David our guide and teacher was fantastic; he had a great eye and a wonderful way of communicating succinctly, and the way he reviewed our photographs and made suggestions was kind and very helpful. I would recommend this to anybody!

I loved this session on so many levels. David took the time to easily and thoroughly explain each step of his teachings and answered all of my many questions. I loved that I could do this with just my iPhone and he totally embraced and celebrated that - no judgment. I left feeling more informed, confident, and started to literally see the world in a different light. My future photos are forever changed and improved thanks to him. Do this early in your trip to Santa Fe and you’ll be amazed at what you capture on your own afterwards. Next time to Santa Fe I’m signing up for the half or full day session! My husband and I did this workshop with David with our iPhones. He is a very good teacher. My husband and I did this workshop with David with our iPhones. He is a very good teacher. As an educator myself, I appreciated his "I do, we do, you do" approach to teaching, using positive and negative examples with lots of guided feedback. David took us to several spots around the plaza that would illustrate perspectives he wanted to teach us. He first took shots that were not quite right and showed us why, then corrected them and showed us the better perspective. (that's the "I do.") He then helped us position ourselves to try it. (that's the "we do") Then he encouraged us to try it on our own, and gave us feedback on each shot. He was very specific about his feedback, and patient and encouraging while we were practicing. He also taught us how to use Snapseed to edit our photos. While I usually carry around a heavy mirrorless camera, this workshop helped me realize that I could make quite good photos with my new iPhone. I highly recommend this workshop.David is a professional photographer that few people would have the opportunity to learn from in their lifetime. Anyone interested in photography should take advantage of this very valuable two hours.

Composition, form and lighting are the tricks we need to know. Favid also taught us how to use Dnapseed to polosh the pics we took.
