving at different times etc). Happy Angkor were amazing, very flexible and able to cater to all our needs. Both our guides were excellent!

If you want to explore all the main temples and learn about them, this is the trip to take. They take you from one site after another for two days. There may be a decent amount of walking in the bare sun for a few of them. So be prepared with hats and sunscreen. The sunrise over Angkor Wat was the highlight of the trip. Our guide knew all the good spots to take great pictures. He pretty much became our photographer. We got plenty of pictures thanks to his zeal to take pictures for us. The only thing that bothered me a little on the trip was the A/C. The car had good AC but I wish they could start the car a few minutes before we get in. I had to tell them about this several times. But all in all, a good way to spend the day in Siem Reap. Two full days is all you need.We had a very two beautiful days. We made a two day tour with Makara (driver) and Small Mony (guide). Tbh, best driver we had so far in Cambodia, very safe driving style, helpful and courteous. The tour itself was perfect, thanks to Small Mony. We got a lot of information (with some repetitions, which was very good for us, because of the different dates and names of several King’s) to appreciate the wonderful temples in the right context. With just the little background we got from a visit at the museum, this tour helped us a lot to understand the connections between the temples and their builders. Besides his knowledge about the ancient history and his very good English, Small Mony was very helpful and gave us the one or other tip on what to do next. All in all, we were very content with the whole tour (punctual, good English, informative,...). If you have the chance, ask for Makara and Small Mony. It’s worth it.We took our first private guided tour expecting to mostly benefit from learning about the temples, peoples and history of Angkor Wat. We took our first private guided tour expecting to mostly benefit from learning about the temples, peoples and history of Angkor Wat. Our experience was great, but also for different reasons. Our guide, Mr. Sophea was quite knowledgeable about the history. Practically speaking though, the best part was his ability to order where we went, and direct us through the temples/sites to minimize crowding, see the sights, and get the best photos. Mr. Sophea is an excellent photographer, familiar with DSLR/iPhone cameras, and he knows all the best vantage points for pictures, plus when, so as to get the best light. Couple that with a driver who gives you cool towel and cold water when you return to your vehicle - it makes for a great experience.
